ex limerick player?
Ya he was up at the Pike game on Sunday. He's the center forward for the irish junior team at the moment. That'll be 4 on the Pike team now. He's thinking about signing alright. I think he's in college down in Limerick.

Green Hoop your lack of football knowledge shocks me sometimes, well actually every post you write. Would you still be supporting Pike if they weren't so successful in recent times I wonder? Paddy and Jamie are two to the best full backs in town which can't be disputed. Alright Paddy gave away a sloppy corner for the third goal but at the end of the Junior footballers make mistakes, you mightn't know this but every player makes mistakes in a game.
Monster

Paddy Mitchell 1 of the best full backs in town??Are you for real

Best in town?if thats the case the fullbacks about town aren't upto much, mitchell wasn't the best in town when Pike let him go 3 seasons back and certainly as monster said isn't the best around now, look at last sunday,he was to blame for the 3rd goal, and almost caused a 4th with a horrendous back pass...
And Enright got turned inside out during the game, his lack of a left leg which he only uses to stand on flags him as a out and out left back..he's only a kid and will ofc learn from his mistakes during the game..hopefully its soon,When I talked to Eddie donovan(Snr),he was cringing at some of there mistakes..
And Noddy just look at the posts here and and in the FAI threads, most agree the fullbacks were dreadful..so think again when flaming me cheers.

Jaime is a class defender, great commitment and tough to beat, yes he got skinned for the opener but reacted well. the pen was a tough call on the lad. As for Paddy Mitchell hes not playing as well last year but theres not too many wingers who would take him to the cleaners.

Can't see junior clubs signing L37 players been to clever a move. These players are all going to go back to L37 when they start back training in early Feb. That means thay will only be available to junior clubs for around 2 months.
So while they are at junior clubs that means junior players will be left out of the team and will become a bit upset by being left out. Then when the L37 lads go back to L37 who will replace them at the junior clubs?? the same fella's that were left out when the L37 lads came to the club!! and come Feb the transfer window will be closed.

Who says they'll be going back to L37??Jamie Enright left the L37 U-21's mid season to join Pike,I wouldn't say he'd be going back anytime soon..They have no obligation to go back to L37 or to even join them in the first place sure...

Theres no guarentee that any of these L37 players will go back to Limerick in Feb/March. Apparently only 6/7 of the U-21 players will be offered contracts next season and in my opinion the others will stay with their chosen Junior clubs. I could name you know the players who will stay at their Junior Clubs instead of re-joining Limerick. The likes of Jamie Enright left Limerick and he will stay with Pike as will many of the others so I dont think its a bad move by Junior Clubs because these are the best young players in the city at the moment.

(Just very busy at the moment and the age profile of the committee is not conducive to having the help required. I have a piece in the paper tomorrow looking for help)

Bloody brilliant reply, had me in stitches, best comment I've seen in ages...
To clear it up,the Draw's on tonight in Cork, and I doubt the LDMC site more than likely won't have it,as the sites going to be down for another week or 2....Best bet is to try either the FAI site,or the local paper tomorrow night,Pat Sheehan should have it in the sports section.Or maybe even here??

Of course they will. There's so many players leaving Athenry, that it's lonely
round the fields up there.:

Think the OT is on this Sunday, so I would imagine any teams without players on the OT will have a Lawson Cup game with maybe the odd league game here and there.
