Pre season results mean nothing
Not worth posting being honest.
Couldn’t agree more. Don’t get it when clubs post the score of friendlies on social media like it matters.

But wait... the best thing about the CBL is the reporting of results and pointless videos. social media is king apparently

Where did I say social media is king? Social media is important this day and age especially with the younger generation. Its marketing and PR in general for the league is what the AUL is missing. What on earth does that have to do with my point about pre season friendly results being posted anyway? You are some man to take something out of context :-)

Hibs can do what they like. They've got great sponsorship and income this year and social media is part of the draw for sponsors. Should they post 10 nil? That's their own business.
Same with Village showcasing signings, results, pictures of ground. Its fantastic. Everyone talking about them and get more income as a result. Makes sense. They've pulled in players too, all plays a part for them.
Rathcormac putting up results and pictures. Again, fair play. They're the upcoming side. Fantastic cup win last year too.
Now, if you'd prefer that your digital use is kept to an anonymous forum here behind a screen then that's your business. You get your buzz and they get theirs.

Lots of lads on here just post to big up there clubs pre games when in all reality on the day when it goes all Pete Tong, we all wait on here for the next belter of an excuse. Just so we can all have a laugh.
Tis just all talk.
Coachford and Grattan may not win as many or as easy this season.
But they will still be the 2 best teams based on fact , not media talk or pub talk , fact.
Teams will have to finish ahead of them if they want to acheive anything .
Great to see all the rest strenghtening.
Grattan did well from Bohs demise.
Village from the Cows
If Coachford hadn't of gotten there manager back when they did last season , they'd be in Prem A an wouldnt have 2 cups.
On fine margins things can change massively.

Grattan v Coachford today.
O'Neill Park @ 2pm
Pity about last nites timing wise so near to the game .
Pity the intermediate is on this weekend.
Hope it's a good game between the Auls 2 best sides.
Always a good watch.
Either side would be favourites in the final.
Best of luck to the Gratts .

Strength to strength?getting hammered whenever they play teams outside their league and their Oscar traynor stuffed aswell.
Fair play to the people running it but the teams and standard are brutal as the past few nights have once again shown.
Their best team bya country mile has just left after winning every competition for years.
If that's going strength to strength then aul is flying!
Aul still miles ahead in all fairness

Lads what's going on in Village? There must be a B team we don't know about this year. Every time i Open my phone there announcing a new player. There is going to be a lot of unrest up there when fellas realise they won't be playing every week. That panel is massive

Grattan , could used the same excuse if I'm correct Scaffa.
Would I be correct in saying Grattan were missing Babbs, Curtin, Hartey, Scoops , Adam Lee , Harris plus about 4 or 5 others .
Coachford went 2 up and celebrated big time .
Grattan made it 2.2 at half time an pulled away in the 2nd half to win 4.2.
Spitzer with a hat trick.
The 1st lad I can remember scoring 3 against Coachford for a long while .
Well done to the Gratts , another final to look forward too.

For sure, watched them last night, they had Pa Long Gurta and Howie coakely in the middle, took all 3 off at half time and looked even stronger in the middle second half, the Lad Zack looks like he should be a guaranteed starter, the Lads brought in from Doolans imo shone brightest for them. In regards to the 3 that started in the middle they’re all getting up there in age will any of them be happy to start in the bench most week? Dunlea has a bit of a headache with team selection this year

Didn’t say anything about it being a great win or a scalp or anything of the sort, was giving my two cents on what I seen, and that was that there’s an abundance of midfielders who are good enough to start in most sides, someone is going to have to sit on the bench. That might lead to someone being u happy, that’s all

I see village are playing with 3 at the back . Gorta and howie can both play there . 5 subs also . Plenty of game time for lads . Gorta only 30 as well hardly getting on . Castleview is the big test during the week for village .

Watergrasshill are the new aghabolaghhhhgford with the favours from the league. They probably agreed to go premier if they can have a later start because they are in the middle of championship at the moment and have had a few big wins

Ridiculous carry on by Peppermint and committee allowing that take place. You don't have that in MSL / CBL.
They won't win it but if that happened like Coachford through the years, it's an unfair playing field.

Be a great laugh with only 8 teamsinnthe league.
UCC will be babysat.
I'd agree with Ger , I'd say the agreement to promote the Hill was done on the basis that they don't clash with the gaa,,,,,,dosent bother me anyway because they will struggle soon as its big game week after week and not 2 or 3 at the end of a season.
Coachford will have played more games in the league by next week than they did last by December. Bate that.
There's going to be a unbeliveable mess some weekend if the gaa clashes with the football.

The return is to play Premier. All teams should have the same chance, not manipulated by fixtures. The usual phone calls and suspected fast ones will continue. We've seen it in the first fixtures already across the divisions.
Anyway, some tasty games in the next couple of weeks to look forward to.

Whilst im against anyone having an unfair advantage.
I’d like the league to be as competitive as possible for all.
If it meant delaying the start by 3 weeks so be it.
Play the mossie 1st two rounds, the city and county cup two rounds there is ways around it.

Why does Paul pepper get the blame for everything on this page, he is (quote me if I’m wrong) the newest member of the committee.
If not the newest one of the newest anyway.
The season starts tomorrow and I’d like to wish all clubs the best of luck for the coming season.
Hopefully our league produces (as normal) most teams progressing in the MJC and fai cup out of all the cork leagues and again produce great rivalries throughout the divisions.
I think with who they brought in Coachford could go very far in the big cups(MJC FAI ) I’d go as far as saying they won’t be far from finals.

I’d be inclined to agree with Goal here.
Mr Pepper is one of the more pro active guys there he pushes the social media he is approachable will help out where possible.
The AUL is improving maybe not quickly enough for some people’s liking.
And let’s be honest they are crying out for more people to get involved at board level I see no queues forming with people offering to help out.

Goal, you're pleased as you have your preferential treatment on tap. You know how to play it and it works for you, well done.
He's in charge of fixtures and that's him alone. Fixtures are openly giving advantages and disadvantages which are strictly against the rules of the game. As critical everyone is with the top man, you know he's the same with everyone. Salt isn't.
There are a lot of examples of poor behaviour with certain Clubs and buddies having different treatment. I will leave it at this.
