where has your crowd disappeared too from the first game of the season when ye attracted 5000 people?
Bohs brought more up for that game, it was also our first game back in the premier in 7 years and alot came out for that but also a detrimental effect on the attanedance was the fact that the game was live on TV so.
1,138 at Pats -v- Galway in Inchicore about 50 from Galway.

800 in the Bowl, maybe a 850.
I think the 750 you said is more accurate.

I don't. I debated the point when we were on the far side of the ground from the stand and he conceded.

I know its not a league match or anything but there were 3343 at Tolka tonight v Leeds. Thats a good little earner for us.

Leeds brought a decent crowd then ?
Good money spinner for Shels but very depressing to see a flipping league one team can attract a much better crowd than most premier LOI games.

Leeds brought a decent crowd then ?
Yeah they did indeed. I dont know whether thats meant to be a shot at us or anything but im not too pushed about it because after all we do take the money from gate receipts.
Fair point Mr. A especially considering we only 3 first team starters playing and we drew with a Leeds side which was pretty strong throughout.

That all? Thought it was more. What's the main stand hold? It was fairly full anyway, with a generous smattering in the temporary stand too.

Oh. Thought it was 2500. No idea why. In that case, 2100 wouldn't be far wrong, I'd say.

1113 in Tolka tonight.
Decent crowd, fair play to Shels, often slagged off re fanbase, but have to say their hardcore has really stuck with them, zero away support is the big problem in this division. Not suggesting poor Fingal away support, just mean in general.
1,061 given on extratime.ie for Galway v Dundalk..

I'd say about 1,000 at Drogs V Bray. No more than about 25 Bray fans.

There fans where brilliant it has to be said. They really helped to raise their teams performance. Once we missed the penalty it lifted the fans and they really helped the team.
Dont worry we do have poor away support:D

No more than 70.
About 3500 at Waterford United v Ipswich last night for the record. Pity it doesn't count in our season average! It would be nice to see some of them at the RSC on a more regular basis but thats football in Ireland.

3253 is the official figure I hear today, and there were 30 more dignitaries and assorted hospitality types not included in that, plus as large a press contingent as we've had in a while (U-21 internationals included). Never seen as many photographers there!
Even had our biggest ever U-20 attendance there today! :D

Would have said about 2,000 at tolka yesterday - Richmond 2/3 full, so 1,000+ there. Lego less than half full. Riverside was open and had a few hundred.
Best football I've seen us play in a long time.

Considering there was around 15,000 across the road at the bogball then it wasn't a bad turn out.

When there was a stoppage in play I did a rough headcount of the away terrace and there was 25-30 max in it. Whether there was more in the stand is a different ball game. It's impossible to tell.

I just find this attendance baffling, most at the game would struggle to tell you what county Ipswich is in. Typical Irish attitude to football, hate the England national side, but love their clubs. :o

While that is true, the big attendance isn't that much of a surpise really. Certainly no-one down here ever doubted it would be a sell-out, and we were right.
Firstly it's the first high-profile friendly we've had in years since being stung by the Leicester City thing years back, secondly the ticket prices were very low, €15, €10 and €5, and thirdly don't for one second underestimate the Keane effect.
That's been dismissed by many misguided souls already, and no doubt will be again, but ask yourself, how many would we have had at this game if Jim Magilton was still managing them? That's right, 1272. Possibly the effect is wearing off elsewhere, Cork only had virtually the same attendance as ourselves on Keane's third visit there in as many years, but not here where it was a novel occurence.
People were convinced that this was an event, and Irish people may not like having to get off their arses to go support a team, but they are rather partial to an event.
BTW, we are all highly intelligent down here otherwise, and everyone knows where Ipswich is. :D
I don't get your point dcfcsteve.
Of course the majority of them won't be back (though it is to be hoped some will, we'll see on Saturday).
Should we not have bothered then?

If WUFC made some money out of it, then thats fair enough. Its just a pity the majority in attendance will unlikely to be returning anytime soon

Well i dont no where you learned to count, there was 20 on the bus(i was on it), i no of two full cars that came up(10)and another 4-5 cars came up with at least 2 or 3 in them, thats just in the terrace and i no there were a few in the seats as well.

Good work getting the caapcity of the stadium up to that level.
I'm assuming the capacity will stay at that level for their upcoming league games, so wil be interesting to see what crowd they get for proper fixtures.

It won't be staying that way, planning for the temporary stands is only for 15 days from what I've heard. The new stand should be part opened soon offering some increase in capacity.
