Not all Refs swap over every year. There are so many Grade A & B Refs etc required for each league. And not all the good Refs go MSL or viceversa. It's luck of draw. Who did Ref the game?i know him and i tell you this it was news to me that he was a top ref he didnt give me the impression he was even into football. i know him to see around here and he,s an ok guy he got lost in that game .lets be fair clonmel are some outfit but it was him who costed killunmey.hubba i see bubbles on the echo he has all the looks of a guy on the move .told you he was coachford through and through you need a kango hammer to get him out from there .he gave me one game in the summer and told me stright up.

Can hardly blame the players for not wanting to play for a manager who's a m่ f่iner..ex glen manager be perfect replacement and from what I hear is bursting to get back into management

Hubba you are a strange guy. What's your beef with the glen & Zico? I can honestly say from first hand experience that he's one of the best managers around. He gets that extra 10% out of every player and any player that has ever played under him would back him to the hilt. He will be around for years to come and will be winning trophies long after you've hung up your boots.

X Glen manager would be perfect for that job . With 2 weeks left in the transfer market I reckon he'd be the man know's a lot of players etc also has proven track record .

lets say i was one of the players who should off been training but never went work commitments...chief that job would be to big for 1forteam when push came to shove with the glen he jacked it in he knew he couldnt compete in prem a so he left also a glen celtic player told me that himself the lad who told me was one of the best keepers in cork when he was 16-21your one dangerous guy. i wish the glen well and dont have a prob i could say a lot to but its only football and no one is dead :D.you dont have a clue.couldnt compete i though we would win it and still think they will with the players thats there the lad your talking about is a bit more straight up then you make him out on here i agree he is a top class keeper.

Not sure if there are many Killumney connections on here. If so Clonmel Celtic very much appreciate the hospitality afforded to them after the game last Sunday. A lovely meal and well looked after. Best of luck for the rest of the season, will be keeping a lookout to see how ye do in the Cork AUL and Munster. Cheers until we meet again.

sorry not meant as a cheap shot, great achievement for any team to get out of cork but when you get a hammering like that im sure it takes away some of the gloss from it.im sure the players would admit that but in saying that not many third division teams have ever gone that far so credit for that.....is it clnmel celtic or clonmel town that are one of the favs for the fai/mjc or are both of them as strong as each other?they did their best is all we are saying well done to the glen lads cup final to come its looking like a good season.on the reberto post killumney are a fantastic club great manager, team and all involved love the game gave their all came up short with help of ref.what a super team clonmel are it was the best game i seen in a long time.

Clonmel Town were knocked out of the Munster Junior Cup. As for the FAI the last time I saw the odds Celtic were 12/1 and Town 28/1. Celtic PRO was on Tipp radio last night and was full of praise for Killumney.

Never nice to hear this. Dissapointing season for them so far and I think Blarney Street will need someone with a bit of experience to steady the ship.
I saw them a while back and thought fitness was a bit of an issue with them and the Christmas break dosen't help with this (for all teams). Important they get the right person as the last thing they need is an exodus of players aswell.

I'm from Carrick and was at the Glen game on Saturday, despite the pitch being in terrible nick you tried to play the right way and were a credit to your club a 3rd div side in Waterford would never get to the out of town stages. The facilty other the field is top notch and the grub in the pub afterwards was much apprieciated. Best of luck in the future

Big loss to Greenwood. Should make Kilumney even stronger. Nice guy, genuine whole hearted guy who will always give 100%. While here - best wishes and best of luck to Pearse , our local rivals, in the next round of FAI. Do Togher and Cork proud. Good luck lads.

Just to let you know, Clonmel Celtic are aware Killumney used an illegible player last Sunday. It's astounding to think they would get away with it. It was a good game with a good Killumney side very nearly winning it and the as I said before the hospitality afterwards was second to none. However the whole occasion has been tarnished by Killumney trying to cheat. Whoever made that dumb decision owes your club an explanation and an apology.

Dave didn't play in that comp with knockavilla so he is perfectly legal unless their is new rules with new players not playing for couple weeks..

Players have to be registered for 14 days prior to playing in a cup game - so if he wasn't cup tied and was registered in time there should not have been an issue...

That could be major trouble for killumney if he's not signed properly but knowing the lads they prob have all t s crossed and I s dotted :) I don't think they would purposely do it.

I'm not 100% sure but I think this player played his last game for Knockavilla on 1st Dec (a Saturday) which would mean the earliest he could have transferred was the 3rd Dec which would not give the 14 days required before the Clonmel game on the 16th. Maybe Oldlegs could confirm?
If he was played illegally I would think a small fine for Killumney will be as much as they will face from the powers that be. Whether that's right or wrong is open to debate...

'lots being put in to your clubs and players', 'hard for junior teams to compete with your teams' , wtf does that mean? Cheat is a strong word but what would you call it i.e. playing someone when you know he's not eligible?

I'm not sure what makes a junior team or a senior team but I do know what makes an amature team ands thats not paying players.
This is the biggest cheat in Jnr football ( probably senior aswell ) at the moment.

We've dragged this out a bit so I'll make a final couple of points and then I'll clear off:

1) I used the word cheat because it is appropiate in these circumstances.
2) If we had lost and I had come on here complaining about an illegal player some would have accused me of sour grapes which is why I came on after winning. I'm just making the point that our club was made aware of a player who wasn't eligible. We have no intention of doing anymore as there would be no gain but maybe for the good of the game all teams will apply the rules.

As for Bobblepark's comment I totally agree with you and I am assuming your comment about payment of players/managers is not aimed at Clonmel Celtic.

Good luck and enjoy your Christmas

Great point bobble park!! Clubs that pay 6 or 7 players to play amateur football are the biggest cheats in Junior and Senior football!!
