Once he concentrates on his football, and is not out on the **** like his younger brother every weekend in Dundalk he can play for whoever he wants:o

He's sampled the Letterkenny nightlife on a few occasions too.
Strange he'd give up full time football and a fairly hefty wage for a job in Aldi and living in Dublin.

Paul Finnegan training with Longford last week, not expected to sign tho. As for Daire Doyle links I've been categorically told it's not happening

Roddy has convinced Stephan Walsh and Enda Curran to sign for Athlone next season. Told them both he will get promoted. He is some spoofer. He wont last another couple of months at the club

Former UCD manager signs different former UCD manager's son. Can't have happened too often, even changing to other clubs

Some Longford fans were raving about Stephen Walsh like he was the second coming. The same genius then blasted Stephen Folan, who is a far superior player to Walsh in almost every way. There was a reason why both players were shown the door by us, even if it did ruffle the feathers of a few of the parochial idiots that follow GUFC.

Walsh wasn't the worst for us, he's only lost his place in the last couple of weeks because Noel Haverty has come back from injury and been moved into centre half alongosde O'Reilly who is excellent. Curran has been poison from the get go, no loss. Both players were seen having what appeared to be an animated discussion with Fenn after the game on Friday apparently so don't be surprised if they go before next season. They travel together so if one goes I'd say the other will follow.

Curran's attitude stank the place out, he thinks he is a far better player than he is. Personally, I'd have kept Walsh as a utility player but heard he wasn't a great lad to have in the dressing room.

Ironically his biggest contribution came in possibly the most infamous LOI game of all time.

Former Bray, Limerick and Dundalk defender. Currently with Cloftonville (or at least was). I'm told he didn't inprsss in the few sessions he came down for so unlikely to sign, although if Walsh does go he could be signed as cover. Fenn doesn't seem to be the type to sign players that aren't going to start for him tho.

You could be right. Mind you, Athlone may not last another couple of months!

I think Finnegan trained with us one pre-season but he never signed or played for us.

Is Sander Puri gone from Waterford? Nope, he got injured after just a couple of games. Had surgery on his ankle (I think). He is expected to be back relatively soon.

Hasn't he been injured for the whole season so far? He has unfortunately.

Enda Curran, Stephen Walsh and Mark Langtry have all left LTFC. Presume the Galway lads are off to Athlone as rumoured, maybe Langtry is as well or maybe he's off to Hollywood.

As right as you may be, there isnt too many who would care anymore. I personally, havent been to a home game since may 2016, having went to every home game for god knows how many years and majority of away games bar one or 2 a season.
Sad state of affairs but to be honest the best thing that could happen at the moment is the club fold. Then we can start building again and get the fans in control of a new club.
The people of the town will NEVER go back while the current administration is there. Its as simple as that. And Roddy is a fool to think differently. He is there to throw a positive spin on everything because the club knows the papers will print whatever rubbish he spews out.

Mikey Drennan had agreed to sign for Waterford last winter but was dragging his heels for ages so we decided against it. Very good player - got to the junior cup final with Evergreen - but has had his problems. Would be nice to see him back playing at a high level.

Would be a great signing. Keegan says initial approach has been made but he's not pushing anything, says if Drennan feels he is ready to return to the league, there is a welcome for him here out West

Drennan is from Kilkenny, think Keegan was involved in Carlow/Kilkenny schoolboy set-up some years back (Keegan is from Laois) so I presume that's the connection

Which one? Both are true afaik, John Kavanagh was announced on both Ramblers and City's Twitter accounts, some US college announced the pending arrival of Whelan. Big loss that lad and the third or fourth that we've lost to the u.s in the last couple of years.

He is ya. Playing at a decent standard over with an NCAA college should improve him.

Not too sure I'd be happy to see that one go through if I'm honest.

Yeah but Dundalk made something out of that situation. It makes less sense why Brighton would move a loan player so Sligo can sign someone else. Surely if Sligo don't want him Brighton would just say OK and find him a club in England instead and Galway would tell them to go whistle.
