Are other clubs doing the same as rovers with posters for matches to download and stick up in pubs and work? On another note, below the review of rovers-bohs in the star today was an ad for the match! Idiots

More than that. Perhaps the two people who posted here that actual know the ground have a better idea. Stand holds over 250, just over half full. Then people across the pitch and a decent crowd standing next to the stand against hoarding. 180 approx. I'd say, without a doubt it was around that.

As I said, I wasn't there. I got the info from someone else who went and who said he counted.
Anyways, not going to get in a fight over 60 people.

250 that stand holds? get real no way maybe in the bar underneath and all that stuff but no way 250
I don't think European games included here but about up towards 2,500 at City v Vadur, lets say 2,300 to be on the safe side.

I make it 20 to the right of the 'tunnel', and squinting a lot it looks like 35X5 down the other end, totaling 195?

In there defence they've added some handsome uncovered red seats since that was taken.
Btw the fact that people are still on here agruing about 120 v 180 speaks volumes about the fine work the FAI are doing

Does anyone go to Derry games these days?
More than you'd ever see at a UCD game, that's for sure....! :p ;)
I'm the only one who ever bothers to post up our attendances here - despite having to go and ask people the figures first - and I haven't been on the site much recently.
Will make an effort to find out the games your missing and to start reporting back more regularly.

Which teams bring the best away support to your grounds?
For us, it's Bohs then Rovers. Of the country teams, up to this year it's been Derry then Drogheda, order probably reversed this year - Drogheda brought about 1200 to Richmond for the Setanta semi, far less than that a couple of weeks later for the League game. Unless either we or Drogheda totally implode between now and then, I'd expect Richmond to be completely heaving on the last day of the season: Pats v Drogheda.
Wex v Dundalk: 742 official attendance

Bray game is more important. 2,300 not too bad as its not very important competition against unknown team. Uefa Cup would get much more & it think good for 3,500 next week against the Swedes.

1. Dublin V Cork (Hurling qualifiers - Saturday afternoon in Dublin).
2. Kerry V Cork (Munster Football Final on Sunday with many heading down for a night in Killarney the night before)
3. Intertoto not very important.
4. City 2-0 up from first leg and likely to go through anyway.
5. Worst summer (weatherwise) ever.
Take your pick from above.

I got my figure off one of the officials Seanie as i have to annoy them to the hilt to get it mate. I did not find out the breakdown as to how many paid in etc but it even looked a decent crowd on the box tonight as well but hopefully the new turnstiles will in place in a couple of weeks.

Unusually either the Echo or the Examiner report on this game gave the crowd as being 310. This must have come from an official source.

Pretty poor alright but maybe people went to the Derry League Cup game on Tuesday instead.

What was the attendance for the Bohs-Cork LC game on Tuesday? Deadly atmosphere towards the end made it seem like the first few blocks of the Jodi was almost full but from the journos, beside whom I was, over to the Cork fans it only seemed half-full.
Can't find it on the Bohs website or anywhere. (If it is somewhere obvious, feel free to abuse and delete.)

A group of us popped over last weekend to see some matches. The attendances given on the site so far....
Shamrock Rovers v. Bohemians (4,206)
I estimated approx 4,500 so I can well believe the official figure.
Sligo Rovers v. Longford Town (1,271)
I asked the officials after the game and I was given an official figure of 1,271. As we all thought there was approx 1,300 - 1,400 there this figure does appear to be quite realistic!
Bray Wanderers v. Waterford United (???)
Everytime, I decided to go out and count the crowd, it chucked it down with rain! I know there were about 160 hardy souls scattered around the ground plus the covered seating area was just over half full. There are supposed to be 1,300 covered seats, so we are probably talking 850 in total?
Has anyone got an official figure for the Bray Wanderers game?

310 is shocking for a team with promotion hopes.
Disappointing no doubt but there were a number of factors;
1.Saturday afternoon k.o's have been bad for us crowd wise.
2.Cork hurlers playing at the same time.
3. Local junior club ran a blitz at the same time with upwards of 150 or more at that.
4. City playing at home later that evening put paid to the casual support from the city.
5.Cork City sports on that evening.
I guess it was a combination of all 5 that led to the crowd being so small.
what was the crowd for cobh v derry in lge cup - showed a clip of it on rte news with john robertson first game for derry - looked to be a decent crowd for that game
i`m sure cobh fans will come out in greater numbers for the second half of the season

I'd say at the most 700 at our game tonight. I'll go 650
