Irish Times reported it as 1,000. Can`t have been more than 400 non Bohs fans at the game and that includes the approx 40 Gardai "on duty" in the ground.
Official Sporting Fingal attendance: 206

700-800 in Drogheda maybe. Definitely looked a good bit smaller than the league game.

I would guess 240-250 at Galway against Malahide, really bad for a beautiful evening and with a few decent players on show

Along with the Harps attendance, this is shocking!

Ooh I wouldn't even say that there was that many at Tallaght tonight. I'd say 1500 absolute maximum.

so would it be fair to say attendences were way down for most if not all games?
Is this usual or what happened....theres nothing else happening (well the irish barbarian game) weather in dublin was fine and yet 200+ at sporting fingal (when theyve been averaging 1000)

Didnt seem like that much but cant really fault the maths.
But no way was there 50 Athlone fans, more like 25.
Was very dissapointed with the crowd they brought, was expecting more.

FAI are insistent on freebies being confined to themselves for the cup games given that they get a cut of the gate. Pretty shocking (and depressing) crowds in Galway and Fingal .

Yeah, that and season tickets not being valid doesn't help.

But does help on the "real" figures - like gate receipts!!!
Pineapple or anyone else know if cup games are counted in the attendance averages? Just interested.

My father and I walked all around the west stand, saw about 20 Youths fans there (may have been more and I didn't recognise them though). There was about 15 of us sitting together at the away end, a few sitting in the reserved section, and then a couple more scattered around the stand by themselves...There could have been more Youths fans in the other stand, I wouldn't have seen them!

Does the south africa-mexico match kick off at 8 ? If so the weekends attendances may be down a bit.

South Africa v Mexico is at 3.00 on Friday.
U R Gay v France is at 7.30 that evening.
And yes that U R Gay remark is in reference to your post in the "Say anything" thread here. (http://foot.ie/threads/99286-The-say-anything-what-s-on-your-mind-thread?p=1366102&viewfull=1#post1366102)

There are no games this weekend. There's a two week break to allow players book holidays and avoid clashing with World Cup games.

I reckon 200 max. About the same from UCD.
I'd say only about 950 at Pat's-Bray.
Pretty Generous IMO. Looked about 500 with 5 minutes to kick off. Filled up a little in fairness.
Bizarrely felt like an end of season game too.
EDIT; Official attendnace of 1009

394 official per extratime (although I had heard no official attendance was given to the press box, but that looks about right).
That's the first round of nine games played for us, with only two Friday games. Would drive you mad.

Dreadfully low crowd in the RSC last night. Be very suprised if it was more than 300. What ever about midweek games in the Premier Division. They just do not work for the FD

Reported as 1500. Thats a thousand less then what could be otherwise expected on a Friday, rather the a Tuesday of exams week. That is about €10k - €12k in lost revenue. Remind me again how a shorter season saves clubs money?
