Nope, just a wooden fence around the pitch, spectators standing on grass.

The segregation was a steward ordering all away fans down one side of the pitch.I assumed that they'd have had to do something with it to get a licence. They had a maximum capacity of something like 500 for our cup game there a few years ago, is that still the case I wonder. It could be a problem when Shels or Derry visit.

The BBC also had the same figure!!!

Actual attendance was 2,730.

Most Derry fans were amazed how large it was and a massive crowd from Cork was up.They almost filled section A which holds 240.

Congestion at the ticket booths even after the game had started.

Some City supporters were saying they did'nt get into the ground until 10 mins after kick off.

About 350 at Town v Harps, with a sizable Harps contingent.
Extratime has 600 approx

Nowhere near 600 at it unfortunately.

Some City supporters were saying they did'nt get into the ground until 10 mins after kick off.

As some Derry supporters didn't either.

I changed those figures to the official figure released which was 2,779.

For safety reasons cash was taken at the turnstiles to avoid the congestion after the game had kicked off.It maybe should have been delayed for ten mins.

Still was a great problem to have.

One UCD fan thought they outnumbered the Droggies!
Who thought that?

We had about 30 there.

I suppose, one of the biggest gates of all the LOI games over the weekend. Hopefully we'll get a decent crowd for the Waterford game on Friday also .

1400's too high for Drogheda v UCD. Everyone on here who was at the game seems agreed on roughly 1000.

Don't see why we can't take Pat's v Galway as 1558 official; too random a number to make up.

I'll post a first proper update later when I get the comparative figures together off last year's thread.

The Pats figure isn't official. No idea how they picked that figure at random. The estimates here are about right.

The official figure from Richmond seems to me to be more accurate than some of the guesses here. It was one of the lower attendances I've seen there for a match involving Galway United.

Around 200 tonight at the Shelbourne V Sporting Fingal friendly benefit match.

So, basically, in the 1st weekend about 10500 attended PremDiv & about 5500 went to Div1 games
16000ish all together.

Obv the 1st div is going to be higher than usual this year (a good thing IMO), but how does that total of 16k compare with last year's 1st weekend?

OK, I went & checked for myself - 2009 1st weekend approx figures:
Prem: 14,700
D1: 3,520
Total: 18,220

Can't draw any conclusions from that yet

I thought there was at least 400..there was about 150 in the side close to the corner flag and easily 300 around the half way line...definatly biggest crowd we brought to Bray in years...maybe a Bray fan can give his view

I would have said about 300 myself looking over, over all attendance was no more than 1100 at tops

Pat's site (http://www.stpatsfc.com/attendances.php?id=80&comp=league) has updated for the entire of last season - average of 1631 compared to 1721 on here - so I'll go with 1700 for the Galway game for the moment and keep an eye on the Pat's site for an update.

There is no boycott from shamrock rovers fans for this site.
As for attendances,i was amazed at the amount of people posting last friday night, giving updates on their team's scores.
Are people not bothering their arses to go to matches.no wonder the attendances are so small?
