Big Bird I think you dived and got Daz booked. Well done in the end and
I think we will improve but I think you and your other Protestants
Peaked last night.

I think Fairview are a very well organised club with a very knowledgable chairman, unlike some other clubs which i wouldn't like to mention! Fairview deserved the win last night and should have won by more in the end. All summerville wanted to do was start fights, well done to the ref for a great game!

Ger Collopy, Pa Barry, Len O Grady, and when fit the likes of Derek Hannon and John Collopy.

Watched Aisling against Star last night, Star are the unfittest premier team I have seen in years. Not a hope of any player mentioned getting on any decent premier side in town. Alan Morton and Jefrey Joyce were the only star players with any hope of getting on another premier side.

are you mad. carew should of been 3 up at half time the carew striker had two clean through ono on ones and missed them both. as for corbally missing a host of chances i recall gordon making 3 saves in the entire match which were straight at him. and that over weight centre half was noel noonan who domanated yer strikers himself and mike carey. also carew were without albert slattery and johnny corbett.

i do agree with you on the ref.. some really crazy calls for both sides he played 8mins injury time. on the result it was a hard earned and excellant 3 points for carew there a young team and are doing well at the momentno i,m not mad,but i can see your easily upset.you must be a carew player.whats this ,yer strikers about,i am not connected to corbally just commenting on what i saw.i am quite sure every team are short players this time of year,i did,t comment on the performance of your c.half,i said he was overweight and lucky to stay on the pitch, his use of his elbow was liberal to say the least, the fact that carew keeper made only 3 saves does not mean corbally had only 3 chances.carew did ok but imo lucky to win.btw sort the spelling.

Just like to wish Limerick hurlers all the best on sunday. It would be a nice double, Limerick for the hurling and Fairview for the FAI!:D:D:D

I am just saying that there should be a certain standard of facilities/pitch for clubs that want to play in the premier league. No?

You need to generate money to improve facilities, the GAA have it down to a fine art. Afterall are football clubs not providing a valuable facility to the local community.

Yes I agree but you stated above that Balla and Star get changed on the road side?? Balla maybe, but Star have changing facilities, and also have plans for a much larger clubhouse to be built.

Pike Rovers,Fairview,Summerville have full structures in place for there teams,I fail to see why other clubs can't follow.

Premier clubs should be required to have certain structures in place,a minimum being a Changing rooms for both teams. But personally I'm not bothered about other clubs,I know Pike change above in the club house before heading to away matches(and yes I know our changing rooms aren't the greatest) so it doesn't particularly effect us.

Heard Summerville are on the look out for a new keeper, apparently the current number 1 ate too many pies over the summer :D! The former limerick star, Brian Slattery is supposed to be in goals for them thursday. Just like to wish Fairview best of luck in the FAI, and also best of luck to croom!

when granvilles and carew's new facilities come on line will balla be the only ones without dressing rooms...?
sad to see one of the first to have facilities fall behind... fine club..

Do balla still own the land that their clubhouse used to be on?

Did balla ever own that land?

I think they are running a draw for the last 3 seasons and all the money from this is going towards securing land for their own place. I could be totally wrong here also but I was told this by one of their players last year.

MitreSize5
05/09/2007, 3:05 PM
theres a house built on that land now so I doubt it.

when we played them out there a few weeks ago the ref was paid in loose change out of the bucket at the gate so I cant imagine they're any where near buying a pitch for themselves

Roadend
05/09/2007, 3:22 PM
Parkville bought that swamp about 10 years ago, that house was built on one of the pitches that used to be there.
