Picture of it here (http://www.kildarecountyfc.com/images/stadium.jpg).

I make it 20 to the right of the 'tunnel', and squinting a lot it looks like 35X5 down the other end, totaling 195?

More seats added to the left since that picture was taken (they are red in colours) its 250 and incidently 180 for Kilkenny game is nearly about right.

Great crowd last night especially considering it was a tuesday...the weather helped but definitely around the 3000 mark.

It's phenomenal - the sligo rovers manager was lamenting yesterday about the size of the crowd, and wishing that fans here in sligo would come out in similar numbers.

why was the crowd so big? was it the new signings / former international factors / new stand as another poster suggested?

Sorry, how could one doubt Nick?

However, I would be interested to hear from Cork supporters.

Judge for yourself, Doubting Thomas. Here is a short video from the game...

about 2000 id say tonight, mind you the turnstile operation is a farce at the showgrounds, cash being taken hand over fist at the ticket kiosk and no tickets being given out because they ran out. This is totally unprofessional and this amateurism usually leaves the clubs dry. Crazy stuff door of kiosk wide open 2 guys inside and one at outside the door and cash all over the floor of the kiosk/porto cabin. I would love to see the reconciliation sheet.
None of these people would run their business's that way

Longford v Rovers

Can't see how Ramblers is so low on your figures, 750 last night for the Limerick game, that seems to be the average figure for the season......

Longford - 686 (681; 1,004; 1,131) (missing Cork and Rovers)

Since you are missing Longford v Cork City this I will try to guess.

Stand might have been at most half full if you included few people sitting opposite the stand. I would guess 600.

Was it really necessary to quote the whole post just to make that one point?

750 is the second highest crowd I have for Cobh, not surprising for a top of the table clash against your nearest rivals. There's figures like 252 against Harps in Turner's Cross and 345 for Monaghan.

Less than 1,000 would be my guess today, possible as low as 750. Can't understand the logic of having the match at 3pm when the Dubs were playing in Croke Park, especially when we have three home matches in eight days, this one being the least attractive to most supporters.

The examiner said 2,200 which seemed low but I thought maybe they got it from an official source.

Good crowd for a team that has not won at home all season. The new stand looks very impressive and has turned Terryland into one of the top grounds in the country. Galway's promotions officer must be doing a good job considering the amount of young children there.
