We have our centre halfs sorted and even have cover. :eek:
We're going to win the thing without breaking a sweat as it is so no need for such a luxury I'd imagine.
We need a central midfielder, maybe a striker and maybe a wide player.

Was actually chatting to gspain over the xmas and we agreed the only fear is the Division will be so terrible that Waterford and Longford beat everyone too and it comes down to a shootout between the three of us.
And Limerick don't do well in those situations!! (Limerick!! Shoot Out!! LULZ!!!!! There saved someone else the bother ;) )
Surely, surely, we'll walk it this year at long last though. You could put together a best eleven from all the other teams in the Division and it wouldn't touch us.

He was down at our Under 19's training last night, has an offer from ourselves but is way too good for 1st Division.

Terrible player imo. Buckley seems to rate him very highly though for some reason.

He tries, but he just doesn't do much. Slowest player I've seen with Pats.
he annoyed me more than he annoyed most though
Out of interest- have St Pats made efforts to move on the ringleaders of the dispute last summer?

It depends on the system you play in. I remember him playing for Sporting and he did a job. Horses for courses I suppose.

We've kept on 4 players from last year. Sean O'Connor (signed in mid season, not eligible for Europe), Ian Daly (mostly 3rd choice striker, actually did very well in Europe), Jake Carroll (reserve left back, played 15 minutes in Europe) and Conor Kenna (club captain, was injured and returned in midst of europe, VERY instrumental in getting team out for karparty game0
Buckley hasn't contacted a number of alst year's squad. now whether thats his choice, or the clusb, we'll never now (You can guess though)

Apparently Bohs have signed Neil Harney and Danny Joyce.
Whenever I've seen Harney he's been absolute rubbbish and likewise Joyce. It'll be a long season for us.

Well he said before the cup final and before we were signing any players that he was going to go to Canada so wouldn't be available next season. Don't know how that has turned into us telling him he wasn't being kept on.
Pats made him a very big offer yesterday so he's cancelled his flight now.

Bohs worst season in years and now Pats "steal" all our players ? Can see why you would boast about it all right ;)

Harney's poor enough. he's actually a decent footballer but takes too long on the ball and often makes bad decisions.
Made 6 starts in the league for us (including a 1-0 win in dalymount).

I remember you 1-0 win in Dalyer. Harney gave away what was a blatant penalty and the ref didn't give it.
Yep, thats the lad (and yeah, clear penalty)
Also put in a decent cross (after initally losing the ball) in the Leinster Senior final for Crowley's goal

Too busy crying about Luis Suarez's ban to take any notice.
Another Pats LSC stalwart, Sean Stewart, has signed for Bohs too.
You might remember him from the open goal he missed at home to Athlone.
Quick winger, he burst onto the scene in 2010 but regressed slightly last year. Was no more than a bit part player

no idea, Cobh is possible, but depends on what they offer, he could well retire - wouldnt rule out Limerick or Waterford if they were interested - don't think Limerick would be though

Dislike, surprised Ward was not kept on. Great wee player, can play most midfield roles. He is small but has a great engine, can be a little inconsistent however.

Very sorry to see Russell leave. He was one of my favouirite players for the past two seasons and his work rate was second to none and chipped in with a few goals. For whatever reason Cook just did not rate him last year - he went through phases of being on the bench and when he did start was often substituted on the hour mark when most felt he had been doing a reasonable job on the pitch. Rumour with us is that he might have been avoiding contact from Cook for the past few weeks - whether this had something to do with supposedly going to Canada who knows. At any rate a good signing for Pats if true.

John went to Canada, only to return a few weeks later. Maybe he thought he might get some offers over there or something ?
From what I've been told he's waiting on the results of some tests/appraisals. He can't get a job in Canada without them (football related)

Ya great signing for pats with John Russell.
One of my favourite players the past few seasons and one of the major factors behind our push for the title when Cook finally switched Kirby with Russell.
But as was stated Cook never really took to him for what ever reason, sometimes he loves a player irrationally and sometimes he seems to dislike a player irrationally.
Sad to see him go and I reckon this will haunt us.
