Hopefully old legs the weather stays the same as this morning and rain holds off some interesting games this weekend. With coachford missing Lucy and another 2 defenders what way will they line up against Douglas hall.. Castleview and knockavilla will be another game worth going to watch if Castleview have their youths they will give anybody a run for their money... My game of week is Glen Celtic and innishvilla this will tell you who is going to win prem a title in my opinion didn't see Glen Celtic play all year went and watched innishvilla in fai cup taught they should off won but all about taking your chances I suppose.. Killumney will surely stuff greenmount will they lads.

What other 2 defenders are missing? Lucy will just miss the next round of the Munster junior no? Coachford should still be too strong for Douglas. Glen and Innish should be a great game if it goes ahead.

How did aul team do on wednesday ?

The Boar
24/01/2013, 10:48 PM
Well lads a lot of guessing about teams for league titles there is really a fair way to go yet and ye are being very unfair to some teams, their managers and players any team can perform to the best of their ability on any given day or during any match just the same as they can have off days and bad games so guess we will just have to wait and see what happens and how it plays out, and try not build up some teams on here more than others really not what this forum should be about, I like to see more encouragement of teams on here than knocking, wonder if people might be able to manage that

Lead the way Boar I try to get to as many matchs as I can but to be honest I kinda stay around the prem and prem A so outside of that I wouldn't have much knowledge to be honest bar reading echo and so forth . 4 teams being talked about in prem as winners and 4 or 5 in prem A being talked about so that's an even enough spread in all honesty and most posters here are involved with clubs so they tend to talk about there own clubs and you can't give out to them for that . Be nice to have a lot more posters here from some more clubs .

Aul team lost 4-3 to City U19s. Wont be much football over the weekend i say lads,Sharpshooter do Macroom have two pitches that they use?

The Boar
25/01/2013, 1:00 PM
It's one thing talking about your own team on here and we all know we are going to do that because it is human nature, but if everyone praises just 4 or 5 clubs all the time and everyone keeps saying only they count then they are going to get cocky and think all they have to do is show up at a match and the points are theirs and we all know what can happen then and I for one would not like to see that happen in the leagues. I don't like other teams being written off there are other good games out there at weekends too, and yes some teams are struggling especially at the lower divisions but really I would like to see the AUL tackle the lower divisions and not just concentrate on the top divisions they are all part of the league and without them there wouldn't be a league remember all the clubs started at the bottom once and worked their way to the top.

They have the one on the way into the town and then the one by the pitch and putt course, not sure when they last used the one at the start of the town it's just as you go in at the start of the town on the right down the side off the main street.

They use the one at the start of the town(Murrays field) now it has been done up with 4years and prob the nicest pitch in the Aul.the one by the pitch n putt is used by the 2nd team and is prob under water now as its next to the river.

I would fancy the AUL to beat Clare well challenge. Game Wednesday night against rockmount seniors that will be a test or us..but with darran lynch on form AUL capable of beating anyone.any idea if innishvilla games on today lads I see pike won 8-0 2weeks ago I'm sure coach ford won't fancy playing them..I saw some interesting people out watching blarney st game yesterday..I wander will zicorossi(1for) be getting managers jobs next season big club like blarney st taught they would get a better manager after Eddie doing so well last two seasons

Haha you really are some clown. Darren probably is having one of his worse seasons in front of goal. 1 minute you praise Eddie the next you slate him. 1for would be a great choice for blarney street. Would bring in players + get team playing the right way. With your vast football knowledge would you not apply?

A good job really bubba nowhere in the title shake up a huge turnover in players eddie did a good job keeping ye in the league with the support he got would the street be considered bigclub if wilton kinsale and leeside were still in the league bud

You're well informed as always Hubba. I'll tell my Lads at Leeside (Seniors) not to bother showing up now to Moneyvourney on Wednesday night where we were scheduled to play our game against the AUL team..... You saved me the drive up from west Cork much appreciated....

That be a good game I might go watch that.Haven't seen Leeside yet since they left aul . Kinda mixed results in msl so be nice to see have they kicked on from last season . Which was poor by their high standards

A lot of rebuilding done over the close season oldlegs. Different ethos and different approach to the game with a more technical emphasis. Squad very young with one or two old heads still present who remain the core and backbone of Leeside. I agree results have been mixed for sure but the division itself is a strange one alright. Not a lot between many of the teams with teams continuously taking points of each other. Today a fine example with Casement (bottom) convinicingly beating Mallow (second). Not much of a difference in terms of standard at all from premier aul but vast improvement in facilities ,organisation and experience with chances to play in intermediate etc and host clubs like Avondale in the senior cup. Sure to be a cold one in Moneyvourney one Wednesday. Make sure you pop over to the line for a cup of tea..... Identity and discretion assured
