Goal should have stood but it would have been horrid unlucky. Double deflection onto an unmarked player 6 yards out.

Very good half from Dundalk.

More than holding their own at this level. It's been a very enjoyable game to watch so far.

Very detailed stats on UEFA.com. Possession more or less even. Passes complete 85% for each side, with 195 completed passes for Dundalk. They could teach Ireland a thing or two in that area. Well in this game.

Out to the edge of the 18 yard box? Ridiculous.

I hope the chap who scored is ok.

Again Rogers costing Dundalk. Shouldn't be near the national team.

God that was horrible. Hopefully the fella was just badly concussed, can't imagine the game would have restarted if there was serious concern he wasn't going to be ok.

Is Rogers not a bit lucky to be still on the pitch after that?

Battiston mark II.

Daft goalkeeping either way.

3-0 Maccabi

Maccabi 3 nil up now. Surprised by that score. Be great if Dundalk could get a point.

Do Dundalk have Zenit in Tallaght next? Could be a good time to play them.

Horrendous from O'Donnell.

For such a tidy player he's inclined to make some god awful tackles. Keeping the score down to 1 or 2 looks like the only hope now.

Whoo-hoo !!!!!

Retro phone line action!

I'm honestly surprised he doesn't get sent off more, he tends to pick up yellows early on and refs give him a lot of leeway in the league.

Feyernoord 1-0 Man Utd. These Dutch teams can play anyway.

Rogers is such a drastic liability. They should have really pushed Brian Murphy to sign for them

Deserved equaliser on overall balance I think.

And Dundalk fans wanted him nowhere near the team after last week.

4-3 zenit! !

Great stuff from Dundalk. Fantastic result. It looked all up for them when they went down to 10 men. Showed great character.

How was ķiller booked when he slipped?!

Also wonder what Sava does be thinking watching Rogers. A couple of good saves, but a liability overall. And he's the one in the ireland squad?

Great result though - more so because it was deserved. The Alkmaar manager looked furious.

Fair play to them. I though their chance had gone with the red card, but they stuck at it.

What a night to be a Dundalk fan, especially for lads who've been following the team for donkey's years.

Credit to AZ for raising their game to compete at this level and nearly keeping the game out of Dundalk's reach.

How was ķiller booked when he slipped?!

Aye, fairly ridiculous.

We'll say nowt about the 'offside' goal, but I actually thought Dundalk were pretty poor in the second half. AZ were more aggressive and energetic after HT, which you'd expect, but thought Dundalk dropped their game plan at that point.
Dreadful stuff from Rogers and O'Donnell. Rogers could easily have went for that punch, not that he should have went for it anyway.
AZ backing off after the goal allowed Dundalk back into it. They really should have pushed on for the second and they'll be kicking themselves about that.

Great effort to keep going though, and Dundalk deserved the point. It was obvious come the 80th minute that a fair few of the Dundalk players were knackered, Horgan especially. He did an awful lot of chasing all game.
Bit of a rest for the players until Tuesday, but you can tell that fatigue is likely to be an issue over the next two months.

Ya Dundalk were knackered toward the end, rode their luck but showed a level of professionalism that no other LOI has in Europe, if you asked this morning I would have said they would get at no point from that group.

geysir

Ultimately Kilduff's header turned it into 9/10 star performance.
AZ were poor in the 2nd half, considering the onus was on them to win the game and after they scored their game went to free style.
Awful defending from them for Dundalk's goal, Kilduff was being mauled.
Hard to credit AZ are representing the dutch league but this is modern Dutch football, this is where Ron Vlaar crawled to, I thought he had gone missing, a la Lord Lucan.
Dundalk should be well able to beat them in the "home" game.
