I meant to mention this before. I went to a Celine Dion concert a few months ago. Apart from it being a rip off and she just a dot in the distance at Croke Park (spent most of the time looking at her on the big screen), she proceeded to give a talk on "land mines". WTF!! I don't want to have to pay exhorbitant amounts to see some person who is good at making sounds come out of her mouth at a certain pitch talk to me about land mines and international treaties concerning same. I'll watch the news or the Discovery Channel for that thanks very much. I wish so-called celebrities would stick to what they're good at. I certainly don't want to pay to be lectured by them, no matter what the cause.

Aah, that feels so much better! :)

They are always selling crap merchandise at these gigs..........how much were they charging for the "land mines"?

God, yesterday was absolutely desperate here in London. I was stuck on the bike doing odds and ends for most of the day, so that actually managed to make it worse even though I love being on my bicycle. Out by Camberwell, I was suddenly swept across two lanes of the road with the wind - I was absolutely blessed that there was no traffic at the time, or I wouldn't be here being pass-remarkable right now.

Today, however, is glorious - went for a walk at 07h30 in my new neck of the woods, and it was great to be out. Needless to say, I'm stuck inside today as there is no work requiring me to be out and about. Might go for a spin at lunch anyway though:)

Yup, normally just going to or from it, rather than at it.

And this is me after yesterday.

Tuesday November 11 2008

Roy Keane expelled a shocking flatus through his hind quarter yesterday as he walked through Sunderland's training ground.

"It was a bad one ," Keane began, when discussing the immediate pressure he felt under prior to expelling the air. "A lot of people out there, punters, are getting brain-washed by what's real and what's not real. This was real and they might be surprised to know that Sky commentators also suffer from flatulence but if I fart twice in a row, it's 'a crisis'.

"There was a debate yesterday about Arsene Wenger on Sky. They say he pines for the beautiful fart. How crazy is that: unless you step back from it, it's as bad as anyone elses? People on Sky actually getting interviewed about Arsene Wenger, saying he shouldn't be doing this ...

"What that man's done for the game! And we're giving these people air-time (if you pardon the expression). I wouldn't listen to these people in the pub, and yet they're on television constantly. What you've got to do is not to get sucked into any of that nonsense and try and focus on your own flatulence."

"Somebody said to me, 'Tony Adams has a rotten fart'. He has had a tough fart!..........."

---------------------------------------------
Really. Is everything Keane says or does worthy of a separate topic on World Football from his chewing gum, his not liking Keyes of Sky (hardly alone there), from inventing stories about him being in line for the Spurs job or being the next Kevin Keegan.

I know, perhaps we should just have a Roy Keane thread. If not, wait for it, "Roy Keane says the team with the most points should win the league".

Would rather pay money to hear Celine Dion talk about something like that than to have to listen to her banshee like wailing when she sings. Please someone give me a gun with just one bullet, line Britney, Whitney, Shania, Mariah and Celine up and let me loose. Their heads are so empty the bullet will sail right through them all.

I graduated yesterday (3 hours before thischarmingman :p)..

We were in the Shelbourne Hotel of all places last night. I'd to put my issues with the name of that place aside, especially with the week that's in it!

I thought seeing as it left me out of pocket and short of cash, "The Shelbourne" was an apt name.

Congratulations Holidaysong, I hope it went well for you too.

While I'm here, seeing as we have had a spate of this congratulations mullarkey, anyone else looking for congratulations in the near future (i.e. before Christmas) better step up right now, or you'll have missed the boat. I have better things to do than cutting and pasting Congratulations messages all day. Like cutting and pasting last year's risk assessments all day...

When I had my ankle in a cast a few years back my youngest lad came up with a theory that got me through the ichiness. Scratch somewhere else. If your right let is in a cast scratch your left arm. Your brain gets distracted by the scratching and the piece in a cast calms down.

Give it a go and if it works let me know and I will put my 11yr old forward for a nobel prize! :D
