A handy 3 points for the home side plunging star deeper into trouble!

think not guy. we have a very good keeper back in goals for us. and think he will install confidence back to the team. he was very good against boro the week end. better than any in limerick this season

actually alan has not played in defence for most the season he has been up front and has scored a few, but when has played in defence we have not conceded as much as we are right now. and right now he is injured.

He conceded 4 against Boro, and 3 against Regional tonight.I dont think that'll install much cofidence in a team get real bud, Star would'nt beat the "Sisters of Mercy".

3 nice Pike goals, and with Bennis in goal, who could barely more let alone kick the ball,AA were very very disappointing...Could have been more easily..

In fairness , he did concede 4 against the Boro, but none were his fault, and it could have been 7/8 only for him.

He also made some nice saves last night, so credit where credit is due, he is a good keeper.

As for your last comment above, in all fairness any team in town would struggle if they lost 10-12 players from their squad in the off season, even the so called "big teams", so give the smart remarks a break and just wait and see the outcome at the end of the season, and we'll take it from there.

Its getting boring now, with all the anti Star remarks.

balla were blessed last night. boro hit the bar and crossbar and if it wasnt for the balla keeper they could have won by 4 or 5. the boro were very unlucky

Aisling & Boro can say goodbye to the league this year after last nights results.
Its now down to Balla, Pike & View to win it, with Regional having an outside chance.

to me fairview would have to be outright favourites.

They play Pike and balla at home, have a far bigger squad that anyone else and have the returned LOI players .... its theres to lose

Not Sure of the refs name...
boro have pike & regional left at home...If the lads play aswell as last evening they could easily take points off either team..they have balla, ashling corbally and carew away.

the lads might have a say at both ends of the table yet.

I'd agree with that. The midweek games will catch pike. Have a very small squad at the moment. Going to be interesting though. Balla are really getting lucky breaks at the moment.

Was at the game myself and while I thought the Boro back four were excellent as was Alan Barry I thought the antics of the Boro players was terrible, everytime they went in for the slightest challenge they went down injured trying to waste time. The referee it has to be said (Hourigan) had a nightmare of a game. Overall a draw was a fair result but looked like for a long time that the Boro would hold out. Balla were poor.

Talk about reverse physcology.
Pike are 3pts clear of Fairview and would only need to draw away to Fairview and then win their remaining games, so for me its in Pikes & Balla's hands, but I still fancy Balla to sneak it.

The boro players are watching too much TV, I reckon. Draw was def a fair result last night. Might be the point that wins us the league. Also, on Balla having a bit of luck this season, scoring in the dying minutes of games is never luck, its a sign of a good team with bottle.

Leather, lets be honest about it, some of them (not many) do tend to spend most of their time on their backsides (take notice of it in the next game if you dont believe me), I'm just giving my opinion from what Ive seen of them this season.

Lads there is alot of yee having ago at the ref of Boro vs Balla ,i was on the side line and on both sides were roaring and shouting trying to influence the ref s decision, then on the pitch the players were diving all over the place trying to get one another booked.I no the ref was not great but the players did not make it any easier for him.The Boro should have put the game out of Balla s reach instead of blaming the ref only them selves to blame.

Well said Macca
Its embarrassing the amount of teams that blame
referees these days. Best team invariably wins a game.
Players have a lot to answer for. Absolutely no respect
anymore for the referees.

Pike v Ballynanty
Corbally v Pike
Pike v Wembley
Regional v Pike
Pike v Carew
Pike v Summerville
Pike v Star Rvs
Janesboro v Pike

Pike's run in for the league,7/8 probable wins.Seems alot easier than Balla's run in which includes Pike and Fairview away..

that's laughable "dive and stay down so you don't react to a tackle",, horsesh*t if a tackle puts you over you get up if you can and you stay down if you can't, and "reacting" peole get tackled it's part of the game you go in hard in the next tackle

Aye sure we'll see end of the season,ye've managed to be wrong about 90% of things around here so far...5 home wins should come easy,Balla playing fairly average football of late,Corbally/Boro/Regional shouldn't prove that hard matchs, only match thats 50/50 is the View match, could go either way...

Didn't ye predict a draw for Pike against AA there on Thursday, instead a rather comfortable 3-0 win...Stick to the day jobs lads, being a pundit isn't quite up your alley..

Scoreline doesn't flatter the view at all. Could and should have been more. AA have a lot of work to do before their semi final v Balla after two bad results/performances..
