A work colleague and I made an unbelievably awesome 6ft snowman this morning. Unfortunately it's gotten warmer, so he's about 5ft now. If he stays standing for another hour, he might just last the night.
His name is Bob.

Since discovering there is a Saint Fechin, my youngest has decided that Fechin is going to be his confirmation name. Jacob Marley Fechin McPartland. Has a ring to it alright!

Got about two hours sleep last night.
I'm currently doing anything to avoid work and the taxing of my currently half-dead brain.
I've run out of threads to read on a variety of forums.
Help!

Two small kids awake most of the night, both got the swine flu jab on Friday. It's knocked a good bit out of them both, building snowmen yesterday in sub-zero temperatures probably didn't help matters either.

Bloody hell, somehow during a robbery in Scotshouse, Co. Monaghan last night, the Eircom fiber optic lines got cut and we are sans internet in the office. Bless my slow vodafone mobile broadband for giving me some access to the outside world!

Have a black toe nail, how long before it falls off?
Magicme
13/01/2010, 11:10 AM
could be days could be months. I had one like that. Keep a plaster on it and when changing plaster make sure to hold the nail down so you dont rip it off with the plaster. Keep the nail as long as you can to allow the new nail to grow underneath.

Running water returns to the house after 5 days. Hallellujah!!
Danger here though - pressure very low - so I've a feeling this could be just a grace period before its gone again.
That said, news reports from Haiti kind of put things into perspective. Apocalyptic stuff - God help them.

Had training last night, got home, no water for shower. Used what water was left in the kittle for a knackers shower. Woke this morn, no water again. Had to shower in work. We really do take things for granted:(
