Just in case that any fans from other clubs are interested in going to Dalymount on Thursday, Bohs are offering a 5 euro discount for anyone who produces a current season ticket for another Airtricity League club.
....even....my season ticket?!!

I think people are getting a little bit carried away. They've only gone one round in Europe. Hardly groundbreaking.
It's great they've secured another 4 games. Nothing can be taken for granted about it, it's good for themselves in that position.

It's a trap, yes Mr. Shamrock Rovers season ticket holder the laneway is very quite this evening, now if you just follow us into this dark room you'll find the "special tickets"... once the chloroform hit's it'll all be a blur...
Surely that honour goes to SuperGretna, in the build up to their game against Derry.

The reality and possible alcohol present in HulaHoop's post pips it...

Its down to a couple of things. What round a team enters is down to the accession list;
http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/access2011.html
Whether they’re seeded or not is down to their individual seeds;
http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/data/method4/trank2011.html (this was the rank used for this season….)
So while Rovers were seeded in the CL qualifiers, Sligo wouldn’t have been.
Likewise even though Pats entered the Europa League in the 1st round, they were still seeded in the 2nd round
Is it weighted in anyway by what team beats what in terms of whose higher or is it just .3/.5, or even weighted more per round? If not its not a very fair reflection of things to be honest, granted any team can have a one off fluke but over two legs its certainly more difficult.

What a great thread! mypost's Vaduz ramblings, the classic "foot.ie's entire existence is predicated an the average idiot's ability to ignore other idiots" line, a mention of the bizarre mypost weekly round-up thread, Supergretna - what more could you ask for in one thread?!
The thread was even better when all those who thought Gretna were a good side, found out exactly how "good" they were in 90 minutes.
As for Vaduz, I still stand over those comments, and nothing I've seen and heard from that ragball side since, convinces me otherwise.

Wed 27th CH FC Copenhagen v Rovers - Parken Stadium - 8.00pm (local time)
Tue 2nd CH Rovers v FC Copenhagen - Tallaght 8.00pm
Date and time of both games as per the Rovers website. Anyone know if Copenhagen have a game between both legs? The first-leg is 7pm Irish time, should be in brackets above instead of "local time".

Out of the 24 Europa League games being played tomorrow, it seems there'll be only four not televised across the whole of Europe (http://liveonsat.com/LJ_foot_uefa_europa.php). That includes Dinamo Tbilisi-Llannelli, which won't be shown as 1TV in Georgia will already be occupied with the other game featuring a Georgian side, Gagra-Anorthosis Famagusta. Then there's Fulham-Crusaders, apparently, which will probably be shown on a betting site or two. Even two seperate Azerbaijani channels will be broadcasting the two Azerbaijani teams' games. No prizes for guessing the two additional games that won't be broadcast by any television company, however.
You do have to credit our national broadcaster(s); they're at least unique across Europe...

As an aside - has anyone seen Ryle Nugent's wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryle_Nugent)? Wiki-messing is becoming old hat, but that's good work.

Ryle is also an avid Munster fan, which we can see every time he commentates Leinster vs Munster. He and Tony Ward have been known to get so excited at the prospect of a Munster win that the studio has been described as 'becoming stickier than the inside of a Creme Egg'.

A great example of ignoring the problems at Das Modile Klub by posting sh!te instead (or are you saying when a Shams fans post a pic of another club they are clearly more obsessed with that club than their own?) ;) This pic goes nicely with the similar one from Israel last year in fairness

None of the home games involving Swedish clubs have been shown on television. However a local newspaper streamed Malmö's home game via their website and Elfsborg will stream their game tonight via their website (cost 15 euros). I wonder have any of our clubs the possibility of doing the same.

They have a league game at home on Saturday. They lost at home to West Ham in a friendly last night.
They have a new coach and personnel changes for this season so they might be slightly rusty for the games against Rovers.

I found it really strange that I was dreaming about St Pats last night but, they were 2-0 up in the game with 2 goals in quick succession. I woke up before the end of the game so I don't know how it finished up. Hopefully its a premonition. Can't help the boez I'm afraid.

Copenhagen had offered Rovers the chance to reverse the fixtures so they'd get the second leg at home. Shamrock Rovers declined. What LoI clubs have sold themselves out reversing the fixtures?

Thought that was a tad bizarre alright. Would love to see Rovers do them for that alone.
Hopefully Pats do the business tonight, they should be well able for it. Nothing to fear in the next round either.

That would give shams a little too much money so i have to hope the danes have it , as for pats hope they win tonight.

What are the odds on Pat's, Sligo and Shamrock Rovers all being in the Europa League play-offs?
Well Pats are 6/4 to qualify for 3rd round. I'd guess Sligo would be about the 7/4 mark in rd 3, we'd be 2/1. Rovers are 1/3 to lose to Copenhagen
So I'd guess 30/1
The only price I know is the 6/4 on pats to qualify tonight

Vaduz just scored a 97 minute goal, to win 3-1 away from home and go through 3-3 on aggregate on the away goals rule. They had lost the 1st leg 2-0 at home. Wasn't someone on this thread saying how crap they are and they haven't done anything in Europe to change their mind...think they might have now!

Andrew Johnson has put Fulham 1-0 up against Crusaders.

Wouldn't say it's a one-sided affair by any means. Karagandy have had a few efforts on goal, but they haven't come to anything. Wouldn't start any celebrations just yet. It's a dangerous lead. St. Pats just came close there. Best move of the match, according to commentary.
Vorskla Poltava beat Glentoran 3-0 earlier. The match stats from UEFA don't cast Glentoran in the best light. Apparently they had five players out due to work commitments.
Vorskla - Glentoran
3 Goals scored 0
12 Goal attempts 0
9 Attempts off target 2
4 Corners 2
I'd imagine Sligo should do a lot better and maybe Vorskla will return to Ireland a bit complacent.

07:27pm OH NO! The keeper slipped and lost his footing and the ball. Fagan ran onto it but rolled it straight into the keepers arms with a poor first touch. Should be 2-0
