I'm not a regular gambler by any stretch, but assuming Scotland hold on against Liechtenstein and NZ beat Argentina tomorrow, this pains me quite something.

On the drink with 10 mons fans ranging from mid forties to mid twenties and we end up at ac/dc tribute band. Fun will ensue. Slightly uncomfortable though coz song they just sang sounded like she got a dick or something.

Self-imposed exile, Bonnie, I’m afraid. Thanks for asking...

My PhD is due in just over a fortnight, and though I check here religiously every day, I haven’t the time for posting. Back at work after a lengthy career break as well, and the two are eating up every spare minute. Down to proofreading and footnotes now – assuming final feedback from my supervisor is OK - so normal service will resume shortly. I’ll be back for the presidential/referenda post-mortems...

And damn you, Dunny, for spoiling my perfect disguise. I feel more outed than Dana/Gallagher/Norris now... I worked hard on that image!!!

First they came for the Bankers, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Banker.

Then they came for the Media Magnates, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Media Magnate.

Then they came for the Politicians, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Politician.

Then everything was actually pretty cool.

Not as manky as her records in finals. Though that has time to change.. kind of like with Murray who's looks are also rarely complimented, though I think he's quite a good looking chap.

It's all flaky, yet greasy at the same time, like month old taytos.

Stevo, dead right! No such thing as a supersexy tennis player, though you know, some of the guys are alright, if you're into that. Andy's bro is a nice looking lad, and funny.

Magicme, look, if Vesnina falls short again, it's okay, she's young, she can still win something. :-) Relax!

Huh. The rain radar yesterday seemed to show it all sweeping steadily north-east. Were those clouds spent before they left the Dublin area? We got whacked here in Kildare too.

Don't talk to your current about your ex.

In a great relationship you share everything.. but there are some things that you keep to yourself. Don't ask questions about why things are that way neither, capisce?

I don't know why I phrased that last sentence in the style of a stereotypical italian-american mobster. I'm sure you're girfriend wouldn't clip your balls if you asked her about it.. in fact, she probably wouldn't go near your balls for a very long time.

Also, I notice you say current. Does this mean you expect her to be an ex, at a time when you're with a future? (I'm not really expecting an answer, I'm just trying to mindfluff you)

I got flummoxed by a question that she wanted an answer that I didn't want to answer. I played it safe and answered anyway and did not expect the reaction.

@Stevo, yes.

@Eminence, Congrats. Welcome back.
