But he did suffer an almost Faustian decent into madness, poor chap, so bit of karma there. And he was stitched up the second time!

Twitter could have been made for match updates.
Handy for acts announcing albums/tour dates and the like as well.
For everything else it should be bludgeoned repeatedly. Like so much of the interweb it's entirely based on people's deluded belief that the whole world is simply dying to know what they think about everything.

Twitter was very useful for things like breaking news. Also found it very handy for Tour De France live feeds. But for everything else, totally agree. And a lot of spammers on it too.

Why is my Halifax account so slow to update the balance? If I take out 20e on Monday, that doesn't register on the account until 2 or 3 days later. My old BOI account always registered transactions that took place on a weekday on that day.
It's annoying, coz you think you have more money available than you actually do.

Yeah, I find that too. You have to calculate how much you've taken out since the last updated withdrawal.

I found this a problem when I switched first as well. When you click into your actual current a/c though you can see your available balance in the top right corner, this is how much money you actually have in your a/c plus whatever o/d they have given you (in my case €50). This is an up-to-date balance.

PS: Halifax is fantastic, fcuk ye BOI ye robbing starved ba$tards

It's true, when I was in Paris in June you'd see school groups out at some of the tourist attractions and when it was lunch time you'd see them all all sit down and eat their baguettes and fruit, instead of the chips and 'sausages' you'd no doubt see kids chomping down here. It's just ingrained in you from a young age to eat healthily.
