Id rather do it the Harps way than the Bohs way tbh.
On another note, Harps defender Marc Mukendi going to Coleraine apparently.
Dude I never said anything about going Bohs way!

The blues have just signed Stephen Grant for the rest of the season, he had a bust up with Gareth Cronin and left but Henderson has managed to get him back on board.
Great signing and hendo will get the best out of him, he's a cracking player when he wants to. With Warren back also its going to be full on now to win the 1st division.:D

Bohs brought someone back from shels the other day too
are they expecting some players to leave in the window and need these as cover or want to sell them rather than loan them and get them off their books ?

I heard that Brian McCarthys loan is up and Bohs want him back. He was an excellent player for us if thats the case and I would like to wish him the best of luck in his move back.
John Dineen has left UCD.
thought he did ok for you the few chances he got, offered something different in the middle from finn creevy bolger etc
Is he away at the Uni games at the moment?

Was in the local paper that West Brom were interested. He's contracted until the end of the season so if he moves (which i seriously doubt) we'll be due a fee.

Despite the fact that this (http://foot.ie/forums/showpost.php?p=1180191&postcount=63) was posted after this (http://foot.ie/forums/showpost.php?p=1179770&postcount=57), and you read both? :p :D
Grantie seemingly had some issues of discipline (some minor, one a bit more major) that didn't go down well with GC, he came down fairly strict.

I would be very surprised if there is anything in this Liam Burns "flyer", as he is allegedly one of the top earners at Dundalk - have Sligo come into some cash recently?
He has been reasonable rather then outstanding for Dundalk this year. No big deal if he was to leave, and a more mobile (and fit) replacement recruited.
To lose Chris Turner would be a problem. While any fee involved would be useful, Turner and Michael Daly have been excellent for Dundalk, and would be difficult to replace.

Would welcome Burns back with open arms, there seems to be an issue with the training at Dundalk or rather lack of it. Burns probably one of the best central defenders in the league when fit.

Almeda was one of our top earners and had to be released. So the money from that could pay for Burns. Apparently Liam never really wanted to leave Sligo in the first place. Id have him back in the team no probs.

If you are suggesting that Liam Burns has fitness problems - you are right on the money.
It's an interesting (if unsupported) theory that it's the training at Dundalk that is the source of the problem - and I certainly question why an experienced full time professional is obviously overweight

Same thing that is suppose to have happened at Bohs under Mr Connor. No surprise that Burns is after putting on weight, 1 year away from Connor and he had his weight under control and was one if not the best defenders in the league, what he sees in following Sean Connor everywhere I dont know

Interview with Chris Turner on dundalkfc.com might add some further insight on both of the above comments
http://dundalkfc.com/news/090630_TurnerInterview.asp
Extracts from Interview article:
Arguably Dundalk’s best and classiest performer this season, the news in the past week that midfielder Chris Turner is tied to the club until the end of the year will come as a small boost to supporters who have watched their team slide back into the relegation playoff places. And Turner, who has been recently rumoured to be the subject of interest from West Bromwich Albion, says he has no intention of going anywhere. “I’m on a one-year contract and hopefully I’ll be seeing that out,” he told the DFC Magazine this week, before stating: “Obviously, I want to play at the highest level possible but if that opportunity doesn’t arise then I’m happy to stay in Ireland.”
Confidence in Connor
Turner, who has 13 Under-21 caps and 10 Under-19 caps for the North, has now worked under Connor at three clubs and is confident that the Belfast-born boss can turn Dundalk’s fortunes around and overcome the barrage of abuse he has suffered in the past week. “Obviously Sean rates me as a player and I rate him as a manager,” Chris says. “As a footballer you just want to be playing every week, and Sean plays me. I feel as if I’ve got a good relationship with him. It’s not just for football, he’s a great man and if you have any personal problems he’ll help you out. He’s always there - any time of the day, if you need him, he’ll try his best to help you out. I think, as a manager, if you’re not winning games you’re always under a bit of pressure, but Sean has a thick enough skin to take that and, as I say, we just need a bit of luck to change and things will come good for us.”
Sean Connor: A great man.

when Burns left Bohs a lot was made of how he was unfit and overweight under Sean Connor at Bohs but once Fenlon took over he slimmed down and was the rock at the heart of our defence during the double winning season.
Now under Seanie again he has returned to being a slow, unfit, overweight, average player. I find that interesting.
Burns hasn't been great. According to Connor (who admitted that Burnsy was a bit overweight) Burns makes up for it with his positioning. Which is complete tripe, how any professional manager can be alright about one of his key players being overweight is farcical.
I have to say he was brilliant against Cork.

We're willing to listen to offers (loosely translates as Please take these off our hands) for Moran, Fremainis, Fitzpatrick and Lester.
Main reason is that apparently Kenna has a couple of players lined up to come in and we have to free wages.
I'd love Fabio to be one, but he's not one of the names I hear

Do you share in the general opinion that Moran is terrible..he seems to miss sitters any time i watch your highlights on MNS...the little ****** did score against us up in Inchicore though with nearly his 1st touch.
Can't remember Moran having too many chances to miss in fairness. One open goal v Sligo but not too many.

Derry Journal has quoted Sean Connor as having signed Scotish-born Northern Ireland u-21 international right back Michael McGowan, formerly with Clyde and Queen of the South.
No confirmation yet from dundalkfc.com, although he may have been the un-named right back who performed well in recent friendly against Distillery. Both he and another un-named goalkeeper who played that night were in Oriel Park tonight
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_McGowan_(footballer)
But Dundalk have brought two Scottish imports in to see out the season with former Ayr United striker, Alex Williams, joined by Michael McGowan, from Queen of the South.
"I'm hopeful that we will gain international clearance through the Scottish FA before the close of business on Friday, to allow both Williams and McGowan, to join the panel," said Connor last night.

Someone told me they were told it in the club shop, but if he told you that I'm sure he'd know better, I was surprised to hear it since he didn't really get much of a shot last year.
