That happened me before aswell. My 2 strikers scored all the goals, Seimon got 3 and Hrutka got 2 :)

I got to round 5 last year. Beat a Series II team and got knocked out by Inter United who were the then Irish Champions and highest ranked team left. I would like to make it back to round 5 again though round 3 or 4 is more realistic.

I saw that alrite, unlucky. I'd say that if i played against a team like that then he'd have to play about 6 reserve players only and still beat me. Sure James's coach scored against me last year. But i still beat Adam 5-0 :p

According to transfer compare they go for 800k. He also has excellent stamina and inadequate playmaking. Means I can play him offensive to boost the midfield. He has a few weeks of training behind him and I am definately going to train him up to outstanding before I cash in but that could be a good 10 weeks. Problem is I bought him for quite a lot when I joineed as I didn't know what I was doing. I signed him at 19 so he is 21 now. You're talking about a good 11 or 12 weeks for a pob at this stage.

The full back I sold the other day was pure profit. He cost 2k and he had passable winging and inadequate defending. I trained him up to solid and sold him for 150k. He was 22 when I signed him, again when I didn't know what I was doing. So he is my only profit so far. I have two lads who were inadequate defenders when I signed them for 1k each and they are both excellent plus a bit now. Not sure when I will sell them. They have no secondaries.

It really does payoff to have a good defence. It is really hard to score on me and despite being only the 3rd best team last year I conceded the least goals. It's rock hard for me to score though as I only play 1 striker. I need to play 5 defenders to maximise training and have to play 4 midfielders to keep possession up.

I just don't have the money. My midfield is always struggling to muster up quality. The inadequate fella was solid last year and was great due to the experience but he is 35 and one day dropped a whole load in skill. I brought in a 30 year old solid Irish fella with no secondaries for 60k. I hope when the gate receipts roll in I will sign another veteran. No harm. It can take so long to get to grips with the game. Some people after seasons do not play friendlies every week and seem to have not even a slight training programme. It's a confusing game and only experience and chat with other players can teach you. Not the rule book.

I sort of did. But in hindsight I wished I signed more 17 year old inadequates for 1k. When you decide what to train you are best to clear the board in that position and bring in all young trainees. Defence is easiest to start into as secondaries are not too important and you can keep your midfield the most important part without having to bring in trainees.

Not a chance. When I came to my league there was only two teams who existed previously. So there's always been two teams miles better than the rest of us. One of those got promoted and was replaced by a relegated bot. So now I have only one clearly better team than me but his midfield is full of formidables and outstandings. I don't have a chance. We even got a good human team promoted to the league. I could finish anywhere from 2nd to 5th. I hope 2nd though.

He's a bit too old now though. I have a 30,000 stadium so hopefully gate receipts can being in a few more excellents. Does anybody know what training Short Passes is like ?? what will pop if i train this ?

Be very careful with the auld fella. His skills could drop two levels in an instant. With that level of set pieces keep him in the team as long as he has some skill. You'll get no resale value on him at this stage.

Short passes trains passing for all midfielders and strikers. On average it is a week or two shorter than training a primary. You could play 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 or even 2-5-2 if you are mad to train a fair amount of people. However passing is useless compared to primaries at this low level. You're better off sticking to playmaking or whatever you train.

Your right about the auld fella, He's dropped a few already on the secondaries like passing. I'm gonna stick with the playmaking i reckon. The problem i have is that most of them have wretched passing. I think i just bought another innner mid by mistake, i was half asleep and put a fairly substantial bid in. Hopefully he'll turn out good though.

Just signed a 17 y/o old passable wing, inadequate defence and playmaking for 35k to be my new wing back trainee. He also has inadequate stamina. He'll make a great defender in a couple of seasons. Hopefully the defence will pop sooner rather than later.

I generally dont know how my SC is so big, considering the **** season I had last season. Every week last season, even though I was getting beaten 5-0 or 6-0 I still gained about 10-15 supporters. In the last 3 weeks when I have won 3 games in a row. I got about 40 a week. It still seems a lot though :cool: Will pass the 2000 mark this week :)

EDIT: I have 8 spokespersons, they drag in the crowds. That is porbably why.

I have 10 spokespersons and have been playing the game longer and you still have 400 odd more supporters, ya lucky ba$tard! Also dont spokespersons just make the sponsors happy and then the sponsors will give ya money??
