Difference is, Amatuer grade is players that have never played Semi/Pro Football.Players that are Junior or Senior as in Leinster or Munster Senior League players are OK as long as they have never signed as Semi/Pro.

Players that have played Semi/Pro or even Leinster or Munster Senior League
football at some stage in their career are OK for Junior Intl Team as long as they playing Junior Football. For example, if Junior Intl. Team have a game next week, a player is eligible as long as he is playing for a Junior Club.Davy Wall was playing for Pike when he played for the Junior team, isn't Eligible for Amatuer because of playing Semi/Pro in the past.

Hope that clears it up.Not really,i'm even more confused now,is junior football not an amature game? After all, Munster senior league and leinster senior league are only glorified junior leagues and who ever makes these rules must be daft!

having played in both junior and intermediate leagues i can assure you the standard is quite a bit higher trust me.

junior players are eligible for both the junior and amatuer teams, while intermediate players are only eligible for the amateur team

If it was to happen the I assume one team would get a bye into the final (definately wont be us) with the other 2 teams playing a semi and meeting the team that got the bye in the final, but the semi and final would be played in Jackman I would guess. I wouldnt rule Carew Park out of the relegation fight just yet either, but from Wembley upwards should be safe.

I honestly think carew have just enough points to keep them safe this year but they woud want to get there act together for next year!!! i think 16 points will be the safe point this year to be honest!!!!

I still stick with 18-20pts for safety, and if I'm correct, then Carew could still be sucked in.

Yes, but we also have Granville, Summerville & Wembley at home, with Corbally to play away, so we'd be looking for at least 10pts from those games, which would give us 19pts,

Think you said the same crap at the same time last year, and you had to eat your words, if I were you, I'd keep stum until you know for sure.
We were in the exact same position this time last year as we are now, and we got out of it, so at least we have the experience of doing it (all be it not a nice position to be in).

how would that work. that semi final with one team with a bye only works for promotion not relegation. it would have to be a round robin type thing

i saw ye last week against boro and thought ye looked very poor. was like a training game for the boro the way they passed around ye. IMO i dont think ye have what it takes to cut it at premier.

Your entiteld to your opinion, but can you honestly say that there are not 2 worse teams than us in the Premier?
We are not counting on getting points from the so called big teams but if we do then they are classed as bonus points for us, like when we drew with Boro, View & Balla, earlier this season, but from here on in we need to imporve and as I said, we are getting players back to help us to do that.

still think granvile will have a bit to say and i also feel the so called lesser teams like star s/ville corbally will take points from the bigger teams. it allways happens. everybody also seems to forget carew were a very good team at the start of the year and that has not changed. for some reason i think we as in star will end up in a three way tie for the second last relegation spot. and out of the 5 teams that could go down can say i'd expect them to come right back up next year. star will take points off the bigger teams wait and see.

at the end of the day were all in this for the excitement i mean at the top of the table you have your ex loi players all playing with the top 4/5 teams so they should be better than us (they been paid to play)
and down the bottom of the league you have the real battlers the guys who make junior football good. tell you one thing i'd rather be playing all the top teams in town in our run in than any of the bottom 4 teams.
its going to get interesting over next few weeks and can see us s/ville and corbally takin points of table toppers
