Poll gave every 50-50 ball Liverpool's way.
On your penalty claim, It happened right in front of me. The ball rolled up his side. It would have been the second harshest penalty of the season so far if given. None of the Koppites I spoke to in Liverpool after the game moaned about this. Stop clutching at straws, stop moaning and take your beating like a man. Rafa got it wrong. Moyes got it right. AJ was better than Crouch and Fowler combined. Thats fact.

Let them have their day, sat was depressing but their fans really are pathetic little bitter blue _______. It just wasnt our day, we could have scored a hatful in truth. Shameful to hear the park end blues with their michael shields songs in the 2nd half. No surprise that there was no trouble after the game. Only seems be trouble when everton lose!!!

Wait until xmas, we will be top 3 and they will be mid table where they belong.

Sour grapes. Liverpool are the most over-rated team in the league. There'll be no title challenge thats for sure. Learn from Casso's embarrasment and stop making outrageous claims based on your biased red view of the world.

Well you better get your eyesight checked!!!
He clearly pulls arm towards ball, so clear penalty.

Please don't try and tell me that the haul down in box was'nt a penalty! as you'd have to be graham poll not to see it!! i would'nt call 24 attemps at goal getting it wrong!! Just one of those days!! Like the blue ****e have most weeks!!!

Penalty my @rse. I had a great view of that incident from where I was sitting and not one red I spoke to afterwards claimed it was a penalty. That speaks volumes.

No it doesn't, it was a penalty plain and simple and that is that. You have no argument here, to say it wasn't is just ridiculous.

I saw it in the flesh and later on TV it is not a penalty. Do you go to games regularly either here or in England? That type of ball to arm in the situation where the player is on the ground is rarely given. You don't sound like someone who goes to football. He slid in to get the ball, ball rolled up his side more or less into the armpit. Your clutching at straws.

Us Everton fans should not be getting excited at all !:o

We were **** really !!!! Liverpool only lost because they didn't take their chances and should have had several penos.
Pool's squad were tired after international games so anyway its a one off occasion ;)

So all in all we had a crap weekend and should count our blessings !!!!

It was a penalty, so before we get into a "shall we compare who has the most stubs" argument or anything, you can toddle off and get yourself a FIFA rulebook before wasting anymore of people's time posting tat.

it could have been given (seeing as it was poll) he did hand ball it ,but his hand was by his side , he was making a fair atempt to block the ball and he was looking the other way to protect his face , he did hand ball it but it was totally by acident (also called ball to hand in the rule book ) as the ball is crossed it hits his rib cage and then hits his arm , and looking at the veiw poll had it looked like it hit him in the side .

when fowler went down it was nt a peno, the one with yobo could have been a peno but if he had given that he would have had to have given all the penos for holding in the box .

as for the alonso cahill incedent alonso puts his arm across chaill's face and fouls him then cahill pins the little pussy to the ground .

its all ifs buts and maybe's should rise have been sent off for trying to take artetta out of the game , i think his injury saved him , how about when neville was kicked in the face .

derby day is for men it sums up liverpool by rafa's comment after the game " they where too physical they would nt let us play our normal game "

I go to way more football games in a year than you. Not all Everton games as you see by my Avatar I'm a Bohs fan. I go to all Bohs home games (except if I'm on holidays), all away games in the Dublin/Bray/Drogheda axis, and maybe one outside of that area. In the EL off seasonas many Everton games I can afford to go to and I try to take in a game wherever I'm on holiday.

11 Corners and 23 Fouls against!!! i rest my case!!

11 corners good play by everton defence to block 11 shots , then defend 11 set peices .

23 fouls that was poll he gave liverpool free's even when they where the ones fouling .

Yobbos trip on Fowler was a stonewall pen and that was before any goals were scored. Osman did a nice WWF move on Finnan for the first goal.
2nd goal was a mistake by Carragher both goals coming completely against the run of play.3rd goal a mistake by Reina.
I'm sure Everton fans are not fooling themselves, 3-0 flattered them beyond belief. Bad day at the office for Pool.

Great post. Pool got one they shouldn't have against Sheffield United, so even if Casso and Roadender were right and it was a peno, (which they weren't) these things even up. Every 50-50 descision went Liverpool's way, yet you whinge about a marginal call for a penalty that if it was given against you, you'd be up in arms (no pun intended).

Well if i could afford too!! i would be at every game, but the cost including hotels, flights and tickets came to about €5500 before drink money last season, but i do go to as many as i can. you mean when osman used his body to shield the ball as finnan clattered into the back of him ???

3rd goal ,shot was too hot to handle even after he got 2 hands to it it was still goal bound his only chance to stop it was to try and push it out but in true goal poacher fassion AJ was there to knock it in . No different from when gerrard hit the post ( shot keeper saves it falls to striker but he missed the target )

24 shots on goal, compared to 6 by the blue****e!! come on it was just a red off day and even then blue****e must admit that, another day it would have finished 3 - 6. 23 Fouls and 11 corners just goes to show how dominant the reds were.

24 shots on goal 4 on target shows they where just random long range efforts because evertons defence did so well thats what they where restricted to . where as everton 6 shots 4 on target show they waited stayed calm and took there chances rather than hitting no hoper shots from anywhere .

If Liverpool had 20 odd shots, they must be including Aurielo's and Alonso's that almost cleared the stadium. Most were from long range and few gave Howard any real trouble.

The fact that liverpool had only Gerrard and Sissoko who even approached having half decent games while any one of howard, yobo, lescott, carsely, neville or Johnson could have been given man of the match says it all.

A peno could have been given against Hibbert but it was never intentional, 50 50 at best. There is no doubt that we were a little lucky at times but equally there is no doubt that we were fully deserving of the win.

Hyypia and carragher will be having nightmares about AJ for months.

Instead of moaning about a foul before the 1st goal, if I was a liverpool fan (thank god I'm not), i'd be more concerned at the space that cahill had.

Unbeliveable start for us now, very winnable home game coming up and we need to keep picking up points while we are on form and everybody is fit.

Some great pictures of the game flying around, love the one of AJ celebrating the third goal and also the one of the banner about Gerrard.

Beggers can't be choosers.
And Taxi's?
The #500 express airport bus costs £2 (£2.80 for a Liverpool city zone day ticket) and only takes 25 minutes.
I usually get my flights for between 50 and 70 euro, though Saturday's flights cost €110.
Drink is cheap. Even when I stayed for the weekend back in February drink didn't cost all that much despite two sessions until 5AM (the magnet is a dive but they serve damn late!).

So lets tot it up:
Flights: €110
Match ticket: £35
Bus day ticket: £2.80
Programme: £3
Food and drink: £30
Watching Andy Johnson wipe the smug grins off the Koppite faces: PRICELESS!

You can go to liverpool for nothing as the blue suggests. On a side note you blues are lucky as you dont have to compete with every scumbag travel agent in Ireland for flights and match tickets are alot easier to come by for you guys as a result. They are major points of hassle for reds.

On sat my flights cost €70 ret, ticket was 35 stg, bus ticket was £2.80 for the day and £10 on food and drink. On home game days I always fly in and out of manc (same day), west ham cost me €75, bus to/from liverpool (£6 ret).

As for last sat, its over now, everton won on the day, thats the way the game goes. Evertonians enjoyed their day as they should do. Some say they were OTT drinking champagne etc but obviously beating lfc means that much to them. It really is David and Goliath stuff and reds need to remember that. Everton are a small club in the european context, they never have and never will achieve anything and are domestic minows. They use our visit to get extra revenue (ticket prices are jacked up). No doubt a new DVD will be released soon.

Btw, how many of you blues are going to the Wigan game on sat?

Here's how I saw the derby.

Hyypia denied blatent penalty when clearly held back.
Cahill's opener was a free out for obstruction/foul on Finnan.
Johnson's second was blatent free to Liverpool after Cahill wrestled Alonso to ground.
Another blatent penalty turned down when Yobo handled Kuyts cross. Doesn't matter hand to ball/ball to hand - it denied goalscoring opportunity.

Firstly Liverpool were awful. Dominated for periods, nothing new there, but failed to take clear cut chances - nothing new there either. Finishing just not good enough. Fowler doesn't look up to much and is all huff and puff. Had Kuyt started we'd have won the game. I'd like to see Kuyt - Bellamy up front and stop the messing with changes every week. Very poor at the back. Carragher looks unfit and unfocused. Hyypia badly exposed by pace, might be time to hand over to Agger. Don't fancy Aurelio as a defender at all and don't want to see him there again. Riise and Warnock are better options defensively. Xabi Alonso badly out of sorts as well. Wouldn't be too hard on Reina, just one of those days...

As for Everton, thought 3-0 flattered them. Took their chances well, but home town decisions, woeful refereeing and huge luck helped them no end. They'll do well this year, maybe top 6, but that's about it. Benitez needs to stop the tinkering and cop on a small bit. No need to be changing things so much, we're only in September. In Kuyt we have possibly one of the best signings of the summer, he should be starting.

Here's how I saw the derby.

[LIST]

As for Everton, thought 3-0 flattered them. Took their chances well, but home town decisions, woeful refereeing and huge luck helped them no end. .
This absolutely beggars belief. EVERY 50/50 descision went Liverpool's way.
The Cahil/Alonso "incident" was a six of one situation. Its not basketball you know. Your whinging is unbelievable. I agree the 3-0 flattered us but If I counted all the times the scoreline flattered your lot in the derby, well I'd be counting a long time.
Here's your rattle. Don't throw it out of the pram again or you're not getting it back.
:p

Here's how I saw the derby.

Hyypia denied blatent penalty when clearly held back.
Cahill's opener was a free out for obstruction/foul on Finnan.
Johnson's second was blatent free to Liverpool after Cahill wrestled Alonso to ground.
Another blatent penalty turned down when Yobo handled Kuyts cross. Doesn't matter hand to ball/ball to hand - it denied goalscoring opportunity.

In Kuyt we have possibly one of the best signings of the summer, he should be starting.

i agree that was a peno when yobo held back Hyypia thats the new rule and it should have been given . In the same way Everton should have been given a Peno when Hyypia held back yobo inside the box remember Poll had to call the 2 of them aside . so that evens out that one .

the first goal was fine carsley passes to osman everton are in possesion of the ball osman tries to turn and finnan clatters into the back of him , to say that tiny leon osman is able to obstruct a player is quite funny , but anyway you are aloud to shield the ball there was nothing wrong with that , obstruction only applies when you are in possesion of the ball Finna nor liverpool didnt have possesion .

cahill and alonso bumbed into each other there was nothing more to it than that .if you want to talk about fouls should we mention Hyypia cutting across AJ to block his run in the first half and trying it again on the lead up to the second goal or rise hacking down artetta as he broke away .

im sure you mean Hibbert not Yobo for the hand ball i know they look very similar :D . it was hand ball but when your hand is by your side the ball hits your ribcage then your arm there is very little you can do about it . its called "ball to hand " by most people. it did deny a goal scoring opportunity providing the ball which was now travelling away from the goal after hitting his body had rolled to a liverpool player and he was able to scoring from that tight angle beating a keeper and 2 defenders .

everton will do well this year top 6 is very possible , top 6 should be possible for liverpool aswell but they need to get rid of fowler and get Kuyt match fit as he looks dangerous . Bellamy was nt even in the squad what has he done not even 4 games into the season and he has allready got himself dropped for some mysterious reason ??

3 nil was flattering 2 nil was more realistic but thats football its the score at the end that counts not how or when you got them .
