You'll be waiting for a long time for that seeing as you released him! :p
Did we? We let such a hot prospect slip through the nets? Listen to this, if this comes about i'll tell you the best thing about judgey is his WAG:D

We would want to be getting a nice price for him, quality player and a natural born striker if ever there was one, I'd settle for around 20,000?:D

Dundalk dont pay transfer fees, if there is a price, he wont be joining us

Good to see we are keeping McGill and Flood. Darren Meenan, Derek Doyle and Paul Marney all new signings as well as Kevin Doherty and Peter Hynes which was already mentioned.

What do Dundalk fans think of Marney??

I was starting to think he was finished last year which was a shame because I always kind of rated him.

Meenan is a nobody

Doherty is crap.

And Hynes could go either way.

BUT...........

It's the squads the likes of Shels, Fingal and Waherfurr will build which will prevent Limerick challenging. :o

Doherty's not crap at this level but he is injury prone. I thought Waterford were cutting their budget ths year significantly hence why Cronin resigned?. He was in for the Town job but was making demands about his potential budget. Will they be "about to go out of business" halfway through next season again or what?. Bah humbug..

I'm very disappointed that Marney was let go. He is a great passer of the ball and can read the game well. He's quite pacey too. He is a great squad player and his versatility means he can fill a hole anywhere in the team - he even played in goals for us last season as we came back from 1-0 down to beat Fingal 3-2. He was kept out of the starting eleven due to there being better players in the positions he can play but he always gave 100% when he did play and wherever he played. Perhaps his versatility means that it is hard to say exactly what his best position is!

but something went wrong along the lines for 2008, only scored once. I would give him a few games before I could rate him again.

Possibly the large chunk of the season he missed through injury?

Judge forgot how to play football in '08. Absolutely useless whenever I saw him.

Saying that, for 3 months in '07 he was the best striker in the league. If he hits that form again, we'll regret letting him go. But maybe that's what he needs, a new challenge?

Plenty of news from Monaghan but we would rather keep it out of the mainstream until everyone has signed on the dotted line.

Decent player, has done a good job for us, the one thing I noticed over the past few season was that he rarely stood out, for eg he rarely turned a game for us, but still a solid perfomer none the less, still has a few years left, but only in the First Div.

Well he wont be joining us then SB !!

We wont be going down the route of our southern county neighbours, wages are expensive enough w/o having to pay for a transfer.

Meenan wouldn't get within five hundred feet of the Limerick team therefore I don't rate him

Centre Halfs of Dohertys "quality" are ten a penny at this level

Judging from what I saw 4 times this season, he'd be first choice.

Doherty was easily our most consistent centre-back last season. He is a class player and Shels will be better with him there.

I only saw Meenan once this year when we played UCD and he was probably their best player that night. He also scored a cracker in that game.

Thats absolute rubbish. He was excellent every time I saw him for Rovers, and the shock when he was let go from Rovers kinda indicated that it wasn't just me who felt that way.

Too good for the Irish league, real shame he didn't get a decent run up front for the muckers, he would have scored a bag full given the same supply as Farren got this season.

It is in today's Indo that Dundalk are after 19 year old Shaun Kelly from Hearts. According to this (http://www.skysports.com/football/player/0,19754,11790_375263,00.html), he is from Donegal.. Any Finn Harps fans know anything about him?

He's been told he can find a new club for himself as none of the youth team are ever given a chance at hearts. He made the bench for the first team once iirc.
Was at harps on loan last season but got called back after a week due to injuries at Hearts.

Might be a big club but its still a sh!te league, bar 2 clubs the IL is poor and a player of Kevins calibre should be playing at a higher level.

The Harps players said he is a quality player, disappointing he had to leave after only a week.
As he is from Donegal I doubt too much Higsy will be interested, Conor will know all about him but Cook is cute enough too and id say that would be Kellys preferred destination would be Sligo, given the opportunity.

As a matter of fact we have been linked to both these players as well as Matt Judge and Danny Ventre!

Liam Burns is a top defender and played really well with Bohs last season...he is out of contract atm and with Bohs having to cut their wage bill could be a long shot signing for us as our owner has given Connor a considerable wage budget to work with this year.We are taking on 7-8 full timers!
Chris Turner played really well with ye until he moved to Bohs...didnt really get a look in there but could be a useful signing!
Im very weary about Singh, always injured...did he play much for ye or was he always injured?
Looking forward to seeing Mansaram...hes got alot of pace and very strong on the ball but isnt an out and out goal scorer!which is something that we need!

i was speaking to alan kirby in longford last friday and he confirmed the only clubs that are interested in him are first division clubs. when I asked him about the premier division he said that noone from that division have approached him yet.. wonder is there a slight chance that he could resign for us considering that he is engaged to a longford lass and is building a house in longford..;)

What age is Kirby...isnt he well into his 30's now...himself and ollie Cahill are past their best..cant see much interest from Premier Division clubs for either but in saying that we signed James keddy when we were last in the Premeir and he had a brilliant season with us!he was into his 30's then to!

Kirby still has a couple of good seasons left in him.

I'd say ye would get Matthew Judge but I highly doubt your gonna sign Danny Ventre as he only signed a new contract before the season ended.

As for Singh he actually played very well only got injured while with us near the end of the season. He's capable of scoring some great goals. And finally, I wouldn't put to much faith in Mansaram, he looks good but I still find him too over-rated.

Limerick, if they do sign any players will only sign them if their living, studying or working in the mid west. Its not a Basque thing its just for economic reasons. We are in no rush to keep up with the Jones's. Rumour in the first is that there will be 5/6 clubs going amateur this year.
