Wish they would branch to Dundalk!
The burgers were bigger I think TCM but it still filled me!
You Dont!
Rob your Pockets always seems like the holy grail of fast food joints till your town gets one...the one in Shannon closed after 18 months around. Was a disaster, People dont wanna pay a tenner for a burger and sh*te chips. There is a Chipper in there now selling the basics and doing it well. :D
I didnt find it that pricey tbh and it was for me and the girlfriend. It would be a once in a while place though, cant beat the local chipper!
Yet to try TGI Fridays.

'In the gray dawn light Uncle John waded around the end of the car, past the Joad truck; and he climbed the slippery bank to the highway. He walked down the highway, past the boxcar flat, until he came to a place where the boiling stream ran close to the road, where the willows grew along the road side. He put his shovel down, and holding the box in front of him, he edged through the brush until he came to the edge of the swift stream. For a while he watched it swirl by, lapping its yellow foam against the willow stems. He held the apple box against his chest. And then he leaned over and set the box in the stream and steadied it with his hand. He said fiercely, "Go down an' tell 'em. Go down in the street an' rot an' tell 'em that way. That's the way you can talk. Don' even know if you was a boy or a girl. Ain't gonna find out. Go on down now, an' lay in the street. Maybe they'll know then."'

Just finished reading the whole thread in between 'working'. Took three days. Never checked it out before as thought would be just random, incoherent drivel. It was, and I loved it! Some great ongoing sagas like Pauro's girlfriendzilla and Magicme's battles with hangovers and the dead-beat dad.
Just wondering, has anyone ever met up with a poster from foot.ie, who seemed ok on the forum but was an c**t in person?
On the other hand, has anyone ever met a really obxonious poster who turned out to be a good laugh or whatever?

Ha ha, forgot about that! It's actually still going but I decided to knock the updates on the head as ranting on the forum wasn't helping the situation! I must check my previous posts actually... :p

Romulus and Remus are a bit too common. Every Tom, Dick and Harry is called Romulus these days.

What’s with all the mispronunciations on radio these days?
Skeel-aaah-shee for Squillachi twice on Radio 1 in recent days.
Greev-ee-us bodily harm for grievous on Newstalk.
The Oliver Saint John Gogarty pub advert? Can’t believe that a business would actually get its own name wrong…
Is it too much to ask that if we have to listen to you, you at least get the words right?
Deep breath … <end of rant>
And by the way, congrats to Wolfie and Osasuran!

Any funny memories of first day at secondary school to help me through the trauma of having waved my baby off to first year today.
I told him not to get in trouble like I did by jumping out of a coat closet to scare what I thought was my best friend but turned out to be an elderly nun. Oops.

Wasps do that alright. Bees do this -

And if that's not photoshopped, it is one of the coolest photos I've ever seen. (What looks like a bit of spit trailing out from under the bee would actually be his intestines)

I always end up exasperated when arguing with someone about religion. Especially online.
Ah no, it can be great craic (although I don't tend to bother much online).
Back in Maynooth a couple of Jehova's witnesses called to my house and asked could they have a chat. I invited them in, politely argued with everything they said and after an hour they asked if it was OK if they left. As one of them left one of them commented 'jeez, you've really thought about this' and looked a little dazed, which I took as an enormous compliment. Time previously spent arguing with clerical students was clearly well spent.
Hopefully our little chat helped him see that we was wasting his time on complete horse crap. On the other hand the lady he was with was smoking hot so maybe he knew what he was at after all.

What little I can reveal from the other side suggests that to summon Ruben Sosa, you need to chant it 5 times while looking into a mirror, maybe put on a little Philip Glass in the background...
