Not dismissing the player but anyone can look class in friendlies. Brian Morris-Roe was the best player in the country in friendlies...
The one who was on loan at Sporting Fingal?
Aye, think he was with them for a bit this season. played for Pats between 1994-98 (ish) and then had a spell with Rovers. Scored crackers in 3 successive games v Southamptn, Sunderland and Tranmere.
Was actually OK for a couple of seasons with us too (in farness) but never lived up to his pre-season displays

Friemanis has signed for us too. He played for FK Riga, who knocked out Bohs (actually found out he set up the goal that knocked them out).

And your fine with the fact the people who sell you tickets are not getting paid so the club can sign the guy who set up a goal vs bohs.
fans eh? the real world doesnt apply to them.

Kdjac eh? The rules of comprehension don't apply to him....
Now read the post again.
1) Where does he say he's happy Fremanis signed
2) Even more importantly, where does he say he's happy it was at the expense of ticket.
The people who sell us our tickets(Ticketscan) agreed to the 7.5% along with other creditors.
NO city fan, is happy we went into examinership, or that our creditors, most of them City fans got screwed. but it happened, theres nothing we could do about it(as fans) and forgive me for being happy that the club came out of it.
We are starting afresh, with a new owner, and he is putting in place structures to guarantee we dont spend more than we bring in, from now on.
The whole point of examinership is to sort out the debt owed, generally paying a percentage of it, and move on with a clean slate. Its unfortunate for those who lost money(my sister was one of the staff who did) but we must move on.
Most City staff are happy with the arrangement at present, anyone who leaves(or has left) because of the money they didnt get, I wish them nothing but the best in the future.
We are signing Fremanis because within our new sustainable budget, with our new owner, we will have 16full time players and he will be one of them, not because Arkaga managed to screw money out of my sister and others.
fans eh? the real world doesnt apply to them.
Absolutely, nor should it
Absolutely, nor should it
Hmmm.....a lot more succinct than my post and possibly making the same point :D
Has anyone heard any rumours about the new dundalk manager ? usually at this stage half the town would have known, not one bit of info has leaked from oriel this time.
We`re all horriifed the current rumour going around about Cronin could be true - cant see it - terrible manager - would be a shocking choice
Connor and Kenna still in the running - so is Gill - what a strange process they are going through - makes little sense
ANy update on Rovers ? Fenlon ?
Also whats Doolin going to do with Drogs, cant see him hanging around if as expected they are relegated

No their website said Thursday at the earliest but did expect to announce it before the end of the week, which is technically Sunday so we could be waiting as JC above suggests until tomorrow.

Thanks micls, saved me typing the same.
I just wanna point out as well that, as things stand, creditors only get money from us if we're winning things... 50% of all prize money. So they should be happy to see us strengthen the squad.

Hmm, Daisy Brennan and Doherty our centre back pairing of two years ago reunited. Both very good First Division players but Doherty is injured an awful lot. Those two plus Rutherford and Freeman if they're still with ye, a familiar look to that team!.

I'll let it slide this once Martinho but don't let me see you making the same points as me in future!!. Adam, yes saw him a few times, looks a very good player but it's hard to judge on friendlies. He has a lovely touch though which is always a help.

Yeah dohertys fairly injury prone but if he can stay fit thats a strong centre back partnership.
True it does look familiar alright:D but i dont think rutherford will be around next season:(

you must be kidding!
great winger in his day (scored one hell of a free kick againt Newcastle in the FA cup at the Valley but Alan Shearer scored one as well and it went to a replay)
has done a decent job as a coach at Charlton for the past few years, I'd be delighted to see him in the LOI - as I'm also a Charlton fan
he wouldnt be the first ex Charlton player to manage in the LOI either, Mick Flanagan, ex Waterford was a Valley favourite as well

They said on OrielWeb that he was there for his 2nd interview but why would they hold the interview in Oriel Park? They would surly have the interviews far away from Oriel/Dundalk so me thinks that someone saw someone who looked like Connor.
Would Connor not be showed around (even though there isnt much to see) after the press release?

Seen him a couple of times with LTFC and he looked decent enough. Hard to always tell with friendlies. He's still living in Longford and a friend of mine saw him out running so I'd say he's in decent shape. He's been playing for the local Sports Centre in a recent corporate 11-a-side league where's he was top scorer! He should make a good option for ye on the right wing.

Not happy with that to be fair. Although hynes didnt score enough goals, he did contribute overall.
But the rumor is Robbie Doyle is to follow. I hope this goes through, would much prefer to shout abuse at him when he is at another team than when he is at mine. The two of them didnt play much football for the last five or so games. They where obviously kept away from potentially injuring themselves before we let them go.

From what I've seen of him he's a bit like Emile Heskey in that regard. Flood could work well with him.

Along that sort of line. He worked quite hard and had plenty of assists for that other muppet.
