I'd like to think we'd hit the 1k mark. We do for most matches anyway.

I've no problem in being corrected if it means an increase in attendance.

Dundalk will take a good crowd to Richmond on firday, we took huge crowds to Finagl and Shels alst season so theyll prob be slighly higher this season! You can expect at least 2000 at Richmond so if the locals turn up!

they don't give us tickets at the RSC

I'd say 800-1000 in the RSC last night. About 300 Shels fans included in that I would say too.

I'd go with 700 at the WUFC-Shels game. No way there were 300 of us, 150 - 170 max.

Agreed, this thread should be to update and comment on attendances on games that have been played not for ones in the future.

462 according to extratime, I'd be surprised if that's not official. If it's not I'll have a word with the reporter!

Aside from 6000+ at home to Bray in first game of the season a few years ago that would be standard figure for Bray games. People are not keen this season watching 10 men behind the ball...

Actually, I have to admit that I assumed he meant Cork until I read your post. :o On second reading, I may have been making some assumptions there. :D

Even the first game of the season was well down on last year's though. 4700 down to around 3500. (Incidently, last years was against Bray, I agree, not exactly a glamour tie).

the official attendance for Wexford v Longford was 462. Stand was no where near full and very few standing around the pitch not a bad attendance considering bottom of the league so hopefully get a result in Athlone and have a good crowd for Limerick game

belive it! lads ive often given figures which are from my own experiance of walking around grounds with a clicker doing counts. last year in a certain ground i thought the attn was small so i went and counted. The count proved that the attn was around 215 yet in the media in the coming days it was said to be over 400 more then that. heres a pic i got from the second half of the populated side at the ucd game a few weeks ago. i said at the time that the crowd was small and about 100 give or take a few. now i got panned by the UCD lads for it but i was only going on what i saw.

There's absolutely no way there were only 700 fans in Tolka last night. Look back through the old threads and you'll see that my guesstimates before the official figures were released (it use not to be announced at half time) were always fairly accurate. I would have said 900-1000 for last night.

From what i have seen on this thread from last year and this, Its only the home fans (as long as they are being honest) Who can predict the attendances accurately enough to be believed. They know their ground and what it looks like at various attendances.

Very true. A limerick fan (no offence) has no idea how to judge attendances in Tolka, just as much as if I guessed an attendance in Limerick it would be a very rough guesstimate.

Well there's hardly going to be much more in those 2 little sections now...

Gael, a quick count of the picture will give you around 150. Add in people in the two other sections and outside of the stand and you're looking at a crowd almost 200. Yes, a very low crowd, but nearly 100% larger than your estimate.
