Seamie's contract with Everton is forever, according to Ancelotti. His contract with Everton is to the end of the 2021/22 season.

Don't think we'll be Coleman in Azerbaijan. Doherty, and McClean to start I'd reckon.

Hopefully Stevens on the left now that he's back fit.

Bad defensive clearance today away to Palace, which was followed by an even worse pass from Demarai Gray. He's out of contract at the end of next season, so Everton really need to bring in a long-term replacement and start to phase him out.

You'd have to wonder if Kenny could be tempted to switch. England have about 30 international calibre right backs.

I dont think he's eligible but he seems to have gone backwards the last few seasons anyway

Wikipedia says he qualifies through a grandparent, for whatever that's worth.

Spent 2019/20 in the Bundesliga and half of last season at Celtic - if Coleman retires before the next campaign, that's the sort of level that would make him immediate back-up to Doherty, or even in direct competition for the right-back/RWB position. Maybe time to make a pitch to him, especially if he moves to a lower EPL/upper Championship team

You've basically got Doherty (29) and Coleman and Christie backing up. After that, the alternatives are: McNamara, Kioso, Garner-Hickman, Rafferty, O'Connor, O'Shea and maybe Ebosele if he ends up a fullback rather than a winger. Relatively slim pickings...

Best Everton player by far, he is having a blinder toda y, it seems coady and tarkowski dont get along or are so similar a player they cant play together, whatever, Coleman almost scores and saved the 1-3

Rashford got very little joy out of Coleman. Appreciated Coleman's positional play and reading of the game today... Everton were definitely weaker when he went off.

Best Everton player by a mile today attacking and defending. The two center backs don't gel together well, Coleman was covering both, 1-2 was a mistake by Onana I think who got schooled by Casemiro when Everton on Attack. Coady and Tarkowski can't play together is like lampard- Gerrard of centerbacks

I think Colman knew his team mates are so slow that there was no chance they would be far enough forward, so decided to give it a lash ~ Great Result.

nothing bizarre about it at all. superb finish from a super player. you could see he looked up and picked his spot. so intellegent.

no way it was a cross that went in as there was no one in the box for him.

Good finish for sure but definitely a bizarre goal when you look at the keeper's positioning.

In fairness, pineapple didn't say it was a cross that went in. He said the keeper was expecting a cross; that meant his positioning was off, and that created the opportunity that Coleman took so well.

Meant to post about this before. Thought Coleman looked pretty strong against Forest over the weekend. Had a good penalty shout, got forward to support the attack well. It’s a tough season for Everton but Coleman looks to be doing well individually.

Coleman back and now stretchered off after a nasty tackle from a Leicester player. Was holding his knee and looked in anguish. Had been playing really well too. This worries me, could be the last we see of him.

It would be tragic way for a player and person of his caliber to finish his career, especially after coming back from another horrific injury already. Both from stupid, reckless tackles.

Not trying to write his epitaph too soon or anything but he deserves to be discussed when there’s debates about some of our greats. A gem.

Seems like a great fella alright. His last serious injury has held him back a lot ~ ~ Anyone, hope for the best for him.

I can't watch this back having been close enough to the Wales injury. Would rather not see this. But going by every report it could be career ending.

If so, it is sickening he didn't get to retire from Ireland on his own terms. Only solution for it is for him to manage us some day. That would be consolation. A leader of men.

I'd love to have seen Seamus at his peak having played for us when we had one of our better sides. He certainly had great potential as an attacking full back in a very good team.

Great news! It didn't look promising when he was face down on the pitch for 5 minutes, stretchered off with his leg in a brace. I was genuinely worried that it could end his career, especially after his prior injury against Wales, so this is a great bit of news to wake up to!

The right-back, who joined Everton from Sligo Rovers in January 2009 for £60,000, has made 409 appearances for the Club, putting him 17th on the Toffees’ all-time list.
Coleman is also the longest current serving player in the Premier League and is just three matches away from surpassing Tim Howard (354) as Everton’s record appearances maker in the competition.
