People are picking and choosing bits of what I said.

I am not referencing Watergrasshill as a club.

Excellent club , always completed at underage level.

I'm on about a team , individual team who in a normal season under normal cumstamces and with clashing Gaa commitment would , I dare say could not compete, they would be stretched too far.

19s , ur havin a laugh . Let's see how many of those actually stick around with Mayfield, Mallow,Fermoy and Riverstown all MSL with top class facilities an alike tapping them up. Never mind City an Ramblers. Era na I'd rather play Aul Prem A,,,,,,,,

My point alludes to the fact it the Aul premier had 2 sides who are top heavy on Gaa lads then the fixtures would all but be played by the other teams with those 2 catching up.

On the Village thing , if Dulea can get them focused then they have a real chance.

Pointless staying that in the head to head games they lost out.

If the head to head game was at the start of the season UCC didn't have a team an Coachford got special treatment. Fact

Sensible thing for Hill to do would be put 19s in as B team. Those players aren't good enough to play Senior after summer. AUL wouldn't care about the fixtures being out of whack too.

How couldn't they get focused for cup final?

We all know Coachford are favourites. We know Village have a few good players. Most likely outcome is Village are disorganised and lose it completely if they conceded a goal or two. There is a chance they take lead and go from there. That is the scenario we all want.

Of course it's relevant to talk about head to head. You said their XI is a match for anyone. It wasn't a match for Grattan, UCC or Coachford all season so far. Is it a match next week? Let's see.

Again you pick an choose......

Village when motivated are a completly different side to the let's just turn up an play Village.

Liverpool turned up once an missed a spotter against the crazy bunch ( lost on a few I'd say) .

The thing is for me , Village actually believe they have a chance, I agree.

Latte I being asked to educate you fella knocka went after winning premier mossy Aoh not when the going got tough they went out after winning everything and for me Watergrasshill sort out gaa and soccer players they will be competing again next year they’ll easily pick up treble this year for me Aul should definitely scrap 3rd division if I’m right with grange gone that’s 40 teams left 4 divisions 10 teams each

I'm picking the three best team to compare to as you said they have as good an XI as anyone. Those results say otherwise to that claim.

Did they not leave the year after coachford won the league with half the team dropping into aul 2 with same manager and half the team as blarney Street?

Watergrasshill are a good club. A really good club.
That have a very good underage structure.
The traditionally field an average junior side.
They now have an above average junior side.
It won't last. The Gaa will put an end to it one way or the other .

Who of the teams going down would I ask to stay up,,,,,,who would I ask to step up.

Defo Glenthorn an Corkbeg should not be relegated in a league where the entire league knows another team have been caught cheating on multiple occasions, that's fundimentally wrong.

I'd expell one an Grangevale are gone , no relagation.

AOH Is fixed for da May bank holiday weekend for as long as I can remember anyways the Friday, as for the league decider provided both teams win their 2nd last game a Wednesday night is a funny one for either side whoever lifts da cup to be honest.

As for Glenthorn they have to go down clubs in big trouble otherwise. Let’s be honest letting them down wouldn’t impact any of the other leagues in any term whatsoever

I’ve been on here awhile and I think @jason bourne you are being very unfair to the Watergrasshill side. They have a good honest bunch and are soon going to be one of the best teams in the all if they don’t go up to MSL because they have a strong underage academy. Coachford will defeat village well I believe. A lot of teams going to struggle with no academy’s behind them depending on transfers. I think too many teams in the north side is the downfall of all their success!

Premier shaping up to be a decent league next year with view and donoughmore going up. Two decent sides in fairness have watched them both a few times this season. Glenthorn and corkbeg gone is no loss to the league. Be a very exciting league if the hill join it

Throwing this out there I know coachford going for treble Watergrasshill will do treble in my opinion that’s expected so what ever happens next two weeks I’m throwing Lenny from Village in mix for manager of the year for simple reason that club were on their knees in August what they done since was fantastic might not win a thing but think that accolade should go down to job you do and not what you win all the time small rant before I head back to work

One Trick Pony
25/05/2024, 9:24 PM
Would have to put nagle from castleview in to the mix for that too harsh the turnaround of the view since last season has been immense and curtin as well with fatten if the double happens they’ve been a big force up in o Neil park all season

Harsh ref
25/05/2024, 9:57 PM
Totally disagree there trick Grattan pay managers so in my eyes they should compete every year and James love that lad won poor league went out of cups to early massive squad to pick from so not a chance and play it these’ clubs competing for doubles trebles paying managers who look after players to sign my choice Lenny doing this for love of club just my opinion let in sink in ye might agree

Cityboy66
26/05/2024, 8:26 AM
He has done a very good job with village but overall they’re only in an AOH final. Finished mid table in a poor premier league bar two teams. The two teams that are top most of their players are around with a while so all local, we had this debate a few weeks ago about teams not winning cups saying it’s ‘not’ a good season if you don’t have cups at end of season. Not saying he hasn’t a good job done building for a big year next year from the talk I’m seeing on here but there is a few clubs you could make arguments about a manager turning them around.

Is there anything in the rulebook for the result to stand ? I.e. after 70 mins played

No idea what they’ll do. Any other team a replay would be fine but Considering it’s Watergrassghil and they still have 6 league games and that was Q Final of cup then I’m not sure how the rule book actually works.. weird one as it seems to be the only game that was pulled in middle of game during rain yesterday.

fruice
26/05/2024, 11:22 AM
There is nothing in the rule book that refers to the time of the game.

The league can choose to use a score at the time of the abandonment as the result but they can also order a full replay

They hardly had a Gaa game did they,,,,,,even Abdabadoolougfjord wouldn't try that,,,,,,but then again the Cork Aulgaa would sort the lads out.

Ye are all so bitter if your the best your the best, you win. If you get away with your pitch been unplayable this week because your a certain team this week your a cheat but if it suits you the next week it’s all above board.
This forum has gone from being an honest conversation about the Aul to how the aul has fecked us more then ye.
The best 2 teams in the aul will shoot it out on Wednesday night. No questions asked. Best of luck to both.
Well done to Castleview on an unbelievable season.
Watergrasshill are in the making the biggest contenders to Coachford taking in age profile. And they will continue to grow. Well done to them and hopefully they continue to progress.
Los Zarcos are looking really strong and rightly so they Are mill street Celtic who have produced unreal AUL talent.
The 3rd is a pleasure for a change in stead of one newly formed team running away with the league.
Enjoy it all boys because next year every league could be over by Christmas

Oh and I find it offensive about 2 teams in premier this year

GerCork
26/05/2024, 7:48 PM
Manager of the year cannot be Lenny im sorry now. Village have been a breath of fresh air and fair play to them but at the end of the day they are going to finish 24 points behind the league winners and had a very soft route to the AOH final. Just my 2 cents ....

Jason I don’t get your point?
Who said UCC would wipe the floor with everyone?
UCC have not lost a game against anyone outside the top 2 all season. On top of that watergrasshill are the only other team to beat them in cork this year.
18-23 is the age bracket, give them kids some bit of credit.
They are not a saucy bunch or disrespectful team so why does no one recognise their achievements this year. It’s bang out of order in my opinion whether it is one sided or not.

What a sign. Nobody can compete with that. That sign unbeatable!

You've Grattan members here then talking down Castleview as a club all year. At the same time they've three adult teams and underage. Now apparantly the sign at Grattan is the best.

There's levels to it all. Other nations look down on LOI. LOI look down on Intermediate. Intermediate look down on Junior. Now a new category, signs!!!

Grattan are on course for succes themselves, they don't need these cheap pops here. It's a funny read though.

Watergrasshill looking to start a second team for next season so most likely a new 3rd division team.

Shows they must be holding onto a lot of their younger lads!!!
Good to see their underage bearing fruit.

Great to see more b teams.
Good for the league
