I bow to your oh so superior knowledge
Proper order.

Just saying that footballers look at money and locality every bit as much as playing Premier Division football. He may well sign for Galway, but you'll have to fend off Fingal, which will be tough. Especially as - and I'm sure even you'll agree - it's quite likely Fingal will come up and Galway will go down next year, in which case, Premier football is with Fingal.

B&W - what transfers are confirmed for us are on the main transfers page. There's no rumours at all other than that. We're back in training, expect to lose most of last year's squad bar Gregg and Finn, but expect to keep much of the A Team champions and add the usual few scholarship players.

Alan Lynch training with Bray and will very likely be signing with them.

Interesting, first time i saw this lad playing was 2 years ago when the Futsal started up when he was with Bohs. I couldn't beleive the skill and close control this lad had, thought he looked excellent then. Any thoughts on how he has progressed over the last 2 years ?

Still a bit light really. He doesn't like tackles much but he can do some great things with the ball. Got a few goals for us last year but I don't know if he'd be up to Premier Division football. He's young though, 19 or 20 so he may develop. Wouldn't be very expensive anyway and he's a good lad by all accounts.

Ah well it was good while it lasted. Might as well pack it in now. No point in playing the games really.

i heard last night that Emeka Onwubiko ( ex bray and current under 17 international) is training with us. We also have got in a lad from plymouth ( have completely forgotten his name )and brian mccarthy and ray kenny are joining us. saw the two above lads training today..

it's hard for him to be an u17 inernational when he was born in 1989(1) and the Irish under 17's were born in 1992(2)

Out of the First Division only two seasons and you're already that snobbish about going back into it?

Join us! :p

Can Bohs afford transfer fees?

Suppose it depends on how much they get for Murphy.

Incidently I heard the same rumour yesterday - Murphy going to UK and Gregg in as replacement. Had heard that there was also a rumour on Sunday that there was some new interest in Murphy.

Nobody can confirm a club though so I dont know how true it all is.

If they sell Murphy im sure they could,
Then again Fenlon never really about clubs being able to afford players
He didnt at $hel$, wasted a sersious amount with us and at the same with bohs

Don't get me wrong I think we'll be one of 4 or 5 teams down near the bottom half but I wouldn't call us certainties to go down. Not yet anyway. Isn't there only one team automatically going down and couple of play-offs? Compared to three going straight down last season it at least gives you a chance.

Bottom one down and 8-9 in a play-off I think.

I'd say yourselves and Bray could be a bit adrift. Depends on lots of things at this stage though, obviously. Drogheda in particular.

If they sell Murphy im sure they could,
Part of the reason they'd be selling Murphy would be to pay off debts too.

i seriously doubt galway will get relegated - mid table team in my opinion.
galway are the kind of team we cant afford to lose out of the top division to be repaced by franchise sporting fingal.

Didnt realise that, still way more than the club could afford,
looks like he will be using a much more manageable budget this season.

Kudozovic to Cork City confirmed

http://corkcityfc.ie/main.php?action=newsLink&headlineID=775

Cork City are delighted to announce the signing of Fahrudin Kuduzovic.
The Bosnian-born attacker has been an outstanding performer in the League of Ireland since signing for Sligo Rovers, and subsequently also at Drogheda United. The 24-year old, who can play as a striker or on the wing, has put pen to paper on a one-year deal with the Rebel Army and joins Dan Connor as manager Paul Doolin’s second recruit from former club Drogheda United.
Speaking to CorkCityFC.ie after training with his new team mates at Bishopstown today, “Faz” said he was delighted to have signed for the club: “I’m happy to be here, there are some great players here and there is a good set-up as well. The players that are here already are fantastic and obviously Paul is looking to improve things further by bringing in a few more bodies. I’ve played under him at Drogheda previously, and I was only too happy to come down here and work with him again.”
City manager Paul Doolin said that Kuduzovic was another welcome addition, as he looks to build a competitive squad on Leeside: “We needed to add to the squad of players that we have here and Faz is a quality player who can play in a number of positions. He is also good from set pieces as well, he delivers the ball very well, so that will be an asset to us also. When he joined me at Drogheda last season, he came in during the season, whereas now he’s come in from the start and I’m very pleased to have him here.”

I wouldn't put too much store by what you read extratime.ie. They reported that Faz had signed for Cork despite being offered more by Dundalk. The facts are that Cork are paying Faz 600 to 700 a week MORE than Dundalk were prepared to go.

You really should look for your information elsewhere.

Hold on- Didn't Cork agree to that 1k a week wage cap?

Would that indicate that Cork offered 1k and Dundalk 300 a week?

Quote from Seán Connor:

"It's disappointing as he's a very good player. But we couldn't compete with Cork's offer. We offered a very good full-time deal but there was a €300 gap between what we offered in gross terms to what he accepted in net terms. So I just couldn't fit it into our budget."

Maybe but is it not strange then to compare the terms using net for one and gross for the other? Why not just say they offered x00 more than us?

You've lost me(happening quite often today). I am what of Paul Doolin? Who brought Doolin into the equation?

Im talking about what Connor said(my opinion of Doolin is a rant not worth starting). But Doolin has been given a budget decided by others. I imagine its up to him how he spends it and it'l be obvious if he made the wrong choices.

There should be a rule against it. It's ridiculous that you can go out signing new players when you still owe money to previous players and staff..
