this shows what it was like for the eufa game, i presume it'll be the same
http://img170.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=48163_stand1_122_549lo.jpg
seats are being rented so they were sent back
3 big home games left
bohs & rovers bring the biggest away follwoing to richmond and drogs will probably win the league then so it's defo a sensible move.
Bohs fans are being put in it for fridays game so i presume it'll be for away fans from now on. I'd prefer if our singers/sei were in it rather than away fans but what can you do....
loads of promotion being done for the last 3 home games, inc a TV ad on setanta (see http://www.stpatsfc.com/news.php?id=1833 for it)
Thanks lads.
Looks well.Only drawback I see is its lack of a roof.It always loses the atmosphere when there is no roof plus if its ****ing like today it will not be a pleasant experience!!
Also have to question charging €20 for an open aired stand behind a goal.A little steep in my eyes!

think of it as pay back for putting us on the connaught st.... ;)

Touche!!
But in fairness we dont charge you €20 for the pleasure;)
but you get a "free" programme for your 20quid in richmond,....;)
but you get a "free" programme for your 20quid in richmond,....;)
Expensive programme.Plus you have a better view in the Connaught Street side of the ground than you would have behind the goal in Richmond;)
We could do this all day!!

A total scam, all usual BS aside your programme is one of the worst in the league IMO, especially since they stopped Docs column ;)

To clarify, the new seats going into Richmond this week are owned by the club and are permanent. The previous set were rented as the ground had to have 3,000 seats to play the UEFA Cup match and the supplier couldn't get the permanent ones in on time.
The delay in getting the permanent seats was due to the new owners deciding to look at cheaper alternatives (I kid you not) before eventually realising what the previous owners had already found out, that the cheaper versions are classed as temporary seats by UEFA and can't be used for UEFA games.
The new seats are supposed to be red, by the way.

I see a new Grab a Granny (http://www.stpatsfc.com/news.php?id=1828) promotion. Possibly the funniest eL promotion ever! :D

As a programme geek, ours is far from one of the worst. Not worth the extra money but then either is Rover's (excellent) €4 programme

Not the point. At Rovers, or anywhere else, you can choose to buy the programme. Pats are not offering that choice, so don't try and sell it as €15 for your ticket, and €5 for your programme - it's a total scam, and nothing else.
Besides, football programmes by their nature tend to be directed at the home support in terms of their content. I always buy the programme at home, but am never bother away, regardless of the quality or price.

I've consistently said our tickets are over priced. My point was related to DvB saying our programme was one of the worst. I buy them everywhere and there are load worse than ours. I'd rate yours as the best (even if I think its overpiced)
I realise in a thread about grounds it was probably out of place, but I only meant it as a throw away kind of thing

Thats your opinion and of course your entitled to it, personally i find the Pats one dreadful value for money, or to be accurate i did, I actually havent seen one from this season being honest, but unless its improved considerably i genuinely found as an away fan it was poor!
Either way your ticket/programme arrangement is a scam, end of!
On the subject of our programme, i agree, i also think ours is overpriced at €4!

 LOL. Ours has improved a fair bit over previous years (when yeeah ours was rubbish)
Take your point on home v away fans but thats the case with all programmes

Either way your ticket/programme arrangement is a scam, end of!Pats' is better this year (albeit based on flicking through other people's programmes in previous years as I never bought it) but the 'free' programme set-up is indeed a scam.

Brilliant! Wonder what Stephen Ireland would think.
Pats programme far from the worst. But dont like the scam they are operating but in this league you are allowed to do what you like re attendace prices.

Pat's allocated the larger part of the Camac to Bohs and Rovers in our last encounters if you remember. So didnt the your fans in the terrace pay €15 for their ticket together with a free programme (irregardless of it's quality).
Although in our next matches you'll probably be in the stand paying the full whack of €20.

Its not a scam. Its €15 for a terrace ticket, and €20 for the stand. Too expenive but nobody thinks they're fooling anybody with the programme lark.

Totally incoherent post but I think the gist of what you are saying is that you got a free programme with a terrace ticket on our last visit to Inchicore which we didnt.
As many have said here already it is toatlly overpriced to pay €20 to sit uncovered in a stand behind a goal at an EL match no matter where it is and Pats board have to realise this!!

Dont know what this has to do with the current debate but I will humour you anyway.God only know how much they will charge as it is over 3 years before the stadium will become a reality.
Obviously construction hasnt started yet as the Irish planning process isnt exactly efficent! But a lot of work is going on behind the scenes.

Showing your ignorance on the Dalymount deal there as anyone who is in the know will tell you that not one inch of Dalymount will be touched until we move into our new stadium and that is down in black and white in the contract between Bohemian FC and the developer.
Some of us do learn from others mistakes so there is no fear we will ever need to go near Richmond for our home games my friend!

Sorry you didnt get your programme btid1 not that you would have wanted it anyway.
Doesnt change the fact that alot of Bohs fans got their €15 terrace ticket.

Exactly €15 to stand......should I be thankful for that?

Very impressive. Probably best stadium in the league if those plans come to pass. Do DCFC have to pay for the construction costs? Also does this mean that the club now owns the stadium as plans are in place?

If we secure the funding within 6 months we gain ownership of the ground. The greyhounds have to get £1million aswell by the same time to have a dog track in the stadium.

Looks super apart from the poles supporting the roof of the stands which I presume won't feature in the real thing. How many private boxes are envisaged.
Does the Irish Greyhound Board have any say in the doggie operation. Would be a big addition given the success of Shelbourne Park when it was redeveloped. Or woud a greyhound track impact on the capacity and design.

Please note, this is not the design of the finalised Brandywell.
This virtual tour is based on the concept of a new stadium, and seeks to show the "type" of stadium that the group are planning.
The above reminds me of when Ned Flanders told Rod and Todd they were going to have an Imagination Christmas.

:D
Our preferred contractor are the people who built the Gloucester RFC ground. The virtual tour shown is merely a customisation of that stadium, as the firm are still at work on the "actual fly through" for the new Brandywell.
However BP were meeting area residents today, so they wanted to illustrate the facilities a new stadium can offer.

But if they do that then what are Cork City going to call their 28,000 all seater, "cost-effective" superdrome??

No its the CCFc Astrodome.
CCFC will then stand for Coca Cola Football in Cork

Since the eLOI is too small to make us financially viable we will be moving to the European Super Drinks League along with founding members Red Bull Salzburg.

The RDS .... how many sides are covered (or will be covered for the final?)

1 - the old stand, opposite the camera. AFAIK the other 3 sides are large uncovered temporary seating 'stands'. Bring a hat ;)

Wexford Youths refused planning permission for the next phase of development. Haven't heard the full story yet. Apparently some issues with objections to the floodlights too. A big campaign is under way to have the decision overturned.

Ambitous stuff.
A suggestion would be to put a few seats on the terrace that is made into the side of the coaching centre.

Looks great. Not too pie in the sky either either as planning has been applied for and feasibility study carried out.
Good luck to Dundalk.
