they still haven't copped onto the fact that people won't pay €20 into an el match to sit in a cramped stand.

369 was the official figure i got off the FAI rep at the game.

Mr A

I don't think that included season ticket holders, and there was about 50 there tonight at least.

About 1100 at Rovers v Bray, another poor crowd. I'd say 20 Bray fans there but they were quite vocal throughout.

About 170 at Kilkenny v Ramblers.

bout 1300 tonight according to our PRO 2nite. i'd say there was a lot more than that cos there was enough ppl squashed in at the back of the stand(1500) to fill any empty seats and bout 150 bohs fans across the far side and one danny de vito lookalike who doesn't understand the game of football standing on the sideline

Think everyone in the ground is included in the official attn. To exclude the season ticket holders is wrong. 420 would seem to me to be high though

Id say about 220 at the Kildare -v- Wexford match tonight.

id tend to agree more towards 800 than 1000. Lot of empty gaps in the stand, fair few the far side and about 20 on the bank.

about 850-900 tops imo

How much does the stand hold? I thought it was only a bit more than half full, with about 60-80 standing on the far side.

Evening Echo said just over 4,000 at the Cork City -Derry game. Would have said 3,500 myself

P.S. The stand holds now over 1730 Red4eva, cant remember the exact figure was increased just before the Derry cup semi of last year.

How was it extended?!

1300 per the PRO? What's your source?

900 is about right for Waterford-UCD. 100 standing far side, didn't see the bank so will go with 100 and the balance in the stand, ranging from 20 down our end to full enough up the far end.

It looked smaller than that at the match just maybe creeping over 1,100 with about 50 United fans,Shocking to think that the league leaders cant fill their ground. We havent won at home this season and our smallest crowd was almost 1,400.

We've had the same problem for years, Joe Soap wants decent European teams rather then your average eL team.

You didn't send me any PM.

I went with the lower figure which had a proper source (i.e. the club PRO). This was in the absence of any back up to your figure.

Any Bohs fans got a view one way or the other?

Oh no! It's all a UCD conspiracy!!

I've sorted the reason I didn't get your PMs, so that's OK.If you want to read the thread properly, you will see someone quoting the CPO or the PRO as saying there were 1300 there, although they would have said a lot more. I didn't ignore you; I read your post and went with another one as per the rules ot the thread. It's been very effective to date if FAI figures are anything to go by, so I don't see any reason to change the rules.

However, let's wait and see what the Bohs fans say, eh? In the meantime, a bit less bluster from your good self certainly wouldn't go astray.

steady on lads ! I reckon you're not too far off RT - i estimated the crowd at around 1700-1800 (meant to put it on the rovers site) so if RT has the specifics, i would go with them.

That's grand, and without the rant too. Cheers.

We seem to be in general agreement that the 1300 was just wrong, so I'll change it to 1800.

Does this forum include FAI Cup games?

The official attendance for Galway United v Finn Harps was 1020.

At the final whistle, it seemed like there were 1000 Harps fans and 20 Galway United fans. :o

Shels v Cork City last night. Generous 700. That is based on me being bored & counting the crowd at the start of the second half.

Seems strange that getting smaller crowd than league games.

There were so many kids there will probably be a discount for grown-ups soon. :p

Very poor shams crowd last night, I'll leave it to others to guess but couldn't have been more than 500 I'd say? About 200-250 of us on top of that.

Not questioning what the Sligo fans saw or anything, but there is no motivation for a club to overstate the attendance at a cup game- as this would lead to the away club questioning why they didn't make more money from the gate. If anything, home clubs are more likely to understate the crowd.

Horrible attendance at Bray-St. Mochtas. I'd put it around 300-400. It was to be expected anyway.
