Bought a plastic cover + car cradle for my work phone(old blackberry) from fleabay. Thing that came was for a snazzy Iphone. Sent off an email to the seller, heard nothing back so left a neg feedback comment and forgot about it. Woke up this morning to a big parcel. Seller apologised for the mixup, offered to issue a full refund and loads of 'blackberry accessories'(actually more Iphone stuff) as a goodwill offer if I rescind the neg feedback. I've now got about 20 things for a phone that I don't have.:(

I've got the biggest crush in the world on someone and whenever I see her I can't say a thing other than "hey" (while presumably looking quite creepy in a tall, dark and serial killer sort of way). The palpitations and dry-mouth don't help.
In other, less important, news. I may have broken a bone in my foot. As someone who runs around for a living, that is not good news.
Also, congratulations passinginterest!
That made me proper laugh on the DART. huzzah.
Crushes can suck.
Congrats PI.
Congrats Passinginterest!
If you're not already great mates with someone in a half decent band, one good thing is you'll have plenty of time to do it in. If you can swing a florist as well you'll have it cracked! :)

Yeah... Future is the key word I'd say on QT tonight!
Congrats passinginterest

Finally getting my internet sorted after 5 months of waiting tomorrow. On a sh*t note though, my dog of 15 years passed on Monday which was horrible. Awful day, never easy losing the family pet.

Yeah very sorry to hear it, my dog is 14 and we got her when I was 7 and she was like six weeks old. She's very much a part of the family (probably the most important) so I know it can't be easy for you. Sometimes I put an Ireland shirt on her during matches for luck.

A very similar situation for me. I was only 7 or 8 when the dog was got as a pup so she was there for a good part of my life.
She was sick for a while though and passed peacefully in her bed beside the TV as myself and the girlfriend ate breakfast. Tough to watch your own dog die, but she knew what she was doing. Had a good walk around the garden before coming back into the house to pass on.
Strangest thing of the whole lot though, woke with a sick feeling in my stomach that morning, let the dog out, she went for a walk about, made some grub, let the dog back in, stuck on the Doors while eating, dog went to lay in her bed, 'The End' by the Doors came on...seems as though she listened to the song and passed. It was very surreal and strange. But I believe she knew.

If there's a big TV debate with all the presidential candidates in the next few weeks then part of it should include each of them eating a coffee cream slice. Most dignified eater for the Áras!

The lack of dignity is not an issue for myself. I don't have any, but its just an observation.

Indeed - Bulgarian dwarf juggler is quite a sought after job.
Bulgarian dwarf tosser, however, is a different role entirely. According to FAS, its a much more "hands on" role.

Football fans are pretty much the same the world around. Puns are weirder among people who speak English as a second language though.

That post reads like the opening paragraph to a psychological thriller. I think we could really expand on that one.
Prospective flat mate, that's rejected and slowly torments the land lord sort of thing.

not a lot more to it.
There were two rooms available for rent in the house, a double and single. This guy came to see the double a few weeks ago, but I didn't get a good impression off him. Was really arrogant, said something like "yeah, I can see myself living here" before he had made it past the hall, just didn't strike me as someone I'd get along with.
Ended up giving the double to a Chinese guy, Sean, and his girlfriend, and getting on really well with them. Anyway, this morning, Sean knocks on my door that there's someone at the front door to see me, and just kept saying that he wanted to see me. Now, I'm only in the house a few weeks myself, not many people know where it is, so I'd no idea who it was.
Come down the stairs and it's the same guy I didn't give the double room to, says he wants to move in tomorrow to the single room, and he has the deposit, first months rent and references.
Told him that there have been a few people come to see the room and a girl due to see it tonight, and I'll have to see her before making a decision, but I'll let him know either way.
Sean was making a cup of tea in the kitchen, I told him who the guy was and why he had called, and that I'd prefer to see the room empty than give it to him after that. Went back to my room, turned my phone on, and there's a text from him at 4:50am that he's going to call at 8 to see the room!
Relayed the morning's events to the landlady and she said to stay well clear, sounds like a headcase.
If I had to guess, he's not been given any of the other rooms he's seen and needs a place immediately
