Didn't Bobby Ryan sign for Drogs? Stephen Maher was linked with Mons don't know what happened there.
Conor O'Grady is signing back for Sligo and Davy McDaid re-signed with Derry. Don't know about the others.

Maybe Ryan did sign, he's on the last update on the PFAI list which was Feb 15th so maybe he's joined since then

Conor Sinnott still floating around?
Seems like it. He didn't have the best season last year but still thought he would have resigned with Waterford or even Wexford.

That's an understatement, to say the least. That said, I too thought he would have picked up another club. He's talented, no doubt about that.

Pats Web announce:
St Patrick's Athletic have confirmed the signing of Dean Kelly ahead of the 2012 season.
The former Shamrock Rovers striker was a League winner for the Tallaght side last year, scoring a vital goal against UCD in the last match of the season.
Former Bray Wanderers' striker, Jake Kelly, and Limerick striker, Stephen O'Flynn have also signed for Liam Buckley's side.

Is there anywhere on here with the official squad lists? The Airtricity site doesn't have them and a few of the sites have no squads or last seasons squads still on them.
Great job with this thread btw :)

How many times have you used that jest:rolleyes:
Loving it that you signed McCabe, Green, Powell, and Turner and they are all performing planks. SRFC Ultras = Sligo's Rejections FC.

Aye, as in a collection of players who have rejected contract offers from Sligo Rovers.

just the once i think. greene has played well for us, Turner 2 time champion, McCabe 1 time champion and powell hasnt played enough to be judged. as far as i remember your club stated greene had agreed terms and low and behold he signed for us as did turner so calling them rejets is laughable. as for the last bit of your post, did you get a 2 year old to think of that for you

Yeah, yeah. We kept on picking out the rough diamonds, made them sparkle, then they go to Shams and they turn to crap. Shams style is horrible - lumbering back play, limited midfield and a miserable Caledonian carrot up front. Cheer away.

Personally I think it's unfair on any team to have their playing style compared to the world renowned North West Brazil FC. They make Barcelona look like Wimbledon ffs!

Played a few friendlies, wasn't up to it I doubt and was let go.
In fairness, Barry O'Mahoney didn't look up to it last season but he came back this season looks fitter and played well in pre-season. Don't see the same football in Healy unfortunately.

Came reccomended from someone at Sligo afaik.
Whats Devanney up to now? He was a bit light of himself but def had some ability, would have been a good squad player in 1st Div.

Played for us last night V Castlebar. Did ok, but nowhere near good enough for a Premier Div side.

If his injury problems are behind him he would indeed be a great squad player. Only too disappointed with how he ended up at Harps, would have been a mighty player in the first division.

does anyone have any info on the the supposed scouts looking at jordan keegan and what sort of contract he'd be on. we almost lost ryan brennan for nothing as he was on an amateur contract (before finally losing him anyway for nothing to drogheda!!!)
I presume keegan is on a crappy enough contract but semi-pro and so we'd be entitled to some compensation. maybe it's all roddy talking the thing up to get some attention.
from what I've read and seen( mns) he does seems very good so here's to hoping
anyone at Gortakeegan have any details on his contract etc

not so much post-up his contract but just guarantee that he's not on an amateur one and hence we lose him for nothing!

We would get some of that compensation too, smashing player but has issues akin to JP Kelly ex bohs. If he sorts them out he would make it in england but i doubt it.

I had to look up John Paul Kelly to remind myself of him. He was some bit of stuff for Bohs. His wiki says he was fired by Liverpool. I remember hearing him in an interview saying he felt homesick so left Liverpool! What drove him away from football?
Roddy Collins went on a tirade on Newstalk 2 weeks back about Jordan Keegan and how gifted he was and contract issues with younger players. I think Collins stated that a few clubs are looking at him but he's gone about ensuring Monaghan were protected and wouldn't lose him on a free. The discussion was framed mainly in relation to Chris Forrester.

mark connolly has left bolton. was the reserve team captain. thought it was a bit surprising but also saw that he had attitude problems. suppose there is bugger all chance of having him back at 6 months or so!!!!!
