Enright lives above in crossagalla somewhere, lively left/right winger from what I remember of him, around 19/20 now I think.
Pa Maloney.. Irish cap my behind? If I remember Pa mullaly told him to get lost a few seasons back and he certainly hasn't got the skill level to reach junior int. levels..dream on.
Pike Rovers seem to be the one team in town that manages to keep a core of dedicated club players around.
And Jamie Enright moving to Pike makes sense, since the kid lives across the road from the club.
And from the looks of it,it won't be long before connie is moving on to bigger and better things from his impressive start to management already..
what about balla and carew park, apart from phelan, morris and enright theres not many "dedicated club men" up there.

pike are so lucky to have a nice bunch of guys up their, fellas that would follow the club in good times and bad, sure money couldnt buy loyalty like that and its great to see them ALL out on a sunday night for a drink-win or loose.keep it up lads its what junior football is all about ,friendship and making new pals.

Over the last what 10 years we've had players like Walsh, Enright,Declan Casey, morris, the McGarry's,hannrahan,Phelan and so on play for us and remain loyal.
I doubt Phelans 1 year out of the last 15-20 years playing for pike knocks his loyalty..Same with the rest...
And lads you've gotta get the players from somewhere if you don't have a strong schoolboy system up there..

Haven't seen much of Jamie Enright is he a good player?
I've seen him play twice with L37 U21's. He was top class first time I saw him, very confident, got stuck into plenty of hard tackles, made runs up the wing and all round very impressive.
The last time he played he was very quiet and didn't play a full half, dont know if he was just back from injury or what 'cos he'd been missing from a few games.
Based on first impressions though he's an excellent player :ball:

Jaime is a very good player and a loss to Mungret.
Thats from Mungret to Regional
Ger Burke, Mark Finucane, Eoin Mullins, Dara O Brien, (i think Darren Horan was a few years ago but not sure)
from Mungret to Pike,
Alan Finucane, Dara Droog (now Regional), Paddy Mitchell, Gary Long, Jaime Enright.
plus the players they have it wouldnt be bad

He's also only recently been capped by Ireland at college level in LIT,playing with Mungret - following Hartnett ( Pike) in Barcelona in 2005 and Hurley (Aisling) in North Carolina in 2006... A fine player and good signing by Pike

poor old mungret... what mite have been!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Janesboro 0 - 3 Fairview. Good win for the view who are gettin stronger by the week, and they were also missing 7 players who are good enough to start. All goals scored in the second half. Its not lookin good for the Boro (also missing players) i must say....looks like they will be far off the pace this year, and it may get even worse before it gets any better. Amazing seeing as they were the best team in town 3 months ago.
Any other of todays scores?

Heard Alan barry might be going to pike now, What is going on with Boro. Boro were the best thing since sliced bread last year now they've lost a few players had a bad start and now players start to jump ship. They are only 2 points off pike. u'd have to wunder is it a good thing for pike to be signing these kind of players. I know the balla lads wouldn't carry on like this.

I took my son to the Ballananty and Aisling Annacotty game on Sunday morning and the Ballananty players behaved like a bunch of women at an Ann Summers party.
They swarmed the ref with every decision, kicking players off the ball, I even witnessed one player trying to climb over his own player during a scuffle to the amusement of all watching.
A very poor display of referring handed Ballananty the game by awarding a penalty but from what I witnessed they were outclassed and out played. I’ll think twice about taking my son to another game if that’s what is on offer.

regional asked for the hogan park pitch to be meassured the ref did it and found it was 4 FEET short. the ref.. wanted to play it and even said it was ridiculous bottom line regional wanted it off because they were missing there goalkeeper.
seamus o connell was delighted even his owe players were left in shock when he said no to playing the match owen mullins was shaking his head and called him a tool as he walked to the dressing room
i think seamus is getting carried away are regional the new fairview :D

If every rumour about Pike gettin a new player a week we'd have a bigger squad than Man utd and as for Boro' demanding €150 for Pa,I'd go along with 'see's it' and say its more like €1.50...
Pike had a new striker last weekend, unfortunely the pouring rain kept away all but the fateful so no chance to ask his name, anyone know?

Was talking to a few of the Regional players as I was going up to watch this match, they told me the ref said the pitch was 24 yards short of a regulation size pitch, the ref gave them the choice of playing the game, Seamus asked the players and they rightly said not to play as they were missing a few players.
I doubt if Carew Park would have played the game if they were in the same situation as Regional and given the choice by the ref!
Apparently Pike also complained about the size of the Hogan Park pitch? Maybe someone from Pike could clear this up?
