From what I saw of him at Pats Kinsella is in no way good enough to play in England, particularly in the top flight. He couldn't impress in a poor Pats team. Didn't seem to get much game time at Dundalk either, though he may have had injuries.
Yeah, he was very poor for us. I was surprised when Dundalk signed him tbh.

I think Grimes signed for Cliftonville from Dundalk and Kinsella presumably went back to Everton.
Shaun Patton is playing for Donegal GAA team.

Waterford:McLoughlin, Whittle, RDempsey, GDelaney,
Don't know for sure, but Whittle, Dempsey and Delaney usually gravitate towards Wexford, either to WFC or to one of the better junior sides like North End. Very solid players. Delaney in particular is a really decent centreback.
McLoughlin has been very unlucky. He was back in Ireland trying to restart his career and was first choice last season until he got injured. Matt Connor came in and didn't really give any reason ever to be dropped, scuppering McLoughlin.

D o’Connor Wanted to move back up to Dublin but I’m surprised he hasn’t surfaced somewhere. He was shocking at LB for us but very decent at CB.
Crowe has signed for one of the Irish league teams
Tosi is off travelling the world again last we heard
Berki could be anywhere

Robin Dempsey and Gary Delaney were released last summer as they dropped down the pecking order when Barrett and Heaney came in. I'm pretty sure both signed for North End.
As far as I'm aware it just suited Ian McLoughlin better to return to England, he has a young family and a decent keeper like him would have little trouble picking up a similar situation closer to home.
Not heard anything about Speedy Whittle. I'd guess like Macca he just couldn't commit to the full-time training, but don't know if he's picked up with a new club yet.

McLoughlin's back is destroyed. He's doing a course to become a personal trainer. I'd imagine he's hoping to pick up a club in England in the summer, but he has to recover fully from injury first.

I hope it goes well for him. He undoubtedly has ability i'd be happy to see him back at Oriel again in the future. A good spell at Limerick and he'd have a few clubs after him again. Waterford could have done with him to help cover the season long ban for Hery et al!

Neil O'Riordan in the Sun reporting that he understands Rovers could move for 20 year old goalkeeper James Talbot in the summer when his contract expire at Sunderland
Talbot joined sixth-tier Darlington on loan in December with a view to gaining further experience but was sent off and received a three-match ban in his second appearance.
That suspension and a shoulder injury saw him return to the Stadium of Light ahead of schedule and his time on Wearside is nearly up.
Young, recently injured and prone to a red card - he should fit in well at Rovers
Lines like this though, could cause Neil O'Riordan's Tallaght Stadium press pass to be revoked
Neither Tomer Chencinski nor Kevin Horgan have convinced between the posts for the Hoops this season.

His next deal will be on a pay for play basis wherever it is.

Sadly, I think it's optimistic to think there will be a next deal. Perhaps it's for the best - whatever his troubles, being in the full glare of the media will not help him overcome them. I'd wish him a final shot at salvaging his career, but I'd wish him well above all.

When does his course finish? If it was this college year then it would make sense for him to be happy to move in July.

Gorgeous Georgie's Career path can change in a different direction at any time. As a Scholarship player he is with UCD AFC 'til the end of 2018 Season (Football). There is a three month Internship to be endured as part of his Commerce Degree course after his Finals to be sat in 2018 (Education). If the Student isn't jaded with formal education he can sign up for a Master Degree course immediately on completion of the Degree course (Education).
If he transfers to Dundalk FC from UCD AFC (Football) before the end of the 2018 season, UCD can expect Compensation. What value is the slow down of UCD's scoring and likely loss of points gained at the back end of the season?

I think HarpoJoyce has it fairly well covered there.
Georgie is a friend of a friend though, who has said he's planning to stick out the rest of this year with UCD at least. Maybe he has plans for a masters degree, or maybe it's the internship that HarpoJoyce has referred to, but what I was told was "It's just speculation. He's got a scholarship with UCD and has no interest in leaving there yet. The scholarship is handy for him and he wants to make full use of it before going to full time football"

He'd be nuts to not maximise his education all the way to masters if he could, the chances of making it in the UK is minimal (for anyone).
Being a LOI player for Dundalk or anyone unless you get picked up by the UK means a decent living and then when you hit 30ish.........thank God for the education. Besides he could be in the Premier league with UCD next year anyway...

Commerce Masters would only be one year full time. If he done that course next year, he'd still be finishing that season 22 years of age, turning 23 during the off-season the following year. He'd already potentially be playing Premier Division football with UCD.
So, leave it at a degree, sign for Dundalk, no guarantee of first team football..
Or finish the degree, push for promotion with UCD, remain the focal point of their attack, potential promotion and one year Masters, and have your full education behind you at 22 years of age and have a go at full time football then.
No brainer for me.

The is in no way inspired by any desire to see him get the hell out of the first division this year.
