Coachford watergrasshill los zarcos if players not gone to cork game haha and Rathcormac coachford B my predictions for weekend think Coachford will have to much out in cross for Grattan but we’ll give it ago and enjoy the day.

What's this ref?you were talkin about a treble for your might gratts a few weeks back and now your tipping coachford?

Id say ull change your mind again tomorrow will ya?

Good weekend of ball coming up fellas, every game with a cup or league on the line.

Mossie Final - Grattan v Coachford
Whichever side wins will be ending their season with a double and probably AUL team of the year on top of it. The Cross will probably suit Coachford a bit more and I can see them coming through this by a couple of goals.

Presidents Cup Final - Coachford B v Strand B
Don’t know too much about either side but it’s a testament to both clubs that their Bs are competing in a final. Looking at the league table you’d have to fancy Coachford.

Division 1 - Shandon v Watergrasshill
WGH coming off a very surprising result last weekend but have a chance to all but wrap up the league on Sunday morning and should get over Shandon.

Division 2 - Los Zarcos v Grattan B
A draw will be enough to clinch the league for Los Zarcos whereas a win for Grattan will take it to a playoff between the two. I think Los Zarcos will have too much pace on their home patch against an aging Grattan side.

Division 3 - Rathcormac v Kilbrittain
Rathcormac have a chance to make it two successful weekends on the trot as a win will clinch the league for them. Kilbrittain need at least a point to keep their own promotion hopes alive.

I’ll probably head to the two games in the Cross myself. Is anybody else on here heading elsewhere?

Id say a coachford double, wgh, los zarcos and rathcormac.
Huge weekends for both grattan and coachford clubs with both their A teams and B teams in contention same weekend

No Joe I’m being honest now watched Coachford in Aoh final thought they were 100 times better on big pitch than they were last league game above in Grattan kills me to say

Play it out

Be a good game.

O'Sullivans of Coachford their main attacking threat while Bullman of Grattan could roll any defender.

It's a different manager moving to Mayfield from AUL.

You couldn't trust John Corcoran in charge of a team. He will be off to Ringmahon. He was joining them in January until he got the ban.

I say you got rolled by Jonny c a few times or else you couldn’t get in a team he was heading ha ha .. some boy for a goal ..

As much of a head case as he is John's a quality footballer. I think he's won everything in the AUL, multiple times in some cases. He should have went senior years ago as he had the talent but not the attitude. Similar to Vinny Lonergan, 2 players with a god given talent that should still be at the highest level. I know Vinny won a bit early in his MSL career but should have more.

Both sides have class players.
Be brilliant to see the starting line up even now.
Hasn't been a buzz about a final like this in a long time , hope there's a big crowd.
Games being streamed live by Grattan which is a brilliant gesture.
The Aul needs a massive final an these 2 teams will bring it big time.
I think there's too much made of the so called Grattan legs thing.
Lots of just bitterness.
Be better off just wishing both teams well letting the battle commence.

Agree Jason anytime I watch grattan they seem to outwork the other time they don’t give fellas a second on the ball, the big pitch may favour coachford but grattan will work like dogs, any injuries for either side that we know of?

Hopefully bothsides are at full strength.
Both sides have attacking full backs and strong wingers.

Good keepers an centerhalfs.

Both teams have pace out wide.

Butt Bullman is on fire . Game winner me thinks.

Because if you have watched any games outside of the AUL you’d realise the cow have been one of the best junior teams in cork. Taking into account performances in provincial and national tournaments

I seen them a lot the last 10 years. Also I wouldn’t class the Business League as junior .

Munster Senior League is Senior

AUL and Munster Junior League is Junior

Business League is Novice at best .

They are after getting more walkovers it’s scary. Keegan was a fine player the keeper Murphy is very good . Jamie and Cotter good players but Jamie is the only one that could play AUL Premier now. The rest are Div 1 or Div 2 players.

I was told too by a fella in work that Jamie is going to village.

You mean they were on for a quad a few weeks back, he hasn’t a clue what he’s talking about. grattan won a very very poor premier. they be lucky to finish top 4 next season with this squad.

Who exactly will finish ahead of them for the top 3 next year? Because UCC and Springfield certainly won’t, coachford probably will, village the jury is out, there’s still some poor players in their 11, castleview will be a wildcard but we don’t know how they’ll handle the premier they could be as strong as people think or they might have been a big fish in a small pond. Donoghmore, I’ll be honest I haven’t seen them play so I can’t comment, Grangevale gone, wanderers and Corkbeg won’t finish above them in a million years either. JP Sull hasn’t started many games for them this year I think he’s in a sort of semi retirement

Big pitch suited the faster sharper Coachford boys . Also played a lot more football than Grattan who just hoofed everything long. Didn't have the legs and runners to trouble Coachford really. Need to get a few young lads in pronto.

Coachfords fitness is too much for anyone in the AUL and that counts for awful lot on a big pitch like today. Saying that grattan did look very leggy. Wonder did the celebrations for the league win drag on a bit too long?

TurnTheFullback
16/06/2024, 9:25 PM
Agreed Latte , wasn’t the same hunger shown above in O Neill park last Wednesday when the league was already wrapped up , maybe it’s a leveller against the likes of Coachford but I was surprised that they didn’t land a few more punches on Coachford today , was very straight forward for them. Team of the year surely wrapped up for them.

Harsh ref
16/06/2024, 9:44 PM
You won’t land punches if you don’t try play football looking at that display today from Grattan and it’s sad to say it was like kick the ball long and chase it didn’t string anything together love to know what their plan was cause it could of been 8 1 at full time in my opinion.

Who?

Tell ya the standard in aul the cross is a different story shows who's who and the cross would suit coachford all day long grattan pitch is absolutely terrible and there hard beat there because of it can't play ball on it..so I think the got lucky with the league ..coachford be eating themselves the didn't play start the season and played gaa instead but still a double with the mossy and aoh fearplay to them

To go a full league season unbeaten isn't luck.
They were poor and well beaten yesterday...callin them lucky when went unbeaten in league, including beating coachford away a bit of a stretch!
Personally I think a bad day at the office and maybe celebrations were heavy after winning league.

17/06/2024, 10:54 AM
Winning league isn't down to all luck at all, Grattan outlasted everyone.

Who....Coachford would have been well out of league action if they played games. They lost their first one, got AUL to stop playing league games and paid off their manager to leave to get the players back on side. Worked out well as always, double champs. Same again next year, 2 or 3 trophies again be expected.

Was at the game yesterday… As far as I was told Coachford manager isint paid. Is Grattans? I don’t see the problem with it anyways. Once there is a cup or cups there at the end of the season. Was very one sided yesterday but don’t take away from Grattan. Been Coachfords only thorn the past few years could be like the Cow in Business league otherwise. Grattan have been the only team to keep up with Coachford for years and that in itself is a credit to keep taking them on year in and out and this year they got their reward winning the league. Grattan have represented themselves very well all year and thankfully have something to show for it.

Almost there Division 1 will become finished this evening most likely with Watergrasshill like crowned champions.

A good spread of Winners from all over the county which is really good for the league.

Hopefully a few more teams join and the a new jointly owned Astro for the AUL a step in the right direction

Agree be some rubbish talk going around next few weeks think you could see few managers in premier jumping ship cause don’t think they’ll be able to built team to compete with coachford next season just my opinion difference between
Coachford is theses lads want to win for parish and will sit on the bench waiting for their chance to play they had at least 23 players togged off last 7/8 games of the season sign of good club the problem up northside is if a player is dropped for two games he and he’s half decent he won’t sit on bench he’ll jump ship that’s what’s happening for years with theses club and the simple reason coachford dictate it was same scenario with Park for years players stayed with club when they were dropped and just waited for chance to play and that’s why they win so much.

Village have a few passenger's but also have some very good players. There just after signing 4 top players one of them will be probably the best player in the AUL. From what I’m hearing Castleview and village are building squads to challenge coachford. Could be a very strong division

Hahaha you’ve kept me entertained over the course of the season I give you that. Aulstar surely won’t bite will he. We’ll all need to add players if we’re to compete with coachford next season they’re a solid side. FairPlay to grattan for pipping them to the league but if coachford started the same time as everyone else Grattan would have won the league by 10 points

Colin isn't the player he once was, legs aren't moving as freely. Dean and Jamie could be a real deadly duo. Village have strengthen in CM were it was needed still suspect at the back unless Keniry or Gurta even Pa play back there for them. Big blow for the Cow and CBL losing their main player, will any of his team mates follow him to Village or aren't they good enough as some people on here think?. Anymore talk on more B teams entering the league more teams is overall better for the league. I rewatched the cup final again online thr coverage didn't give Coachford enough credit, they were superb that big pitch really suits them. Super fit team. Grattan will need some legs aswell for next season they're an ageing team

Jamie is the only one from the Cow that’s good enough. Especially with the playes after bringing in .
Rest of that cow team are bang average

Lads way to early to be talking about next season ffs this season not over yet till all theses players walk out first game of season with jersey on stop wasting my time it’s no good village signing all these strikers if they don’t sign players to supply um we seen in Aoh it could of being a cricket score so for village to compete with coachford next year in my opinion they’ll need to sign at least 7/8 excellent players not good players same apply to Grattan they’ll need 7/8 players with the players that or moving on the only other danger to coachford will be Castleview senior /juniors and talk on the street is their senior or struggling to sign players so the junior team will suffer up there and before I finish Aul gone to ****e committee have no comment sense all their interested in is money teams having players sent off yellow card and mark my words it be worse next year with certain man taking over ps have lovely year with ye can wait to voice my opinion again next year from yer friend Harsh oh ya full stop ……….

90% of that Village team are bang average, they have some really poor players in that squad .The Cow front three and back line are better than what Village have. Goalkeeping situation is probably around the same. We get it you're a AUL man and don't like Doolans bang average Cow. You ignore most of my message but will reply to the Cow bits.
