Had to leave the mobile phone in to get the battery fixed today so no mobile for a week. It's actually kind of weird not having one...
I had to drop my phone in to get fixed the other day too and got a replacment phone on loan from them. Most basic nokia, (think its the one you have pauro) and I hate it. Cant wait for my phone to come back.
Anyone drop a hat yesterday? Only reason i ask is because the taxi drivers had another protest today.
I f*cking hate taxi drivers
Yep. Their sense of entitlement seems to know no bounds.

The one good thing about a cheap phone. I threw it against the wall after an argument with the girlfriend. And it's still in one piece.

I was looking to see if I could find a nice picture of somebody throwing their mobile phone at their girlfriend, but instead I found this...

Afraid so. I'm not going to go into details, it was fine for a while but I'm treading on eggshells these days. I'm going to see it out for a bit and if it doesnt get better, well....

I cant take that risk since they charged me €35 for the loan of it and want that money back when I return the phone
Damn you DeLorean!

As a victim of domestic violence I find that appalling.

One of the problems you clearly have here, Pauro, is you are far too close to the situation - you haven't been left any headspace to think about it. The rest of us, who have no idea of the situation at all, clearly know best. Get your life back, get Dunny to deal with her...
EDIT: ON a few moments further thought, and memory of previous posts made about the same girl, you really are better off away. Conservatively speaking, by the sound of things one of you is a bit of a nut job, to some degree. If it is her, you'll be well rid of her. If it's you... well, you wouldn't want to go out with someone who'd just as happily go out with a nut job, would you?

Aww, thanks! I'll ignore the fact that the grammar in the title isn't perfect, and that the thread concept was stolen, if everyone else will :D
As for what's on my mind right now.. 'quick, quick, find something to keep me distracted/occupied while I'm too tired to study. I don't want to have to think about reality (searches youtube for more old apres match skits)' :D

Particularly if you've had a few cans.

Moral dilemma alert: Been clearing out boxes of stuff from garage etc and have found some stuff belonging to my ex husband, despite me telling him to take all his stuff over 10 years ago! So if he hasnt looked for it in 10 years do I now own it? Or Should I do the decent thing and give him it back. It includes a pair of antique binoculars, some vinyl, tickets and programmes from Ireland games int he 80's, lyrics from his band and the sealed envelope of his bands recordings and lyrics that were mailed to him for copywritting.
I feel guilty about even contemplating keeping or selling on his stuff but at the same time he hasnt paid maintenance for his sons in almost 2 months now, has contact with them only once a month when he takes them for 2 days and was an all round nasty piece of work when we were together.
Oh and Lionel, I found a press release from Edel which was sent to me with a copy of The Hitchers "Its all fun and games...." many moons ago! Couldnt believe it considering was ringing your missus today about the pixies tickets! Coinkydink!

Do the right thing and give them back. You seem to have a high pressured job and life so you don't want an extra weight on your conscience, no matter how small it could be. :)

Aw but what if I could sell some of it and use the proceeds to make the kids he neglects lives better. Or keep them and pass them on to them someday so at least they get something other than how not to be a dad from him.

RE the moral dilemma. I think you should talk to someone who knows the law but won't charge you for their informal advice. My own thought is that you should contact him, tell him the situation (loads of valuable stuff, no child support for two months), and tell him that he as two choices here - pay up what is due and undertake to continue to do so, or realise that the proceeds of the sale of his stuff (obviously only sell that which you don't want to keep for the kids) will be used to legally extract the cash.
This would all be dependent on the laws of the land on the matter of paying up (which I believe have improved), and his means to pay up.

I am already persuing things through the courts and hope to have a resolution next Monday so will hold off until then to decide what to do. Thanks Mr Bluebeard.
On a totally separate note, I am meeting the Canadian Ambassador today!

Seems the Beatles were wrong....you can buy love! Well if the complete and utter love and adoration in my sons eyes when I gave him tickets to Greenday for his birthday this morning was anything to go by! Shaking and tears in his eyes while telling me how much he loves me and how am the best mum in the world was unreal.
So if any of you have connections with MCD, the O2 or Greenday and want to make my son's life even better and can help me get him to meet them please please help!

I know. Its just Billie Joe is his idol and mentor. He is learning to play guitar and bass so that he can be like him someday. I am an "all about the memories" mum. I would rather spend €120 on the tickets to Green Day and give him the best day ever than buy him computer games etc.
I'm gonna take the day off work and give him the day off school and we are going to try and stake out their hotel and the O2 for the day in the hope that he gets to meet them and if not at least we will have had a fun day trying!
