Thanks; updated. Have put Bray v Bohs in as 1100 as the lower of the estimates, but at least Bray Head has confirmed (as much as he can!) that it's in and around that mark.

Ohhh, ark at you!
I find it hard to estimate crowds in UP now with the seats in. Defo a bit less than 1,000 anyway. Tho thats not a surprise anymore these days :-(
Happy now?
"Just over 1750" at Harps Derry. 850 on away side. That's official.

I was looking at their avg est on this at just under 1,000 and was thinking that cant be right. I know a few who go to their home games and they said crowds are no where near this. Last night v Bray should be interesting.
Overall and across the league crowds appear to be on the slide, or is this just a blip during August ?
I know our crowds are well down from the 2,500 series one avg. Hopefully the less congested fixture list and a upturn in form can see us improve on this for the remainder of the season.

Good crowd in Dalymount if thats true.
2,800 was the official attendance at Dalymount last night, good but 1,000 and a bit less than Bohs v Villa :(

maybe 200 in Salthill tonight. Mostly City fans at that

Would say 200 is a slight over-estimate, 150 tops methinks. Also, no idea how Salthill get away with using that as a home venue, it's ridiculous... just a field!
And one small cubicle in the entire ground.. heaven forbid more than a hundred or two showed up at a game.
Surely in breach of licensing criteria.

The high figure is down to the fact Rovers brought plenty of away support. Disappointing turnout from the home support though. Hopefully it will improve again when we get back to fridays. Not having won a game at home since may doesnt help either I suppose.

There was roughly 750-800 Rovers fans and about 250 max in the main stand so the attendence of 1443 announced was utter horse$hit.
on a side note- how much are finglas paying kirby. great player to have in your side.
fingal are a good side to watch. Rovers are not as attractive to watch shall we say.

Our home support was not good on the day thats true but not quite that bad.
So by your estimate you are saying our stand was only a quarter full or so. Really?
Id agree with you on the Rovers crowd though. Great support tbf and a little wet :p.

Ha this is so funny.
The main stand holds 800, it wasnt exacly full i wouldve thought 750 maybe, there wasnt that much empty seats not that i counted but wouldnt have been more than 50-100. When Rovers scored there was maybe 50 (max) who stood up and cheered... so unless there were alot of rovers fans staying quiet that leaves fingal with 700 or so....
The only reason i doubted the 1492 figure was because i didnt know how many rovers brought, i couldnt see and my guesstimate wouldve been less than 700.
But it mustve been, 750 plus 700+ = 1450+.

Aertel giving 1500 as the attendence for Bray-Shels. That seems a bit on the high side for me. Any Bray fans have a better estimate? I'm not too familiar with The Carlisle Grounds.

Extratime has the same figure as an 'unofficial estimate', which is perhaps different from an 'official estimate'? An estimate we should be more sceptical of?

That's probably about right. Under 12s were admitted free, so there were a lot of families there. And Shels brought a good crowd also.

So more fans than went to Santry then...
Does Morton's main stand really hold 800? Only for some reason I thought it was far less than that (about the 400 mark). Didn't look too closely mind, so not trying to say 800 is wrong. just surprised me.

I'd trust the judgement of the FAI or the Evening Herald before I'd trust the judgment of one of the "reporters" on Extratime.ie
There was maybe 1,000 there tops yesterday. The Shels fans didn't even half fill their side while the Bray fans were about the same in their stand.

Nah. There wasnt 750 in the stand. About 500. The stand was over half full by my estimate from looking at it on mns.
Just to answer Dodge. The stand for the away fans would hold a lot more than 800. Not sure exactly how much but at a guess id say between 1500 and 2000. Im sure someone else might know the exact figure

At least two of those 50 were Rovers board members, who, as we all know, are real fans. I'm surprised they were not over the far side with the other real fans.
