Last night Liverpool are busy winning 2-1 in the Nou Camp

Everton meanwhile are losing 2-1 at home to Spurs

By idiots !! he had on the bench 2 defenders, a defensive midfielder ,a keeper and 1 18 year old striker he made 3 subs and the morons are moaning about him making defensive subs !!:eek:

In fairness Moyes is a negative cnt. His activity in the transfer market has been good but tactically he's not up to it. Bit like Paul Doolin.
On Liverpool, impressive result for the sh'te as much as I hate to say it. I only saw up until just after Barca scored as I had to be somewhere else and it looked then as if they could go on to trounce 'em. Obviously a big turnaround in the second half.

OH MY GOOD GOD !!! i just saw Gerrards Dive let none of ye ever ever ever mention a thing about other players ( AJ ,ronaldo ,drogba )diving ever again , What a f***ing cheat no two ways about it . the one v sheff utd at the start of the season was bad enough this time he dived on to the defenders arm while looking and shouting at the ref .:mad:

Its a sad day when you have to cheat to beat sheffield utd :p

In fairness, you should be able to tell what's a dive and what's not. Andy Johnson plays for Everton afterall....

at least he gets fouled then goes down , the one at the start of the season there was intent no contact but intent this one no one can argue it is anything but plain old cheating .

The defender manhandled him. Yes Gerrard suckered him into it and was looking for a penalty but the defender still grabbed a hold of him IN FRONT of the ref. Soft but still a penalty. Get over it.

the defenders arm's were around stevie stopping him making a run-obstruction.now in fairness stevie made sure the ref knew about it but the defender was stupid enough to do it

any other part of the pitch and its a free...no question. In the box and its a penalty...no question. Stevie drew the refs attention to the obstruction and the naive defender continued to foul..how s that cheating? Does Peter Stringer cheat when he calls for a penalty for infringing during ruck time???
Different sport same princible. Its called professionalism and is nowhere near the blatant dives of Drogba, Ronaldo etc

Simple fact is Gerrard cheated again against Sheffield Utd. FFS stop trying to justify it .

As he was fouled in the box, the Gerrard penalty incident was a stonewall penalty. Mind you, dfx doesn't think so, but then again, this is the only LFC poster who says Gerrard dived for the penalty to equalise in Istanbul..... :rolleyes:

Its a stonewall peno now !!!!!! there would be 40 peno's in a game if they where all given !!

your point would have been very good bar after that watford game Moyes came out and said that it WASNT A PENO and even added that if the ball had have hit his hand he reckoned it still shouldnt have been given as the defender made an honest attempt to block the ball .

also i think on that same day that everton won liverpool managed a draw with sheffield Utd how did they get the draw gerrard dived to win another "soft peno !!!!!!

spot the difference

i am going to ignore it because gerrard wasnt tripped ,punched or headbutted ye are really dragging the **** out of it now .If i wait untill tommorow the poor sheff utd player will be up on rape charges the way ye are going .

there was a tiny bit of pulling and dragging by both players the ref had a word then gerrard dived End of story , its supposed to be a mans game its no wonder his missus had to go looking else where :p

Anyway gerrard cheated that’s been established what im on about is the hypocrisy of Liverpool fans who keep going on about AJ Ronaldo and Drogba .

anto they should be given everytime.gary neville aginst spurs is one that got away that springs to mind.nine times out of ten if the attacker done it the defender gets the free,it should be the same both ways.i think your just letting your true bitter side come out in you

Id say something if he was going for the ball the defender pulled him and he missed the chance but he was nt even looking at the ball he was looking back at the ref screaming like a big girl .

Regardless of how it looked, it is still a stonewall penalty, which was given. Unlike most timid refs, this one had the bls to give it.

Would there be 40 pen's in every match? No chance. As soon as the refs start awarding them, it'll stop.

If you answer no to either you either don't know the rules of the game or you are an Everton fan who's letting his hatred of Liverpool cloud his judgment. I suspect it's the latter.

If you answer yes to any of them then it was a penalty.

If you follow the letter of the law then you could give it but you would have to give every holding incident which would have ment 40 penos.

If it was obstruction as some of ye are claiming then it should have been an indirect free kick, no ?

so your saying as long as the defender touches you its ok to dive on the ground looking for a peno ?? having an arm blocking your run would not cause you to fall over .

I said it could be given i didnt say it should be given .

Its a non contact sport so a free could be given for every time a player puts his hand on anothers back , bumps into him ,backs into him etc etc ... but the refs know there will be a limited amount of contact and that if you rule to the letter of the law nothing would ever get done thats why common sence is used .

unlike in this case where there was a little holding the ref had a word then Gerrard dived on the floor conned the ref into thinking the defender had dragged him to the ground and won a peno .

And explain what is wrong with that statement , using your vast knowledge of the game .

Rugby = contact sport
Football =non contact sport

And remember you have just said gerrard deserved a peno due to the tiny bit of contact, surely your not going to suggest that it isnt a non contact sport now are you ?????
