So which match were you at?

FYI there was a refs assessor at Janesboro match, he found sweet FA to complain about.

Any league fixtures on the ould paper today,,,Some of us have a relagation battle to deal with as well..Its not all about the top of the league....

It will sort itself out but the refs do deserve respect and should not be touch or abused at in the way that mike burke was..Ok he is not the best ref in the town and well he ain't able to keep up with the play at the best of times but at least he is out there and trying....It can be dis-heartening if a goal is scored and it shouldn't have been or if a ball is handled in the box and its not given...Thats football so get on with it!!It happens on tele and it happens in local football!!!

theres no ldmc meeting tomorrow night there agm is on up in the pike club will have to wait till next week

They normally have there committee meeting before the AGM so would imagine that they will have to deal with this due to the importance and effect on so many clubs

Philbert, I think it was a Mitre Multiplex but it was changed to an Errea one after 19 minutes when someone accidentally kicked the Mitre into Rathbane Golf course.

someone else said this and it's true if Dom(wembley manager) pushed the referee
then six months suspension at a minimum, putting your hands on a ref is a major
no no and the abuse they are getting this season week in week out is out of control
won't be long before ref's pack it in and that will be the end of football in town. STOP
ABUSING REFS,,

I covered both matches.seeing as though one was over at 11.15am..Interesting comment..you obviously missed glasheen's punch or danny hanley trying to do mike aherne, shane o donoghue and darren horan at any opportunity as the game peetered out??

i dont think thats unreasonable See's it...

Could we just add the that Aisling be thrown out of the league also for bending over and taking it up the browner from granville
;)

just kidding lads

Not a bad suggestion.. if there's maybe 8 teams in the league come next season then that will mean less games and referees to worry about????::rolleyes::rolleyes:and maybe thel season will finish in mid- may instead of a projected mid- August

Dom's almost guaranteed to get a ban for his actions, regardless of what happens on a pitch he/his subs bench have absolutely no right to abuse the Referee the way they did. And refusing to comply to a referee's request 3 times. Pushing the man twice. And general abuse up to his face. They disgraced themselves.

You described it perfectly bar that line...Dom never once put a hand on the ref..Mulcahy pushed the ref and got sent off for it which will result in a 6 month ban

The problem is coming from the role models.
Constant abuse from the likes of Terry, Rooney, Keane in his day,Robbie Keane to name but a few means there is no respect for referees at any level of the game. Not to mention Alex Ferguson who tries to bully referees whereas if this was rugby he would be long gone for disrepute and trying to influence future refereeing decisions.
I have said this before but would it be so hard to follow the rugby example of the Captain being the only one allowed to 'speak' to the referee.?
Its getting beyond a joke at this stage im glad to be out of the top level to be honest.
Managers have to set the example also as barating the referees sets a bad example to all especially players. Again rugby example could be followed...
On here iv read connie and ohanlon are a disgrace.
Lets get integrity in our game before its get too late.
Also, i am fully aware that referees make mistakes. Human nature im afraid.
But, every player (22) that plays a game of soccer will make at least one mistake in that game.Accept the decisions and the best team will win in the end.

Some fair points Joe but I hardly think Mulcahy was influenced by Paolo Di Canio when he pushed the ref on Sunday..

I never said Dom even touched him which he didn't, I was simply stating the man was pushed twice,by either the same player or 2 different players.

I know I'd never try my hand at being a Referee, far too much hassle for them. As was said above you can be guarnteed all 22 or so players that play a match will at least make a mistake. So when I referee makes one,yes a quick word with the Ref should be had to make sure it doesn't happen again but apart from that he's doing a vital job for the game so leave them be.

What incidents dalegend??? My long term memory is failing me at present...Or will you like the majority fob us off with some other whine about Pike or other. Let me guess your another of these "I heard it from a friend of a friend so it MUST be true" merchant..

The only hand Pike had in the incident last Sunday was to score the goal(whether a goal or not) and the fact the match was played in the Pike club. Apart from that it was ALL Wembley.

And what attitude,I come on here, a public forum and voice my own(as in my personal opinion) in a place that supposed to be used for exactly that. I've never once said I represented any club, just as I said, voicing my opinions. The only problem is most on here are anti-Pike as are you. Join the queue to have a pop at Pike will you. If the comments on here were taken half serious we'd have various lawsuits on our hands.

quick question if players as they have in the past get six months for hitting other players on the field, does that mean the same for hitting a ref, i'd be thinking touch a ref and thats it you may as well give up soccer as you'll be banned anyways for a hell of a lot more than 6 months. surely hitting, shoving, pushing a ref must result in a major ban. did it not happen years ago in moyross when a player hit a ref and was banned for life. not stirring a mess for the wembley players involved just asking a question.

Does that mean if ypou are down to 10 men if your management get the match abandoned you get a replay ??
The whole thing is a mess.

The ref's take too much abuse but they let themselves. Give yellows and reds much faster for abuse and that will sort it once and for all.

Are you a badly misplaced advert for the Lisbon treaty? You seem to say FACT alot...Who said the season revolves around Pike Rvs? If anything its revolving around Ballananty Rvs at present,3 games behind in the league,1 behind in one of the cups. And people constantly calling for Pike to have 2 weeks off so they can catch up. People seem to forget theres life out side of Football,I'm sure the majority of players have summer plans. So the faster this season ends the better.

on another note.. all this crack about the wembley v pike game.. seems to be the common demoninator is mick burke..lads he's the worst ref in town and should not be reffing nite owls games.. let alone big premier matches!!

playoff is the worst they can get now with carew playing granville and

granville have 2 games left,, if carew and granville draw and granville win the other game they would be on 21 with carew, with summerville losing there remaining game they would be on 20pts, thats also if corbally get something from the balla game, cant see it coming to that though reckon they'll be safe

Hi there,Can't see summerville going down not just yet anyway. For them to automatically to go down granville need a win tonight and a draw with carew on sunday and then summerville to lose to balla on sunday(which more than likely will happen as summerville are missing 5-6 players)and then corbally to get a win off balla. So as said previously the worst summerville can get realistically is a playoff.

As for Mike Burke. The less said about this guy the better to be honest.I know he is out there doing his job but sometimes or should i say most of the time he is brutal!
Where is the granville v fairview game on tonight? And what time?
