You're right, the east stand does hold 2,700. The main stand however does not hold 3,300. 6,000 is a rounded up figure.

It wasn't too long ago that Dundalk were in the dumps and people were looking down on us, so slagging off rival clubs for their backing etc is not going to generate great sympathy if we go belly up in the morning. Karma's a pain, so a little respect and eagerness to run other clubs down is not going to help. From reports it was 50-50 in terms of fans at the game.

There was no way we had 800 there. It did look like we had more than Fingal though but it's hard to judge unless you can see both sides.

About 10/15 minutes into the game I counted the main stand which had around 320 give or take a few. Im sure if filled up by a few bodies after this but I honestly didnt think by much in the second half, and About 50/60 not in the stand max!

Suprised to see a figure of over 1'000 because we did not have 700. Does that figure include VIP's, ballboys? Or is it just ticket stubs on the night?

The commentator remarked about the sparsely crowd in the main stand. Doubt if there was 1000 at it.

Let me get this right as I'm new to the forum. You go to a game and count all the people in a stand, all three hundred and twenty people.

The stand was at least half full I'd have thought.well watch it again because if the half way line is any indication of the half way point in the Jodi then it was no where near half full, not even the singing section was full but if somebody could post a pic up Im sure Dodge will count them for you.

Yeah and I counted 28 Blues fans. I really thought Monaghan would get at least three or four hundred given their recent form. Great place to watch a game as always - couple of beers, a Mon Dog, friendly staff, beautiful weather.

Relax will ye. I said 500 +. As a guesstimate. Its quite possible there where up to 600 at a push. Id say about 500 fingal.
Are you telling me there was 800 Dundalk? I know the lure of standing in the cold of morton that mighty footballing arena and playing the mighty Fingal with all there history and pedigree is a lure for most teams but are you really telling me you brought your biggest away crowd to Morton? Similar to what Shamrock Rvs brought? I dont think so. Iv seen 800 in that stand and Dundalk didnt have that many.

We defo had more fans there than your lot, it didnt look as many cause we where spread out all over the place but the paper today gave a figure of 800 for the game in total!

There were at least a 100 Dundalk fans in the seated stand. I had my young sons with me, so I thought I'd give them a bit of shelter.

It doesnt really matter, no points or prizes handed out for who has the most fans at a game. Its like someone trying to get a moral victory by claiming to have more fans than the other. All that counts is the official attendance .

which is ludacris, about 500, 550 max of us up there. The stand was half empty or half full whatever way you wana view it but I'd be more enclined to go with the Star's attendance of 800 at the game as it was fairly empty overall. It was mentioned in another thread that Fingal's fanbase had grown from the last time we played in Morton Stadium but in all fairness there was more there the last time than this time around. BTW is that figure of 1109 an official SFFC figure given?

It had up until that game. I was pretty disapointed with the turnout tbh. (not from yous of course) The stars guesstimate seems a little low to me. If there was between 5 and 600 hundred Dundalk then there was no way there was only 2 to 300 fingal, which if we go by you and the star then thats what you are saying there was. Anyway enough time has been taken up over this so ill leave it there.

I'll take your word for it, I was sitting in the main stand so I couldn't really see.
More like 750 in total so.
Poor showing but when you roll over in the first leg like we did and leave yourself nothing to play for you can't expect much more.
Pats brought a good crowd alright.

I think I saw 5,200 in The Irish Times.

Maybe this has been covered before but is there a reason that Rovers don't give official attendances, considering they probably have the highest average in the league?

It's curious it's more First Division clubs who give official attendances. Only official figures in the Premier are UCD, Fingal, Galway and Dundalk (and Dundalk not all the time). By contrast, only Longford, Mervue, Monaghan, Salthill and Wexford in the First don't give official figures, and Wexford did up until last year. So 40% of the Premier v 60% of the First give official figures. So it's not just a Rovers thing.

250 at most at Youths vs. Derry. Considering they're the biggest visitors of the seasons, that's really awful for us. I'd say around half were Derry fans, really brilliant supporters. The Conga almost made up for the scoreline! We really definitely have to move the games back to Friday nights..

That's a disgrace after Galway's great victory at Bohs.

With obviously no money on the night from season-ticket holders would they have had enough money to pay the 4 match officials??
