It was on Shelbourne Road, about a minute's walk from Lansdowne Road. The chimney is still there, in behind a fancy new office building. The laundry predated the Nazi party, needless to say.
I actually walked by the chimney yesterday on the way to the pub from the match; random coincidence.
I love the way that, to get away from the Nazi connotations of the swastika, the company renamed itself "Swastika Laundry (1912) Limited", with the 1912 to show they predated the Nazis. Surely "Smith's Laundry" would have been better?!

It's a joke. Mine was due in April got the car serviced and ready then got a date of 23rd of June. So anyone with an NCT coming due ring up to book it in at least 2-3 months in advance.

Just be aware as well that if you have to wait over 4 weeks, they have to test it for free.

you'd think so alright but the original meaning of the swastika, which dates back to the egyptians in 1000BC, was "whiter than white".... before it was hijacked by the Nazis...

SATC review, courtest of The Stranger:
http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/burkas-and-birkins/Content?oid=4132715
At sexism's funeral (which takes place in a mysterious, incense-shrouded chamber of international sisterhood), the women of Abu Dhabi remove their black robes and veils to reveal—this is not a joke—the same hideous, disposable, criminally expensive shreds of cloth and feathers that hang from Carrie et al.'s emaciated goblin shoulders. Muslim women: Under those craaaaaaay-zy robes, they're just as vapid and obsessed with physical beauty and meaningless material concerns as us! Feminism! **** yeah!

Rather surreal day at the Flatlake Festival in Clones. Alexi Sayle in a barn, Poetry on horseback, Lilly Allen singing He Drinks Tequilla with Crystal Swing, The Flaws telling everyone to sit down and chill. Beautiful sunny day, gorgeous countryside and art, music and fun. Perfection in a festival.

Smart-ass.
I'm planning on doing about 20 hours of train journeying over the next 48 hours and then settling down in one of Almaty's FOUR Irish pubs (with imported Guinness as standard) to watch the first few days of World Cuppage. Can't wait.
