Did the Dept lift the charge on the ground, or did the conditions attached to the a\c the money was in change? Not fishing or anything, genuinely interested.

'We would like to thank Bohemian FC and the FAI; Bohemians President Robert Dunne, the club's General Manager John Doran and in particular club Treasurer Chris Brien, FAI Chief Executive John Delaney and League Director Fran Gavin.

Only in the LOI do people embark on a victory speech/ lap of honour when players are paid money they've been owed for months!

Have the cheques cleared yet by the way? :mean:

Highly unlikely the loan conditions changed. Very small chance it was all paid off from fundraising, setanta moey and last nights friendly.

So was this 'we can't pay the players because of the Govt' thing another spoof all along?

So was this 'we can't pay the players because of the Govt' thing another spoof all along?

The article at the time said the "final payment" hadn't been made. Since then we've had the gig at the Olympia and a friendly against Longford. Complete speculation on my part that the loan still hasn't come through.

Believe me Stu, I'm just over the moon with delight.

to answer your earlier question, it is in todays Herald that the Department sent the required letter lifting the charge and so the monies were released. If youi have any further questions on this matter, please write a letter to your local TD.

Did the bohs night sell out?

Regarding the Night at the Olympia - I wasnt there obviously but have been told by the organisers that it was a sell out but i also read there were a couple of empty seats. Those seats were paid for though which is the main thing.

I think Ardal O'Hanlon pulled out a few weeks ago. The night itself was supposed to have been fantastic, Royseven and Owen Colleary getting particularly good reviews from the lads who were there.

Does this mean that Bohs fans will finally grasp the concept of a sell out vs a full house? Bohs fans seemed to have great difficulty with this concept when we had the sold out signs in Tallaght before the east stand was built yet there were always a few empty seats in the ground.

Thats a no btw, they are in no way solely to blame for the catastrophical way the club has been run in the last 10 years and at no point in the last 10 years have we only had 2 directors.

The plan seems to have been to cut the wage bill by 75% or so from 1m to 250k, looking at the below that looks about right.

The board have not discussed the budget with the media, these figures come from Fenlon who has no reason to lie and no history of doing so even going back to Shels from what I remember.

actually we got rid of our "old board" long ago. Despite the nonsence often posted on here the two Gerrys are long gone from the board. Unlike Cork, however, we didnt wait until the club went out of business to make the necessary changes

You forgot to mention the stupid part where you got rid of the two Gerrys and then voted in another set of clowns who once again gambled on getting through a round in europe and led you into the mess you have found yourself in the last few months.

Really?

I helped Glenville on their stiles for the Cup game last year and got by chance to see the official guestlist submitted by Bohs ...

Have a guess who was on it?

If these people are gone off the scene, why were Bohs still affording them VIP treatment?

Not sure what VIP treatment they were accorded but hardly unusual to have former officials/players etc on a "free " list for matches. You might be surprised to know this is quite common at most LOI clubs.
I can assure you neither Gerry has a role on the current Bohs board irrespective of whether they pay into matches or not.

you can thank the examiner for giving tommy the club. oh and we did everythign possible to save the club, to keep the debt etc

In fact I reckon if we hadn't applied for the First Division license as a safety net, the FAI would have given us a premier license for CCIFL
