Maybe lower the selling price and they might be bought. They won't automatically be released after the deadline is up, you'll have to sack them. You can still sack them now if you wanted.
Thanks. Will see how it goes, the deadline is tomorrow so no point sacking them. Need to strengthen the midfield with a couple of six or seven skill players. Maybe add one up front and at the back too. Think I have a decent shot at promotion anyway.

Tanked 3-0 at home, this time by Alberts. Having a terrible time trying get players back to decent form.
Could be a long season
Depends on how much time you want to put into the game. You get a load more stats to work through and analyse if you want. Also in private leagues you get to pick up players from other VIPs.
Nice game today. Sparing Valentia and getting to blood Liljedahl and very slowly getting the form up, whilst still entertaining. Boyle and Cobh with their best ever performances too, Boyle in particular running riot.
Pants 0-3 Flynny Alberts

Desparately need a forward. Any chance of a loan deal with Davidsson there dfx :D
I have to bare in mind though that I only WON 1 DREW 1 LOST 3 in 5 friendlies before the start of last season.....I have to take consolation where I can. But that Alberts line-up is fookin scary.

Same here, only have three players over 10 at the moment. Training reports tomorrow, hopefully don't get anyone overtrained.
But that Alberts line-up is fookin scary.
Wasn't even full strength!
So two 10 team leagues with 2 games a week ok with everyone? I'll get the season created in the next couple of days. Maybe allow for two more friendlies and then start the season. Everyone ok with all that?
Could we get some sort of a vote going? At the moment:
Yes- 2 (Sligoman, dfx)
No- 1 (DmanDmythDledge)
Also any chance of waiting a further week so players' form can re-adjust to its normal level after the change report?

Raptors 2 prong plan for the Medium to Large Club:
Hope to build a squad (already signed some real class 10+ skill rated players) good enough not only to get promoted but to hold our own at the right end of the primera league next year. comparing my players to the other squad's in the division and have to say I'm confident if I can continue my success in the transfer market on to the pitch I'll be half way there. chomping at the bit to get going now

Whats the average age of your squad? Yer stockin up on players well into their 30's - gonna be a nightmare for you to try and keep their form levels up.

Might be when you get promoted, they all get a year older, and some of them are retiring, dropping form with age and missing training to collect their pensions.

Keeper for sale- 7 skilled, 33yo. Asking price is 2million.
Striker for sale- 4 skilled, 20yo with shooting power. Asking price 422,900.
Average age is 31.09 is that a bad thing ???
The ideal 100% performance from any given 11 is when their average age = 26. For every year below or above that, you lose 5 or 10% of the team's performance. So 31 would be a bad thing. :D
It's a good thing because it stops teams buying in very high skilled pensioners cheaply and more importantly stops people buying a team of 16 year olds and waiting for them to come good.
That happened to me when I started out. I always evaluate now. My recent signing was down as a skill 8 when I evaluated he was actually a nine and had extra special qualities as well. So it works both ways
That only happens in the private leagues, because generally the Xpert League transfers will let you see the player's profile, but still better to evaluate because of hidden qualities.
Beat Burton Albion tonight, Cobh this time taking up still absent Valentia's duties:ball:

No, my star man was left out as where a few defenders. All the players playing are out of form. Going to start selling a few thirty somethings. I'll be ok, hopefully!!!!

Yes.
Almost.
A matter of time though. I'd put my money on it being the MORs during the week.
A hattrick for my third best striker tonight was good news. Looking forward to having the long sought new keeper in for the next game.

I noticed the same, except I get to play against the Goalie Retirement XI the match before I face your boys.
And surely, you mean A£b€rt$:D:D
We had lofty in the round robin last year too..pesky fixture list. Interesting to see if the three promoted sides are as good as the three relegated ones. Division 1 outside of the Fags is difficult to call.

Good pre-season for me overall:
Sligo Rovers F.C. 1-1 Workington AFC,
Sligo Rovers F.C. 3-1 Medium to Large Club,
Sligo Rovers F.C. 3-1 Loftys Lazy 11,
followed by tonight's result of Sligo Rovers F.C.[RESERVE TEAM:p] 2-0 Landenstown Forest.
Looking forward to new season:)

Four matches, four wins, thirteen for, four against, rounding off with a good tough game and win against the MLC.
My experience of this kind of pre-competition form is pretty damning: ƒ£¥nn¥ A£b€rt$' first win of the season to come in the second game against The Tree Huggers, and that only because of their away form...
Ah I'm not worried Sligoman not yet anyway have had a reasonable pre season up to now. Was hoping to have brought ina couple of decent players but was outbidded.
Anyone want to do up the odds for the coming season.
I fancy Flynny Alberts to win this season and the league will finish
Flynny Alberts
Provisional SRFC
Pants AFC
Loftys Lazy 11
UCD AFC
Landenstown Forest
Cobh Ramblers F.C
Burton Albion FC
Sligo Starlets
Looprevil FC
Can see a good relegation battle between the final five teams:o
and Div One:
Patsys Fags
Sligo Rovers F.C.
Medium to Large Club
Wexford Boys
Badger Gravy
Lost in Portugal
Workington AFC
Lee FC
Wexford Youths FC
The Winning Team
Bit hard to call but I think the two more estabhlished clubs will come back up but the next 4 will give it good go. Wexford Boys will want to make up for the final day dissappointment.

Don't see us finishing 3rd this time out. Actually think yourselves and UCD will finish above us. We have dire players up front, and I don't have the funds to do anything about it right now.

No offence intended, dp, but I think it's fair to say we got more out of a very dour game than yourselves, but I went asleep watching it...so will have to watch the footage of it instead:D
Liljedahl is a diva, so the more game time with as many different combinations the better and clean sheets even better. Liffey, Naujoks, Silverspjut and Valentia also getting their first and a good 90 minutes.
