Despite winning the third division in another private league I am in, I didn't get promoted :eek:its looks like no did or got relegated for that matter in the other divisions as well when he was starting the new season:(
The admins offering to resign over the whole thing and asking one of the leagu assistants to take over:D

Did the amount of teams in each division change?

Anyway new season starting tonight. Forest's form is way down so I am confident of picking up the three points in my first game back in the top flight.

Going to be very interesting this season in the Premier- very difficult to pick three teams who will go down. Alberts for the league is the only obvious prediction. Pants I think will come next, after that very hard to call.

First Division will more interesting than recent years as we finally have a full quota of active teams. Hard to look beyond Loftys for top spot. Very difficult to call once again after that- there's about 5/6 teams who could potentially challenge for a top 3 place. I think Fags might get in there but hard to know after that.

I'd have thought that UCD, Landenstown and Pants will be the strongest challengers for the title this season, though I suspect that Drunk Babysitters have the best manager of the lot. The Alberts are all old men now, and it will be a devil of a job to retain the title. Provos will be dangerous as always, of course. Relegation could be a very tight battle - very hard to see who cold end up there.

Fags to win the first and get promoted alongside Holidaysong and Lofty's

I can't help get the feeling we might be saying hello to Division 1 soon. 3 away games to start and me off on holiday for two weeks from next week..

Think UCD have a massive chance of winning the premier. Bluebeard - you should be there or there abouts also.
We'll be happy just to stay up for a couple of seasons. Team form ok, but individual form is **** starting the season so fingers crossed. Got a steal of a 6 rated 24yr old striker today for about 1200000 SP good alrounder too.
Wouldn mind a few more like that.

First division, bar Loftys, looks like a complete lottery. Would like to see one of the newer managers get promoted tho, Holidaysong or dundalk.

Huge pressure win when it mattered. Nice to see the Xpert11 covered in green and white Hoops like old times and some great ratings too. :)

Holidaysong has the most impressive result in Div 1

I'd take a draw if offerd now, against Provos, some of their match ratings in the two matches so far have been through the roof.

Two 7 rated players with form of 15 put in 6 rated matches - go figure.

If Provos keep their form up, I think we could see the end of Alberts title streak.

That's what I like to hear with you the opposition on Saturday.

FOUR, FOUR, FOUR, FOUR!

Worryingly, given our shoddy defence, you'll probably pick up a goal or two on Saturday - we're leaking them in everywhere at the mo.

Three still unbeaten. Provos showing good form...

Just looked at your squad....its fackin terrible  A 7 rated 35 year old, a 6 rated 33 y.o, 4 rated 23 yo, and a 4 rated 21 yo, jaysus. Get rid of the sh!te and get in some half decent players with good SQ's. All you have is a couple of FreeKick experts, and Long Range shooters.

Landenstown Forest - Pants AFC 1 - 3
Provisional SRFC - Drunk Babysitters 1 - 4
Wexford Boys - Flynny Alberts 0 - 2
Sligo Starlets - Sligo Rovers F.C. 1 - 2
UCD AFC - Burton Albion FC 7 - 1

Jaysus, Provos team suffers a form collapse of biblical proportions?

UCD, Carlsson 4 assists, Mushi 4 goals. Best performance by an 18yo 5 rated forward I've ever seen.

For us, Borgstrands scoring spree continues, 12 in 13 and he hasn't even got his "heart" skill square yet.

The only SQs worth getting are free kicks (for free kicks) obviously and cool as ice for penalties. Have them as your better players and you're sorted. SQs are way overpriced, may as well spend the same money on a player with a higher skillbar.

It seems you have loads?

Anyway all you have to do is get your players form to 15+ and you should be sorted.

UCD AFC - Burton Albion FC 7 - 1

Bout time my season started. Savage performances last two games- just need to keep it up over a whole season for a change. 2nd still the target.

4 assists from Redondo last game, this time four from Carlsson. Wonder whose turn it will be next...

Disagree. Intelligent and allrounders are great too...eg. Geladaris' ability to get high ratings in midfield, and get assists when put there. In one of my other sides, I had a midfield freekick expert out injured and had my defender with a "hard shot" SQ take the frees....he's so good that the freekick "expert" no longer takes the frees. Also the "greedy" SQ is handy, one of the reasons why Pearcy is one of the best defenders in the league. Theres a reason why Alberts play "through plays" coz Callenmark is quick.

Solund (Smart, Hard Shot SQ's), Janson (AllRound, Aggressive, Quick SQ's) and Borgstrand (Header, Goal Instinct SQ's), the three of them cost me a combined total of 1.3 million - hardly overpriced, given that they'll likely all be 6 rated 21 yo's at seasons end, Solund may even make it to 7 if I can keep his form where its at.

Kinda happy with our draw...****ed off that Camoranesi went off so early to be replaced by Janson, dulled the threat from midfield and dragged down its ratings. :( . Endre Ward had a good match - just might have saved him from the transfer list.

Burton up next, hopefully take something there as they've not started great and then that should put some space between myself and relegation(assuming Provo's and UCD can do the business against the other relegation candidates).

Given the poor performances of his forwards lately I decided to play a few youngsters in defence, which I wouldn't usually do away from home.

Yep, away for the last two weeks returned today (wish granted, oh Bluebearded one :D). Our form and ratings were good and now it's in a mess..

Though flight out on the 13th, so

(a) Burton Albion 0-2
(a) Pants AFC 1-2
(h) Landenstown Forest 2-1
(h) Drunk Babysitters 1-4
(a) Flynny Alberts 5-0

Not a bad pick up of 9 points from that lot, especially at the Pantywell. By the DB game, the injuries to Boyle, Davidsson and Cobh all not being returned to the side took its toll.

Barra Valentia accidentally left a petrol station without paying yesterday, and was 5 miles away before he realised. Panicking, he returned to see if he could sort it out. Fortunately, he got there before the police arrived and paid for his fuel. As it was clearly an honest mistake, no action was taken, and Barra Valentia continued on his journey much relieved.

90th minute equaliser and 96th minute winner in a game that we should've had won. Slight title challenge was staring down the barrel..much weaker side with Debbi and Killaloe and fourth different striker partnership in four games...Phew!:o

You held us to 1 for 67 minutes though - I was beginning to think that you'd snatch the late equaliser this time.

Three major blows for the next game - Shannon injured, Kilorglin and Konda suspended - at least Konda's suspension coincides with injury, so there is still someone smiling on the Alberts. Must win game for both us and the Provos.
