No chip on my shoulder bud...some of the best football people in limerick are true pike supporters. Maybe if some of the pikeys on here refrained from bitching about everybody getting preferential treatment from council(in their eyes).I might then be able to have a discussion about football with them.. I could give you a list the length of the pike field about percieved bias asainist my club by council that even you would be shocked at ...I imagine all clubs feel the same way but you dont have them bitch'in and moaning about everything...
Most of the bitchers aren't even real Pike people bud, don't be fooled.

No disrespect meant and too repeat what Mr P.Cusack (r.i.p) used to say to me about matches being cancelled because of a bereavement.." if they are above the ground, the match is off, if they are in the ground, the fixture goes ahead". might sound a bit cold but it was a fair comment...

TNo disrespect meant here either but i know if i died in the morning i would prefer if all games went ahead as planned..I would prefer it that way....I think if u are a follower, player or involved in football i would prefer if the games went ahead??What do people think?? Minutes silence would be enough??Unless of course the funeral was on the night of the match's but as stated above the matchs should go ahead then!!??

Whats a "real" Pike person then? Its like a mythical legend at this stage, talked of by frequently, but never defined...Will there be any of these "real" Pike people at the AGM tonight?

That would be the definition of a forum alright..Although most on here can't grasp the concept of other people having different opinions to their own.

I think maybe the only time the game should be called off is if the match coincides with the funeral arrangements.

Otherwise i think a minutes silence is more appropriate. Thats a more respectful way IMO.

If Pike fail to take 6 points from their last two games the season could stretch well into June. With all the games Balla need to play.
You'd have to fancy Pike though.

What has happened to the View in recent weeks? Derek White playing up front i think i heard recently

Think Mike O' Regan has been doing it for the last while and will be doing it from now on

are you having a laugh,it was mick noonan and co that got rid of mike o regan and you think they have him back down there.mick noonan and paul neville have been doing it and as far as i know they are just carrying on the system and fixtures p cusack had

As referenced in our various PM's,you've still no idea who I am,So I'd sincerely appreciate you not making stupid comments like the above. If you were anything of a "real" Pike man you'd have been above in the clubhouse for the AGM instead of talking trash on this constantly...

As for the second half of the reply, well its basically utter nonsense really, A few vital issues were raised during the course of the AGM. None of which tempted you up it appears. Some Pike man you are..

Apologies to all, Just getting bleeding sick of his various attempts at guessing who I am. I'm predicting next weeks guess as Lance Armstrong. Any takers?

My guess is that the current stay up was a tempt one until the close of season? Having almost achieved their goal(staying up),they've served there purpose? Total guesstimate there though.

The current manager has been there 3 years now, was going to take a step back when Pa Mul came in but had to step in when Pa Mul took his ball and went home.

He's done a good job that lad with corbally. Not alot of teams could handle losing so many players over the last 3 years and stay up. They got to the munster junior quarter final last year I remember.

Your man Pa Mul really messed things up there at the start of the season... Looked promising there for a bit.
I think the main reason for all their players leaving in the past was down to the management up there

The one man team gas!! Have ye no subs?? In all fairness can you imagine been a sub for pike nd hearing that it'd break your heart. Have ye no faith in the lads at all. Here if ye win the league just give him all the medals. Hartnetts missing give me a break

Are there any fixtures for tomorrow or Thursday lads?

whitestripe
26/05/2008, 1:38 PM
Aisling V Balla in the Touhy tomorrow - not sure of any other fixture. It would be nice to know ahead of the Bank Holiday if matches will be fixed. Surely at this stage a complete fixture list could be drawn up so Clubs can have some idea of forthcoming games. Close on impossible for clubs to plan ahead with the current situation imo, another reason why clubs are fielding understrenght teams. again imo.

CORBETT WILL BE IN MIDFIELD FOR FINUCANE

Still will be a very strong Pike starting eleven.
Bennis
Mitchell, Purcell, Enright, Corbett
O'Donovan, Wall, O'Grady, Boyle
Moloney, Morris

Surely that will be the starting team tonight, if who you say is missing are in fact missing.
