New season, new thread, same objections and quarrels, presumably.

This is how we finished up last season -

PREMIER DIVISION
Bohs - 1,993 (2007 - 1,924; 2006 - 1,463; 2005 - 1,976; 2004 - 2,340) (missing Cork 2)
Bray - 1,106 (1,200; 1,027; 1,550; 818 FD)
Cobh - 1,122 (681 FD; 368 FD; 403 FD; 240 FD)
Cork - 3,142 (2,897; 2,941; 3,644; 4,033)
Derry - 3,363 (2,614; 3,229; 2,698; 1,672) (missing Cobh 2)
Drogheda - 1,631 (1,919; 1,751; 1,682; 1,554) (missing Pat's 2)
Harps - 1,607 (1,164 FD; 428 FD; 1,347; 1,106 FD) (missing Cobh 2)
Galway - 1,393 (2,199; 1,148 FD; 566 FD; 571 FD)
Pat's - 1,795 (1,910; 1,342; 1,599; 1,882) (missing Cork 2, Derry 2 and Galway 2)
Rovers - 1,468 (1,715; 1,089 FD; 1,539; 1,349)
Sligo - 1,960 (1,448; 1,806; 1,794 FD; 781 FD)
UCD - 546 (663; 546; 653; 306 FD)

FIRST DIVISION
Athlone - 387 (670; 421; 316; 291)
Dundalk - 1,459 (1,406; 1,078; 474; 591)
Kildare - 241 (243; 265; 186; 298) (missing Monaghan 2, Fingal 2 and Waterford 2)
Limerick - 517 (670; 364; 669; 188)
Longford - 406 (885 PD; 681 PD; 1,004 PD; 1,131 PD)
Monaghan - 177 (292; 204; 183; 182) (missing Kildare 2, Waterford 2 and Wexford 2)
Shels - 986 (888; 1,690 PD; 1,949 PD; 2,158 PD)
Sporting Fingal - 688 (N/A) (missing Kildare (both), Waterford (both))
Waterford - 670 (1,181 PD; 915 PD; 1,513 PD; 1,753 PD)
Wexford - 767 (810)

Premier Division average - 1,746 (1,687; 1,535; 1,759; 1,853)
First Division average - 641 (722; 570; 520; 512)

Overall average - 1,221 (1,235; 1,070; 1,195; 1,218)

FD is an average crowd in the First Division; PD is an average crowd in the Premier Division. I've only put that in where the attendances was when the club was in a different one to their current division.

Hopefully we'll have a few more official, reliable figures this year; always seem to get one or two more clubs doing official figures each year.

Bray v Rovers,

my guess is 2,500.
about 1,200 Rovers fans, best away support in the league.

according to extratime.ie 2500 at it, but rte.ie/sport has it down at a 'crowd of over 3000'.......

me personally would have said somewhere in the middle 2800

There was 4,000 - 4,500 at Oriel Park. There was 3,800 at the Dundalk Celtic match on Sunday and there was certainly more at tonight's game.

Apologies for the extratime attendance. Was my input but was extremely hard to hear what he was saying. A distinct mumble was all i could make out. heard 6 hundred and guessed the rest.
I will change to 650.

Done.

ye very good rovers crowd at the game, they nearly filled the red seats, i'd say about 1600 rovers, i was told the tent was pretty full, 1000, and with another 200 squeezed behind the goal, so i'd say 2800 aswell.

Seems about right - knock one of the 0s off for their next home attendance given their performance!

I thought it was a decent enough crowd in Inchicore. They would have gotten less last season in a game against us and are clearly much worse now. Very encouraging Galway crowd as well.

Approx. 4,200 at Dundalk vs. Bohemians. 3,600 paid in on the night with about another 600 season ticket holders.

Were most matches all ticket? Youths-Shels was, had to buy a ticketmaster ticket from the ticket office before going to the turn styles. If everyone is doing this official figures should be available for all games.

I'd say that sounds about right. Dundalk's support was fairly impressive.

I'm pretty sure ALL matches are supposed to be all ticket. I know I was at Shels vs. Fingal last year when the lights went out. As they hadn't given out ticket stubs they had to pay out €15 to everyone who wanted a refund as they had no way of proving if they'd only paid €5 or €10 in. They've learnt their lesson I see.

On that subject, €15 for adult and €10 for student is a shocking price for a 1st Division match. Anyway, I'd say at least 75 Youths supporters there

3,100 and that is actually official.

I'm not sure if we will get official figures for the whole season but that figure is from the Derry city directors.

A very good away support as well from the Drogs....maybe 150.

Official attendance from Tolka was indeed 1,077.

I don't think you need to look too far into the sands of times past to know why Shels continue to charge PD prices in the FD. Rovers did exactly the same when they went down. Has to be done.

Why should I have to pay PD prices to see MY team play as a away supporter. Charge your own fans what you like
