Hmmmm

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_hockey_at_the_2010_Winter_Olympics_%E2%80%93_M en%27s_team_rosters#.C2.A0Russia

Its either Gonchar (who's an amazing player)
Federov (who was married to Anna kournikova)
or a guy I@ve never heard of who plays in Russia

My money is on Gonchar (and he's prety high profile)

Incorrect on what you put your money on!

Stevo I love the figure skating too, in fact other than gymnastics and athletics at the summer games, I much prefer the winter games. Have to cheer for my old homeland of Canada first but then Russia coz of my mate, even though she should be cheering for the Americans, her loyalty to her fella outweighs her national pride!!

Did you see Stephane Lambiel in the short format figure skating? This is the first time I've really watched figure skating so I probably don't fully appreciate what's phenominal and what's ordinary but he looked amazing. The headless spin and other moves at the end were incredible. But he came 5th.

8 goals for Canada and Russia in their openers I see. I might stay up and watch some hockey online tonight. I'll pay for it tomorrow but I don't want the olympics to pass by without taking in a mens hokcey match, I have already seen the Canadian women destroy the Swiss though.

Watched 'My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding' on Channel 4. Interesting stuff, but my word, some of the girls featured on that documentary were serious contenders for Totty Watch.

I have hardly seen any of the figure skating at all, in fact havent seen much of anything so far coz have been working late most nights. Hopefully will catch up with some next week.

Gutted for the Russians last night.

I have at least an inch here!

Whooohooo. Love the snow but not so sure this weekend is the one I would pick, after spending weeks promoting a Mentors programme for young footballers in the area all I need is the snow to be covering the astro and not being able to start it!

Was too tired to stay up and watch it Ste. Was it a good game?

Stevo Da Gull
22/02/2010, 11:20 AM
Not a classic but a good game. Canada were poor in the first period and went in 2-0 down. The second and third period were well contested and Canada probably looked the better team in the last two periods, and sometimes it looked as though they were on a powerplay when it was 5 on 5. The atmosphere was great, as you'd expect.

For me, you can easily look at the goaltenders as the difference between the sides. Ryan Miller was excellent and made 42 saves, conceded three. Brodeur was all over the place, trying too hard to have a great game, and was at fault for two of the US' five goals. He left the net a bit exposed to get to the puck on a couple of occasions, and gifted the US a couple of goals as a result. I know Brodeur is a potential game winner, but I'd go with Luongo in goal after that performance.

EDIT: 2-1 down after the first period!

Can anybody help me?

There is this really annoying thing that happens when I'm typing - I'll click on a certain word, to fix the spelling, say, and then click back on the last word I had typerd, and carry on typing. For some reason, every so often (without me touching the mouse) I am suddenly typing back where I had clicked to edit earlier. How can I stop this?

Also, for some reason, after editing a word, any letters / words I type just "swallow up" any text in front of it, instead of just pushing it along in front of it.

Any help?

on the second thing Osa, it happens to me too when i accidentally hit the "insert" button which swallows up the following words. Hitting it again solves the problem... if thats the problem youre having.

I've been having this too. What OS are you using? I think it may be a problem with Windows 7 as I have this problem on my home PC but not on the work machine. I hadn't noticed that it goes back to the line that I'd been editing, but I have noticed that it has been jumping back on itself, normally when I have a good flow of typing going.

I've noticed it mainly happens just after typing a capital letter I.

Strange.

I've had this happen occasionally on laptops when using the mousepad but not when using a mouse plugged in. I thought it was because I'd unwittingly tapped the pad and it acted like clicking the mouse and moved the cursor.

Two things of note for me so far this week. Firstly, Sydney Crosby scores overtime olympic gold winner in a 'I remember where I was when that happened' moment of the future. Second, I
heard a fox scream for the first time. Not sure if anyone here has heard a fox scream/shriek/call.. feckin creepy enough when the light is fading fast and you're in the middle of the woods! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zk1mAd77Hr4&NR=1
