Park missing a few tonight.... Keeper dropped everything but his pants. Grattan well worth their 2 goal lead at the interval. Second half Park came into the game more but they were visibly tired and they could still be there and they would not score. Grattan defended brilliantly and caught them on the break a few times. Shame the AUL decided in their wisdom to play such an important game so soon after the cup final. dont know if park were short anyone tonight bein honest and also i heard off a good source that they got there game against glenthorn put on next sunday instead of saturday when the usally play because some of there team playing championship football with michesltown. Deal made with the aul last week. whats yer view on that one! Huh!

They hardly over exerted themselves in the final.knew they had this game and if went on the lash its pure stupidity and against a team like Grattan that are full of players with senior experience and senior mentality they got what they deserved

its amateur junior football not the premiership or la liga, course lads are going to have a few drinks and celebrate an AOH cup final victory, as the saying go,s ''you cant win them all'' !! fair play to grattan , they went down to park and got the job done !!!

Lads stop and think now grattan are the best team all year that's why there going to win it. All they need is a point against kilreen . The way things are going grattan will get a walk over kilreen can't even get 11 players I hear.. Fair play grattan.

You're on the money there, 99% of the time the best team wins out, and I think Grattan deserve that. Glenthorn deserve enormous respect for the season they've had, it's a fantastic achievement. No point necessary, if Park win or draw Sunday with Glenthorn its over...

Agreed. Their backline is the best in the league for me. Been saying it awhile now Harry Goulding is possibly the best defender in the AUL. The likes of him, Shinky, Greg and Brian Sull are tried and tested. Park and Glenthorn are two fabulous sides, to finish above them is great going. And to a lesser extent Kilreen, who I think we can agree disappointed in the league this year..

Well the test came to grattan and they took that test and went out to win it and they did it. To be fair now park had two days of hard drinking after the final so It was never going to look like park would of winning a draw they would of being happy with.

That AOH final was very tough too watch. The elite competition in our league been such a one sided affair isnt good for the league as a whole, Well done too Grattan on the big result they got last night aswell,

I second that. They've busted their balls this year to field a team, from Paul to Pa and all the players involved. Best of luck both sides.

What did Paul do for the A team, fair play that he took on the job for the C team but he did nothing for the club he punished his players for*helping the club fill the A team its part of the reason he left because his players were there for the club not just his team Its Pa puts in all the work with a hand from Liam, Paul has left

Im only going off what I was told when I spoke with Paul the last time we played one another, obviously I was only getting one Side or one part of the story. Which tends to happen quite a bit in the AUL.

Game of slogs maybe you can help me on this seeing as long-ball is on the bold step for awhile, why didn't the Glen B team go up as the A team? Howcome it was the C team players?? I've gotten so many answers on this I'd like to try get a straight and honest one for once. Like, Gary Nolan is arguably the best striker in the AUL - arguably - so why weren't they up there???

Like, Gary Nolan is arguably the best striker in the AUL - arguably - so why weren't they up there??? from what I hear a lot its sounds like he thinks he's not good enough I wouldn't argue with you on that he is a great striker I think Gary just wants to stick with his mates. And the other point I've seen a few B team players help out like the Nolan brothers once or twice and have been great up in that level I'm pretty sure their B team players want the A team to be relegated and that's why they won't play. The fact that Pa had to sign for the A team and not be available for the final shows how little the B team helped him out

Gary is hands down good enough for that level, he'd step into almost any premier side. I watched himself and Robbie Helay last week up in Knocka and I couldnt get over it how they weren't up premier - and there was at least another 5 on display who could step up seamlessly.

The B team want the A team relegated??? Surely that's not the case?

The B team want the A team relegated??? Surely that's not the case? i agree totally he is and they do have a couple of others but most of them nearly help out the A team. Apparently the B team will be the A team next year so most their players won't help because they want them to go premier A that's just my thought about it anyway from stuff I've seen and heard. You'd have to ask the players yourself to see why it is they won't help out

Glen Celtic as a club ought to be ashamed of themselves, I'll be the first to say it, but that team will not compete in premier a next year it's the last you'll see of them.

How can the B team players not step up its a disgrace, to me it looks like the club is divided.

Well done killumney hopefully they can rebuild into the force they have been over the past 5 or 6 years.
